  1. Ahhhh. La Cachot. A personal favorite of mine. The cars were moved to Bushkill's Pretzel Ride and were all but destroyed in last year's flooding. Other notable dark rides from Kennywood's past Ghost Ship Laff in the Dark Tornado Daffy Dilla Tut's Tomb Hilarity Hall 13 Spook Street Daffy Club Enchanted Forest
  2. 1. Hulk: Zero-G 2. Volcano: Heartline Rolls 3. Storm Runner: 1.5 Barrel/Dive
  3. I too remember Eddie Rabbit, so you can't neccessarily say it is an old man's thing (I refuse to admit I am an old man). I remember at five, I had an album called "Urban Chipmunk", and I played the donky doo out of that record. Song List (as sung by the Chipmunks): 1. Gambler 2. I Love a Rainy Night 3. Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to Be Cowboys 4. Chipmunks 5. Luckenbach, Texas (Back to the Basics of Love) 6. Lunchbox 7. On the Road Again 8. Coward of the County 9. Another Somebody Done Somebody Wron 10. Made for Each Other 11. Thank God I'm a Country Boy
  4. ^ I think that WDW was like $7.50 the first time I visited. Back in them days were you had to wear a pass and such.
  5. US: Bad Blood - Neil Sedaka That makes me feel old. Must have been one of his later hits.
  6. Follow-up 4-12-05 - show Anthony Federov I am not a big fan but this was one of his "better" performances. He picks the oddest songs to do ("Everytime you go away"). Anwar Robinson This guy has got great pitch, and also picks weird songs. His "Never felt this way again" came off really good, and he should be safe this week. Bo Bice Freebird! Come on. You are definately in the bottom 3 this week, but I am guessing that you will make it through this week. Carrie Underwood Interesting Choice ("Love is a Battlefield"). Carrie almost looked a little uncomfortable this week and her performance had some rare pitch problems. She will still be safe, because she has tons of fans. Constantine Maroulis Constantine did "Bohemian Rhapsody" this week and pulled it off pretty well. He even sang one note natural that even Freddie Mercury faked. He is most likely safe this week. Nadia Turner Don't even remember what song she sang. That is how forgettable the performance was. Another bottom 3 member this week. Scott Savol Did "She's Gone" by Hall and Oates with them sitting in the audience. Took a lot of balls. The verses sounded bad but the choruses were excellent. Right on the fringe of the bottom 3 this week. Vonzell Solomon Picked a good song for her voice ("Let's here it for the boy"). Had a couple small pitch problems, but I am guessing she is safe this week. My Bottom 3 Nadia Bo Scott My "Voted Off" Pick Nadia Turner
  7. Hit me up on ICQ some night and I will walk you through it. Usually 10pm-1am EST.
  8. Marathoning a coaster really does nothing for me. When I visit a park, I am lucky if I ride the same coaster more than a couple times.
  9. ^ But I have seen kids coming off of Dinosaur that looked like they needed therapy.
  10. I have one of those a couple miles from where I work. When I lived in Florida I could only think of two things; Primanti Sammiches and Square Crunchy Pizza sold in individiual slices. For those that don't know .... Primanti Sammich
  11. I can confirm that the NJTransit runs there. I remember seeing it on the board the last time I was in NYC. You should be able to catch it right from the Port Authority in the Theater District.
  12. I am so happy when parks build new dark rides. Even old rides that are refurbished are often a step in the right direction. A park just isn't a park without a dark ride. Everyone talks about Cedar Point constantly and they don't have a single one. But they used to have two until around 1983. Earthquake Pirate Ride
  13. I was fooled also. Actually, it seemed like such a non-news item, that I never bothered clicking on it till now. When you are the first reply to your own topic it only looks like a really desperate ploy to bump the topic. It is kind of like putting your topic on life-support other than letting it die a respectable death. But ... since this is in the "Random" category, I guess it really doesn't matter.
  14. Nor Kennywood, Idlewild, Waldameer, Lakemont, and may other regional traditional parks // Wondering where all this pay parking thing started
  15. ^ It is open much more than that, just in a different capacity. More like a "Rent-A-Park" How many people do we have close enough to warrant some EPT (Exclusive Park Time). I will bring the hot dogs.
  16. If you plan for a non-peak time in Orlando it can be pretty inexpensive. Especially if you plan on doing it alone. Also, when I lived in Florida I found the BGW/PKD trip to be a pretty inexpensive one. There are many factors that will dictate what your costs will be for the trip. If you are under 25, you will most likely have to pay a surcharge when you rent a car (if you even need to). You can do Anaheim and Orlando without renting a car but be prepared for a small inconvenience when using the shuttles.
  17. ^ Very cool. Used to be a Union Stagehand and did a decent bit of setups. Who are some of your clients.
  18. On my way to work (day after my 28th birthday) Pennsylvania 79 in a 55 on Route 22 $175 // At least I didn't get any points
  19. Tell them they are fat and watch as they starve themselves down to 600 pixels wide. But seriously, try downloading Picasa 2. It is a handy little image management tool that can do such tasks and it's FREE! http://www.picasa.com/
  20. UH, they forgot the other Orlando park. IOA! // These top ten park lists always suck
  21. Very cool of you to open your house to the nutty coaster loving public. Although I will not be able to attend (unless a contract falls in my lap which provides me with a little extra disposable cash), I wish you the best of luck with your first event.
  22. Does it kill the little floating DHTML "1,000,000 Visitor" ads? // I hate those damn things
  23. That is a goodie. If you ride it a bunch of times in a row, that is the one place that will bust you up though.
