  1. I'm glad I'm not the only one who though that. It would make more sense actually...I'm sick of the trashy couple making out in line in front of me.
  2. I think it looks like an excellent ride. The only thing that bothered me about the video though, is when you zoomed in on Cameron's stomach and said "Something for the ladies". Shouldn't you have said "Something for the ladies and 20% of male TPR viewers" ?
  3. ^ I completely agree. The first time I rode SOB was with my 13 year old nephew, who is not a coaster enthusiast, and even he commented that "It just kind of does the same thing over and over." He was so right. I wish they would just tear it down.
  4. I have zero. Never bought one, never will. Kind of goes with my "I'll never buy or wear a fanny-pack" motto.
  5. I'm gay, and I don't rollerskate, but I thought the joke was funny. Lighten up.
  6. There's more than coffee in the coffee shops in Amsterdam though...I think that's what he was getting at. Also, if you rent bikes (which I recommend), be careful of the tram tracks....my boyfriend got his tires stuck in the tracks several times...but he's a bit uncoordinated though. I haven't been to Madrid, but I have been to Barcelona, and I can attest to the fact that everything shuts down for a few hours in the afternoon. Get your rest, don't expect to go to dinner until around 10:00, have some tapas and lots of sangria, and then go from there.
  7. Make sure you are in Amsterdam on a Thursday - Sunday. I was there on a Mon, Tues, and Wed, and there was absolutely nothing going on...all of the parties start on Thursdays, apparently. I still enjoyed the city though.
  8. ... She must be an American.
  9. I'm betting on "Mammoth". It's kind of Behemoth-ish, but different.
  10. Here are my dogs: And here is a video of Trooper being weird. We call him our Canine Sensor, because he get pissed off and barks whenever we curse. and Trooper Parker
  11. It's pretty much required.
  12. The local morning radio show host was just describing the new Tony Hawk coaster at SFOT. He said that it's not for the weak, because it goes 80 mph. All of the co-hosts gasped. The host is pretty much the king of misinformation. Very annoying. Update: I just saw this on a local news channels website "It spins based on the distribution of the weight in the car, so every time you ride it it's a little bit different," says Steve Martindale, the president of Six Flags Over Texas. Martindale says the new ride is unlike anything at the park. "It's 250-feet-tall like the Titan and run 80 miles and hour," he says. "It's a more compact, tighter coaster with a lot real tight turns and drops." I guess that's where he got his info. The guy was misquoted...he actually said "It's NOT 250-feet-tall....". The media sucks.
  13. When I saw the topic title I thought to myself "How can you get 20 credits at SFGA?" I've never counted the amount of times I've ridden coasters. I keep track of the ones I've ridden, but counting the amount of times ridden seems pointless to me...can it really be considered a "credit"?
  14. Are you being sarcastic? I can't tell. Kings Island has tons of space. "The park owns close to 775 acres (3.2 km²) of land, but only 364 acres (1.5 km²) are currently developed"
  15. I watch that show occasionally, and it always drives me crazy when the real estate agent is about to inform the home owners of the house's worth. The dramatic pause and shots of the "worried" owners, and then back to the agent, and then to the host, and back to the owners looking at one another (with expressions not unlike that of yours)....it's all very irritating. They do the same thing on "Secrets that Sell" with the obnoxious mother/daughter duo telling people that they need to get rid of all of their junk before they can sell their house. These type of shows drive me crazy, yet I constantly watch HGTV, TLC, and DIY for some reason.
  16. What did one tampon say to the other tampon? Nothing. They were both stuck up bitches.
  17. I paid $3.38 a gallon yesterday...for the cheap stuff.
  18. I think it's been established that the loop wasn't removed because it was rough. The loop was actually the only smooth part of the ride. I'd say go to KI...just because you've never been. I grew up going to KI every year, and I had fun each time I went. I do like Cedar Point more, but still....KI isn't bad.
  19. How much does it cost to join the "my boyfriend doesn't like to ride" club? I need a membership. I want badly to go on a TPR trip, but my boyfriend would probably want to go and complain the entire time, and make fun of the "coaster nerds". Maybe I can eventually ditch him for a while and go on my own. Nice Trip Report by the way.
  20. Good for you. You're quite the sex-bomb now. Hubba hubba.
  21. Any kiddie coasters. Flashback at SFOT and Boomerang at SFFT (I've ridden one boomerang...that's enough) Poltergeist at SFFT (I'd been on Flight of Fear and figured it was pretty much the same thing, and I didn't feel like waiting). Woodstock Express at Cedar Point...don't know why...I was right there, with a kid and everything. Mulholland Madness at DCA...wild mouses are pretty much all the same to me. BTMRR at Disneyland....just never got around to it. I think that's it. super - definitely not a credit whore - trooper
  22. Tickets out of or into Dayton will generally be $100.00 less than Cincinnati. Cincy is always one of the most expensive airports to fly into or out of for some reason. But, my advice would be to just fly in and out of Louisville and go to SFKK on your last day since it is directly across from the airport and really requires no more than a half day. There are alot of hotels right at the entrance of SFKK and the fairgrounds too, which would be really convenient...I think The Executive Inn is okay. http://www.executiveinnhotel.com/
  23. Reading others experiences remind me of things that have happened to me that I had almost completely forgotten about. I was eating at a hotel restaurant in Allentown PA with my sister and a couple of her friends when I was about 15 (many, many years ago) I got my salad, ate half of it and then noticed a piece of lettuce moving. There was a live bug in the salad. My sister's friend called the waitress over and said that there was a roach or something in the salad. The waitress looked at it and said nonchalantly "Oh...it's a cricket". My sister's friend answered "Well, it wasn't ordered". I didn't have to pay for that meal. A couple of years ago, I went to the drive-thru at McDonalds and got the 2 cheeseburger meal. When I unwrapped the burgers, there was no meat on either one...just cheese. How hard is a job at McDonalds that you can overlook the meat? I took them back inside to show the girl at the counter. She looked at them and laughed and said "He did it again". They gave me 4 cheeseburgers to replace them...2 of which I threw away (I can't eat 4 burgers).
  24. I had a similar experience at the TGIF just outside of Cedar Point. We were told the wait was 20 minutes....which it was, but then we waited another 30 minutes before we ever saw a server or got water, and another hour and a half before any of our food came, plus my food (just a friggin' hamburger and fries) came after everyone else at my table was finished eating. We, of course, complained to the manager (I think every table was complaining). He repeated several times: "You have to understand, this is the largest Friday's in the country". WTF does that matter if you don't have the staff to run it? I'm not impressed by the square footage of the place. They should have told us it was going to be at least a two hour wait, so we could have gone somewhere else. We only paid for half of our bill, but it still wasn't worth the headache. supertrooper
  25. Not bad. Figure drawings are my favorite and probably what I am best at, so I will offer a little feedback. Pay attention to proportions. The length of the arms on your self portrait/fairy drawing is too short. When holding your arms straight down, the elbows should be just above the waist and the fingertips should reach mid thigh. Proportions is what makes a drawing look realistic. If you are going for a more fantasy look (which I guess you are, since it is "part fairy") than the exagerrated proportions would work...but I think longer than normal arms would actually be better for that. Just some constructive criticism.
