TPR and Theme Park Artwork

^Thank you. She adopted from China. She wanted an infant, but fell in love with the profile and picture of her daughter, Oakley (weird name, I know)...who was almost three by the time they got her. She has a blog about the whole process which is pretty detailed and interesting....it's amazing to see the pictures of Oakley when she was in the orphanage and then compare them to the pictures of her now. The transformation is incredible. http://journey2oakley.blogspot.com/ supertrooper -
The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread

That's probably not even possible. The g-forces would be totally different between the bottom and top train. To make it bearable it'd need to be a real tame layout. It is possible! I did it in RCT years ago and the peeps loved it...so I know it would work. -

Wow...I haven't heard Papau New Guinea in years. Nice video by the way. -
I hope that was a joke. I'd be willing to bet that most gay guys have had a "girlfriend" at some point. I had one at 14 too...even though I knew that I really wanted a boyfriend instead. I know many, many gays and lesbians that have been married and have children as well...so simply having a partner of the opposite sex at any given time doesn't make you straight. You may very well be 100% straight, but not because of your girlfriend. I could start dating a girl tomorrow...I'd still be gay.

TPR and Theme Park Artwork

Thanks. It is time consuming, but pretty easy if you are patient and organized. It just requires a good photograph to work from as a template and then many, many layers for the details...this drawing used 32 layers. It is basically alot of shapes on top of one another with different transparencies and blurs applied to them. I did another drawing of one of my other neices before using gradient meshes, but I prefer the look of this method. -

We've been slow at work because of the holiday, so I had some time to play around in Illustrator. Here is a drawing I did of my sister and her newly adopted daughter. -
What is your favorite TV-series?

Weeds....now that Six Feet Under is gone. -
I received my video the day after Thanksgiving. I saw the mailman coming, and figured I would get it that day, but when I checked the box after he left...it wasn't in there. 2 minutes later, the mailman came back with it...I know he wanted to steal it but had second thoughts. Anyway, I really enjoyed both videos. I had previously purchased a similar "raw" coaster video, but there was no off-ride footage of the coasters on that video, and if you've never been on the ride, then it's kind of hard to follow the layout and imagine the experience. Every coaster in these videos had great off-ride footage. My Wooden disc won't play in one of my DVD players, but that's not a big deal. Well worth the money. Woohoo!

I'm a graphic designer. Right now I am doing pretty boring and not very challenging stuff...creating graphics for promotional items. But I had an interview with a pretty successful agency the other day (their clients are Sony, IKEA, Yoplait, etc.). Hopefully, I will be doing some more interesting work soon. My avatar was drawn by me in a graphic design class several years ago. We had to develop a personal logo that demonstrated part of our personality....so mine naturally was a roller coaster. It is actually based on an photo of the last part of the Texas Giant (looking backwards right before the brakes and station). After we developed a logo, we were told that we now had to incorporate our first or last initial into the drawing. Mine was already kind of shaped like a "P", so adding a circle in the middle was my solution. supertrooper

Largest Re-located Coaster??
supertrooper replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I rode it at Oktoberfest a few years ago, and it wasn't good. It is very rough with very tight turns...I could barely tell what was going on most of the time and just knew it was about to fall apart at any minute. Olympia Looping on the other hand is one of my favorite coasters...it was amazing. And some indoor spinning coaster called Starworld was pretty cool too. -
Just bought some turkey jerky and a bottled water from the office building's convenience store. They mark everything up but I needed something to eat...$3.58.

Anybody else notice something weird about this comment? Am I missing an inside joke or something? -
I wonder if when he was posting his new enlightened plan, he really thought that we would all pat him on the back and tell him "Good Job, buddy...you've really thought this through". Just go to school and take some general studies first. You'll eventually figure out what you really want to do as a career, then you can choose your major. There's no harm in being "undecided"...it took me several years to finally recognize my calling. Right now you seem to have a very immature view of the world....just slow down and hold a job for a year.

^Such as the topic: "Magic Mountain's 2008 announcement later in the future?" I cringe every time I read that. and... "Its not really ironic, its more like a similie, just without the like as thing. There similar in a sorts...though there is no reason to fuse over this whole thing. Unless its someone who uses txt tlk then I'd be freaking fusing over the problem." What? Perhaps you shouldn't have chimed in on a discussion about English and grammar.

The first drop of Vortex at Kings Island always gives me that "whoa" feeling. It's the only part of the ride I really enjoy. -
Create a Name/Theme
supertrooper replied to imbordisux's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I named a dueling coaster Riki Tiki Tavi once in RCT. Remember that book? One side was the Mongoose, and the other was the Cobra. I always liked that name. -
