  1. ^Yup. Earlier he claimed that CGA might be the "worst park in history." And a couple of weeks ago I rode Survivor on my day off and the fire and water were functioning, and on Spongebob, they had the bubbles and music. I smell trolls, and they're not in the SFMM Sky Tower.
  2. As I've said before in the thread, I'm straight. At school, there is this one girl I like, but I don't know if I should tell her. We've been friends for a couple of months now, but I don't want to take it to the next level yet because if she says no, then our friendship will become nothing but awkward. Even if we do stay friends, I'll be fine with that. She is a really great friend. I guess I'm kinda taking the Sydney Carton route with this (except I'm not a drunk).
  3. Yeah, last night when I was walking out to the employee parking lot after work, I could clearly see the fire from Survivor flare up. Also, working at Berserker (which is right next to the Demon's tunnel), I can clearly hear the voice before the lift starts up. Besides, one of my supervisors told me that some to the special effects were on the fritz since it's still early in the season. Give things time and they will get better.
  4. Working at CGA, of course I work with the GP, and I hear a TON of strange sh*t. I heard at least one person ask if Invertigo goes upside down (which it does so 3 times in each direction for a total of 6 flips). I answered by saying, "No, we just painted the loops in. You stay right side up the whole time." In my mind I said, "Here's your sign." Many people ask me if they will get wet on White Water Falls. I think it's pretty easy to assume that you do since "water" is in the ride's name! Some people are just such es
  5. At the time, I am taking private lessons on the oboe, and hopefully in a couple of years, I can become really good.
  6. ^Seriously, people can be so pessimistic. I've never seen people bash the park this much. Besides, hopefully Firefall will be really good. Possibly even themed!
  7. By the way, on the website, it says that Firefall will have fire and water effects. Does that mean the people will be splashed like on Ripsaw at Alton towers?
  8. ^Thank you! I don't see how CGA could be the worst park in history though. It's just in a slump right now. I hope that Cedar Fair can help bring it out of that slump. I know it wont be the spectacular park it once was in the Marriott days, but it is not the worst in history.
  9. The worst park in history? I've never heard someone hate on CGA that bad.
  10. Yeah, I think without the OTSR's, the ride would be a lot more pleasant. IMO, the commercial REALLY glamourizes the ride.
  11. Seeing the last couple of posts, I think there should be a topic for official CGA discussion. This thread is for KGA29's Photo TR. Anyway, Great pics! Did you see me? I was working at Invertigo and Berserker almost the whole day.
  12. The last ten pages of this thread was...interesting. Anyways, back near Valentines Day, I was moaning and bitching because I didn't have a girlfriend. Now I have realized that it doesn't matter whether or not you're in a relationship with someone just yet. I'm only in 10th grade, and I have my whole life to think about stuff like that. Besides, I have more important things to deal with right now, like keeping my grades up so I can go to a good college. If I do find someone I truly love while in high school, then that's great. But if I have to wait a couple more years, then I won't be discouraged. I hope that when I meet the right girl, we can have a good, strong relationship. Besides, in my opinion, a relationship isn't based on sex. If it was, then society would probably crumble apart. -Sun "patiently waiting for Mrs. Right" Fire
  13. I guess now I'm going to prove that we can give outstanding service. As long as they didn't trim Flight Deck, I'm not too pissed anymore about the name change. I'm sure the ride is still as kickass as it always has been.
  14. Yeah, a lot of wierd stuff in the park today. I'm hoping the bugs will be fixed when I go in for work next weekend. Great Semi-TR. It was nice meeting you!
  15. As I type this, I am suffering from a severe nosebleed. I've gone through many tissues and it isn't stopping! EDIT: now I have nausea. I feel like I'm going to be sick.
  16. ^Agreed. I've only ridden two inverts (both at CGA), but I think Top Gun is very underrated because of where it's located. BTW, Robb and Elissa, you guys should visit CGA since I just got a job there. Perhaps I could meet you in person (of course I'd be working)!
  17. ^Yeah, the last time I went to SFDK, I got totally lost. CGA is a lot easier to get around.
  18. ^Yeah. Even though SCBB is an hour away from where I live, it's worth it because it's a great park! I like it because it's not owned by a huge company like Cedar Fair or Six Flags. SCBB is it's own park.
  19. Thanks Title Fairy. Now more people can know about my love for both Great Americas (even though I've never visited the Gurnee park).
  20. Cough *Miley Cyrus* cough.
  21. I haven't quite started yet, but I will in mid-March: I work at California's Great America. I am going to operate Invertigo, Berserker, and White Waterfalls.
  22. There's another twist in the amazing story of Hershey Hawaii. I can't wait to see how you pull this off. I'm still going to miss the old park. It's so sad that it's being torn down!
  23. Happy Birthday KidTums. May you and your coaster loving parents live a long happy life!
  24. Yay! Someone agrees with me! I've always thought the Booomerang was way too rough, but Invertigo is super intense. I love how much forces there are.
