Hi Robb, I'm pleased you guys enjoyed Katun. I reckon it's one of the best B&M's around. How long were the queues? -

Robb, A great trip report as always - looking forward to the rest of reports from your trip. I'm glad you guys enjoyed Hansa Park & Klotten. Those 2 parks were a huge suprise to me - when I did my German trip last September. Did you try the other 'self operated' rides at Klotten ? One comes to mind is the Paraglide ride. Paul 'loves Bobbajaanland too' Chapman -
Not sure the couple on the front row are ACE'R'S. But the lady's face is a picture. Is she thinking 'God - do I have to go through that again' or ' Who are those crazy people' ? Anyone else notice, her hands are still firmly glued onto the hand rail? Paul 'I want a roll back on TTD - next week!' Chapman

Good video - I would of liked it more if the music was played through the whole clip, rather than the 'commentary' on the POV part However I did notice that the 3 row on each train is horizontal rather than vertical like the front 2 rows when held of the first drop brake. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing :o Paul 'At least its a longer ride than Oblivion' Chapman -

Like Nick (cllins) has mentioned we were also at Liseberg on 14th May. I can see why Balder is high up on some coaster enthusiasts favourite coaster list. If you prefer high airtime – very smooth wooden coasters get a ride on Balder. It produces some really awesome air time through out it’s entire course. It’s also very smooth – hardly any G’s ( that I could notice anyway). Like Nick I felt it ‘lacked something’ that a wooden coaster should have. I thought the same of Colossos at Heide Park too. We waited no longer than 25 mins for Balder Kanonen is better than RITA, that was not a suprise for me to be honest. We only managed to get 1 go on it also, we were in the queue line when it broke down . The launch is fairly powerful - but the train felt to me lost some speed almost straight away. When at the top of the top hat - the train almost stopped. A large increase in speed on the drop from the top hat in the vertical loop. Some small G is encounterd in the downward & upward spirals with a bit of airtime in between. Then into the Zero G roll and into the brakes - A good ride - bit of a poor launch compared to RITA but overall a better ride. Anway on to some pictures Balder's first drop Balder Kanonen Kanonen Lisebergbanan Cirkusexpressen Tornado - a kind of sit down enterprise? Höjdskräcken More pictures of Liseberg & larger versions of the above pictures are on my 'flickr' photo pages -

Indeed some good photos there - but where's the pictures of Dragon Flyer ? The most silliest "WTF" coaster I've been on & I think it's the best coaster there. The Vekoma ride "Gaunlet" is Okay - makes a worrying loud whirring noise as the arms go spin around. If you want to see just how rough the Pinfari single loop coaster is - just look at Nick's (cllins) Bump & Bruises clip posted this week in the TPR video contest Nice to see some pictures of Antelope too -
Quick Liseberg question
nemesis-storm replied to robbeal's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Gothenburg has 2 airports - 'City' being the nearest to the err city Only Ryan Air fly to/from there - no other commerical airline does. Regards to walking, most Swedish folk we met, spoke English very well. If you head towards Ullevi Stadium (hope thats spelt right) in the distance you should see the tower for the observation tower. -
Quick Liseberg question

Right - now back from visiting Liseberg. If you are flying with Ryan Air – they fly to Gothenburg CITY airport There is a bus from the Airport to the main bus/train station in Gothenburg. It leaves the airport around 40 Mins after your plane has arrived. The cost is 50 SEK (around £4) The bus journey takes 30 Mins, it only stops at 1 place before reaching the station. Regarding trams to the park there are trams that go to the park (as we saw them). You will have to look into that yourself, there is info on the net. As we walked to the park, after we dropped our bags off at our hotel. I would say it’s a 20 – 30 min walk from the station to the park. Hope that helps a bit. Hope you enjoy the park as much as we did -

As I'm going to Liseberg this weekend I take it your flying with Ryan Air? Get the bus (look on the airports website) to the main train station in Gothenburg. It's around £4 each way Then get a tram to the park , the park is on tram route 5 - you will need to change however -

^ Some really awesome pictures you have there, especially the ones taken at night. I don’t doubt how good MaXair is – I've had 2 go’s on a similar ride at Bobbejaanland in Belguim & loved every second of it. Cedar Point are on to a hit there -

All the new entries are awesome - they all have something unique in them that stand out for me. Hard to choose a favorite from them - but if had too - I'd have to go for Andrew's Winconsin Dells clip. I can't see why Texas sucks , that Superman B&M floorless look fantastic  Paul " Who else grimaced at the kick in the groin shot' Chapman ^ Still mega funny tho
