  1. The ride looks like it will be a lot of fun. Something tells me that with the tallest water ride in the world, if you ran with the typical huge splash it would be a rather uncomfortable ride as people would probably all slam their heads onto the seat in front of them at splashdown. The lift system looks amazing and possibly the scariest part of the ride.
  2. Its still around its just a different casino now. I think its Bill's Gambling Hall & Saloon. Not sure how many changes have been made but Drai's is still there and they have reasonably priced rooms with flat screen tvs.
  3. If you are still in Vegas / go again, go to Bouchon (in the Venetian). Its owned by the nation's best chef and while its all simple food its damn delicious. I'd recommend the roasted chicken, which was by far one of the best things I've eaten. Mesa Grill is amazing as well, but I'd give the edge to Bouchon. Also one of the pictures of the Venetian is actually in the Palazzo, which is also a very nice place to stay. Glad you survived or decided not to brave Manhattan Express so you could bring us this update!
  4. Man, you have some great luck with winning the lottery for broadway shows! Maybe you should try the real lottery sometime.
  5. That salad look f'in amazing. Transatlantic cruises seem like they could be a ton of fun. You still manage to have fun on the ship after 9 days onboard? Amazing.
  6. Tickets to the Chelsea vs. Club America game in Dallas in July. $60 Don't really like Chelsea and haven't heard of Club America, but its world class soccer and the seats are pretty decent. Also a hell of a lot cheaper than seeing a team of Chelsea's caliber in just about every other stadium in England.
  7. I'm hungry now damnit. Looks like a lot of really good food. Seems like most of the best food is in little hole in the wall places like the first sushi place you showed. Can't wait to see more!
  8. Wood: Shivering Timbers The Voyage Steel: S:ROS at SFNE (I guess its Bizarro now) Maverick (portions of it at least)
  9. Great TR! Looks like a bit of editing went into the pictures and the scenery is just amazing. I hope to take a cruise to Alaska someday, are there are excursions I shouldn't miss out on? Congrats on the marriage!
  10. Ria's bluebird is great! I ate there twice last year when my girlfriend and I went to Atlanta for spring break. Good TR!
  11. The park is packed already? I would think it would still be early for crowds that large, granted we have better weather than most places too. I need to make it to Schlitterbahn, Kemah Boardwalk and SFOT before I graduate. Knocked out SFFT in under three hours this fall except the kiddie credit was under construction for Wiggles World.
  12. The Producers - Its just amazing Spamalot - Pretty hilarious, not as good as the Producers though Avenue Q - Hilarious and a great take on real life. Interesting concept. Phantom - Saw it in Vegas, so I know its not the whole show, but I dare you to find higher production quality anywhere else. Le Miserables - Just an amazing story & music is great Lion King - costumes. wow.
  13. I have no idea how to properly link to a profile, but here goes nothing. www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=3104028&ref=profile Just tell me that you're from TPR. I have lots (by my standards) of park pics that I have yet to upload onto this site, so feel free to browse through those.
  14. Hilarious. If this actually gets anywhere I will be somewhat afraid, but I like what they are trying to do.
  15. ^ That was my main concern with this ride. I've heard that Dodonpa felt like being punched in the chest, and with S&S going even faster, I'm glad they've actually backed off the acceleration a bit. This is no different to me than all the other Intamin Rocket record holders, and may in fact be better save for the view from the top. I also like the thought that its more of a simulation of F1 in that you have some insane acceleration on the straightaway and then hard on the brakes before the hairpin. In that respect, the layout is an excellent idea. Definitely an improvement over an oval since I don't think there are any in the F1 circuit, and they're boring anyway. Sure S&S could do more, but for what the client is looking for, I think it works pretty well. I would however much rather have a ride around the circuit in a decent car than ride this coaster.
  16. To me this looks like a flyer that can rotate as it goes along the track. I think Arrow had a better concept for the 4D, but this could be fun. Doesn't seem like it would be as intense, though spinning through a zero g roll or a pretzel loop would probably be pretty interesting.
  17. Hopefully they can fit the Ozark Wildcat in somewhere at SDC, though it would probably be hard with all the terrain from what I remember. I wish it had been open when I went to Branson, looked like a fun park, or at least more fun than the many go-kart tracks there.
  18. Here's a bunch taken from Heroe's Wiki Name ↓ Link ↓ Password ↓ Richard Drucker A012 RDghxiia Hana Gitelman C001 HGghx11a Matt Parkman C002 MPggtn75x Ted Sprague C003 TSntz14b Gabriel Gray C004 GGeh81zu Connie Logan C008 CLql99dt Echo DeMille C009 EDgch49la Julien Dumont C011 JDsiy88p Jesse Murphy C012 JMmn142w The German C014 TGmgx14r Bianca Karina C015 BKoir72mn Donna Dunlap C017 DDrgi77b Brendan Lewis C020 BLjtd19f Leonard Cushing C022 LCtsn45p Matt Neuenberg C025 MNjdq12e Stephen Canfield N/A SCwem43ib
  19. Though no one here seems to be too fanatical about the show, if you're up for a notpron style challenge, go to www.primatechpaper.com. Doesn't look like much but that helix logo is embedded in the Primatech Paper logo on the about page and that leads to a whole slew of files about the characters on the show (and plenty we haven't seen yet). NBC has gone all out with this. Heck, Nathan Petrelli has a campaign website and Linderman's Hotel, the Corinthian has a website as well.
  20. I would without a doubt travel and ride the ride, even if whoever built it followed the Traver design to the t. I've been on Psyclone, SOB and Manhattan Express, so I can handle the pain. It has to be one of the most infamous rides ever built, and I'm sure any enthusiast would be glad to ride.
  21. Do they not have you walking for obscenely long distances at your Relay for Life or are these the only pictures you took? At Washington University in St. Louis we did Relay in early May and we'd have to have one member from the team walking around the track at all times and then there were some team tents. Maybe not as many of us sat down too much since it was usually below freezing and walking was the only way to stay warm. I do like your version a little more however since its not a test of human endurance, and looks almost as fun!
  22. Most definitely the Beatles. Had McCartney and Lennon been able to stand each other they could have changed a lot of things about music today. I have no doubt that their uncanny ability to have nearly every song become a classic would have continued. Even though they stopped playing live shows long before they broke up, they would be my top choice. Nirvana still being around would have been interesting too seeing how much they impacted music in the past 20 years. GNR could be interesting but Axl seems to be the major factor in their breaking up, and also one of the most vital components of their sound. Unfortunately I don't think he's about to change so thats not going to happen.
