  1. ^I'll PM you the ending so I don't spoil it for anyone else going to Haunt.
  2. I just thought, with all the Nick stuff being replaced to make way for Snoopy, what will they put in the Action FX Theater? Right now it's playing the Spongebob 3D film, so they'll have to replace that too. Any speculations as to what they will put in its place?
  3. ^Delirium doesn't have any lights (other than the big bright white ones), but Firefall still has its lights and fire (if it's working).
  4. Last night I got a call from my school's automated phone system. Yesterday during the middle of the day, a power line was downed by high winds and heavy rain, causing a power outage at the entire school. So today, they haven't been able to restore power, so they cancelled all classes. So I'm here, and have nothing to do. Whoo! Thank you random torrential downpour in the Bay Area!
  5. ^^Working there, I get a lot of insight into crowds. Generally, beginning of season is pretty dead March through April. During May the crowds pick up a bit, with it being SUPER crowded on Christian rock concert day. Weekdays during the summer are never too bad, the only long lines being Psycho Mouse, Logger's Run, and the water slides. Saturdays in July and August are the most crowded, with the popular coasters having wait times of up to an hour or more. September and October are DEAD, but Halloween Haunt gets pretty crowded towards Halloween. Most of the time, the park is not crowded. Even on Sundays in the summer, the longest wait times are about 30 minutes.
  6. I rode Invertigo at CGA in heavy rain last year. Of course, the rain fried the ride's circuits and it closed for two days. I didn't like riding with all the rain. The water drops actually hurt since they hit at 50 mph.
  7. ^Firefall breaks down practically every day. Since it was moved from GL, I'm guessing that caused a lot of problems. I still haven't seen a day where the ride doesn't break down.
  8. I wasn't able to see any shows, but I'm heading back, so hopefully I'll see them Friday. Toy Factory was really cool! I recommend heading out to Haunt to check it out. The ending is boss...
  9. ^OSHA is probably still inspecting Invertigo. They said it was going to be a few months. My guess is that they're still trying to figure out what caused the malfunction. Oh well, better to have them find out what the problem is than for it to happen again. Yeah, it still sucks about the woodie not happening. Those stupid office buildings are ruining any type of expansion plans CGA might have!
  10. I've noticed that B&M Standups are pretty bad crotch crushers. The bicycle style seats are bad on the junk. Though I NEED to ride a standup other than CGA's Vortex. I usually have no problems on the Intamin Looping Ships, As long as you hold the restraint away from you. The worst ride for the crotch for me is any Top Spin. Firefall at CGA is really painful, and since it's automatic restraints, there's no way to brace yourself.
  11. ^Ugh, I'm still sad about CS closing down. I visited that site ever since I bought NL in '05, and now that I have a new computer, I lost a lot of quality coasters. Some cornerstone rides were there.
  12. I had this problem too, back when I had Windows XP. I think I can help. Whenever I opened the Track Packager, it said the same error message. I was able to avert it manually. When you try to open up the Packager and you see that error message, there will be a button to browse to find the folder you want. I believe the directory I used was C:/ProgramFiles/NoLimitsCoasters1.7, then you select No Limits Simulator, and hopefully the Track Packager should open up. I had to do this EVERY time I wanted to open a new Package, but I got used to it. I hope it works.
  13. I'm pretty sure what happened warrants an investigation. If they couldn't move the train or chain at all, it must have been a pretty bad breakdown. I was there on Saturday, and the train was had been taken off the tracks. Hopefully, it can reopen by next year.
  14. It's lookin cool so far. However, the corkscrew on Vortex goes to the left in real life, not the right. Other than that, it's spot on.
  15. Cool, I was there too! (as a guest). But I didn't see Robb or Elissa, too bad. EDIT: post 440! If you're a music nerd, you'll know why it's funny.
  16. Wow, that's an insane ride cycle. I think I'd lose my lunch on that one, and I can take almost anything.
  17. ^Go in October for Haunt! It's sure to be lot's of fun.
  18. 11/20. I always suck at these quizzes
  19. Skycoasters are absolutely nerve racking and terrifying, the first time. At CGA, I tried theirs a few years ago by myself, and going up was one of the freakiest feelings ever. I honestly thought that was the end. Once I pulled the cord and the fall started, I screamed like a girl. Nothing like falling 180 feet in that little flight suit screaming at the top of my lungs. Afterwards, I wanted to ride again (but didn't want to fork over another $15). Nowadays, if a park has a Skycoaster, I try to get my friends on it. The reactions of a first timer are priceless. If your scared of heights, don't even try it out, it will likely scare the sh!t out of you. But if you think you can handle the freefall, go for it. It will still scare the sh!t out of you, but the experience will leave you breathless and wanting more.
  20. I'm usually lenient with roughness on coasters. I actually enjoyed Canyon Blaster at Adventuredome, even though it's got Arrow headbanging. That being said, Roller Coaster at NYNY (I still call it Manhattan Express) is the most terrible coaster I've ever ridden. I can't believe I forked over $14 to be jackhammered for 3 minutes.
  21. I'd love to go! I'm only an hour from SFDK, but I don't have a ride. Maybe I'll convince my dad to come, even though he's not that crazy about coasters.
  22. Defenitely Skycoasters. Getting pulled up the tower for the first time was one of the scariest moments for me. I kept thinking the cable would snap and I would fall to my death. However, after riding I loved it, and now I'm addicted.
  23. Too bad parks can't go old fashioned again. Whatever happened to weight drop launches, such as the one on Greased Lightnin' at SFKK? I remember when CGA had their shuttle loop, this particular type of launch is simple enough to work and deliver a forceful ride.
