That is an incredibly beautiful park.

Took the words right out of my mouth. What would you rather have; a bunch of track just sitting out in the open, winding around, or a bunch of track in and around a mountain? The mountain also makes it hard to predict where the track will go and opens up tunnel and scenery opportunities. If the Matterhorn was just a lot of track it probably wouldn't be half as good because you'd drop the tunnels, the crystals, the splashdown, the yeti, so on and so forth.

Although that might just be because it takes forEVER to load the stupid thing. Really, they should just rework it so it loads like the Enterprise and then lifts up. And make the cars a bit bigger. It's a real moneymaker of a ride, and it's a lot of fun. There's nothing like going straight down and then spinning the wheel.

Desperado isn't that bad (I was exaggerating its faults), and it does look pretty cool when you're driving down the hill towards it. But last time I was there (last March) it had no airtime besides the first drop. Mostly because it was braked to death (and then you crawwlllll towards the helix, leaning 45 degrees to the right). But for some reason it just had no airtime, not even on the airtime hills (up...down...up...down...up...)

Something about Silverwood just makes me happy. Probably just the fact that everything's going so well for them and they're still a "pure" amusement park, sort of lost in a time warp. I do agree, they need to expand their capacity before taking any huge leaps ahead. Those walkways can be bottlenecks when people are standing around watching the drop tower. They really should introduce a couple "softer" flats to Coaster Alley. Wave Swinger, Sea Dragon, Troika, Condor, Falling Star, Scrambler, Polyp, Magic, tea cups, Disk'o, any of those would do well.

One of my favourite things about Robb and Elissa's raw videos is what they say during the ride. For example, in the raw video of a wild mouse going down a drop into a sharp turn you might hear Robb go "Wheeee! OOF." In the finished video, that might be replaced with Aerosmith going ARRRRR! It's not, of course, but it could be. Which is why I wish Robb and Elissa would make their own Voyage video.

Their argument is that just because it might be and looks like an Aquatrax doesn't mean it will be. I don't know why some people are just so adamant about it, though. At this point it could be an Aquatrax or it could be anything else. The only way to find out is to wait.

14 hours straight to get to Turner, Oregon. Technically it was for a wedding in a little town just south, but for "that's insane" purposes I'll say it was to get three credits. Interesting note: Thrill-ville USA has a SCAD drop tower, which is probably the scariest ride ever. You hang there, waiting, and suddenly FWOOSH neeeeeerrrrrrrrrr flump. They should have more of these. They also need to use the seat thing on more rides, it's really neat and comfortable. The one they used was made out of plastic with lots of cushioning, and this metal thing that holds your legs and grip bars for your hands.

I'm think they could. I'm sure they could. I'm pretty sure...

MUAHAHAHA I got the Flashback credit when I was eight. It was pretty kickass, too. I wish they'd make another one of these, the space dives are a treat. Hopefully Freefall reopens.
