  1. The pole could be for many things, such as flagging proxies/photoeyes, releasing harnesses in the back of the train, or bypassing proxies within the seats themselves. The numbers could mean anything. As far the horn goes it could possibly be the track area horn whenever something is resetting such as lift, ride, ESR (Emergency Stop Reset ) . Ride operators know that a ride has gone down due to errors popping up and a possible small alarm behind panel. In the future though , please use proper grammar along with a more descriptive title that accurately says what the main point of the thread is. Thanks. Thread Closed. -Mike
  2. Hey guys, I'm glad you solved that dispute on your own. It actually DOES show maturity here on the TPR boards among our younger memebers. But please remember to be civil. This is obviously his project and is sharing his production on his own time. Bottom line, if you don't have something nice to say just don't say it. Thanks, and good luck on the model. -Mike
  3. Rides make noise, doesn't mean its good or bad. Are you sure that the sound is coming from the actual wheels on the train or the drive tires? I'm seriously just asking. Does it always make that sound or can you just notice is now that the audio show effects are off? I've never been on Space Mountain where I thought something wasn't being maintained properly. -Mike
  4. Awesome TR. The Spaceship Earth ending cartoon thing reminds me of the "Elfyourself" and/or the introduction credits of Rat Race. -Mike
  5. Not sure where your going here.... but http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17070&highlight=idea -Mike
  6. ^ Remember no physical work has been done involving any sort of tunnels yet. -Mike
  7. Hey, My advice would be to drive up when you can. Probably Saturday would be best, get there at least one hour before the park closes. On Saturday it'll be 8PM and Sunday it'll be 7PM. Its very rare that the park actually closes for rain, they try to stay open as much as possible and at worse they'll close early. Usually around 2 hours prior to park closing. I just checked the weather and as far as Sunday it seems as if it'll clear up at around 2:00 - 3:00 PM. Which means that it'll most likely stay open. I couldn't tell by your post on if you wanted to get on a lot or not, so keep in mind that a lot closes in the rain. Its no Cedar Point or Knotts, but in heavy rain/wind the park has no choice but to close most of the major rides. If for some reason we get hit by another storm and you ponder if the park will even open just check the front page http://www.sixflags.com/magicMountain/index.aspx , if its closed it'll be posted on that page. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask. -Mike
  8. You know, I come into this thread about once a year. Every time I'm saddened that it isn't about pie. Lame. -Mike
  9. I'm sorry but this simply isn't topic worthy. Please make sure you read the TOS found here : http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=137 In the future please post such 'findings' here in these random topics http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=437&start=8390 http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17589&highlight=picture If you think something is a little too random to warrant its own topic then please use the search function found here http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/search.php Thank you for your understanding. -Mike Thread Closed.
  10. Very nice Photo trip report! There were 'sooo' many awesome pictures in that TR. Nice to see the X station, I was up there a few weeks ago and its already changed a lot. Thanks for the comments! Its all about the park moving forward and I'll continue to do my best. It was really great to finally meet you, next time you come out we'll have to do another epic TR, do I sense an action figure in the next one? Who knows. -Mike
  11. Hey , I see that your new at posting but PLEASE read the Terms of Service located here http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=137 / Its very important that we keep up the high quality of the boards, and a primary way of doing this is requiring that users maintain proper grammar and spelling. 12. Hey! I think you guys would enjoy Knotts, there's a lot to do there for you guys. They have a good selection of rides , including coasters, family attractions, and flats. Don't be too turned off by recent reviews of the park, sure its operations are far from perfect but a lot of it comes from the compairson between how it use to be and how it is now. But for someone who's never been there I say without a doubt try to hit it. If you have any more questions feel free to ask. Hope you guys enjoy your trip! -Mike
  13. ^ David “Darkbeer” Michael reported that small children who sometimes duck under the front of the hollow log have been injured. The shorter you are the easier it is to duck under. -Mike
  14. The “temporary height restriction” for the front seat of Splash Mountain has been raised from 40 inches to 60 inches - From the link. Did you actually read the story? All it says is that they're trying it out, and its only for the very front seat. -Mike

  16. Very interesting video. Its sad that even on those slow fairly straight pieces of track the set up camera still shook rather harshly. Thanks for sharing! -Mike
  17. Those are some really cool shots! Thanks for sharing. Really enjoy the shot from above that shows Alice and Skull Rock. Its hard to come by pictures that show them all together and gives you a good idea on where they use to be. -Mike
  18. I'm beginning to think that there is no 4th song on X, its whatever we wish for it to be is what it is. See, when I played it all I got was "Stay Entertained" , you know that Universal Studios commercial song? Odd to say the least. -Mike

  22. Hey there! In the future please make sure that you only create one topic on the same subject. I deleted the other one in the main forum. Thanks! -Mike
  23. Nice video Erik! Favorite part was, "Its closed!?!.....Its closed?!?" The little things make me happy. -Mike
  24. Moved to Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys. -Mike
  25. Its not just water rides. Its the fact that when people see that they can do something they will. If they're not 100% locked down there's a good chance someone will think they are above the rules and get out. I think that on just about all the rides I've worked on I've seen guests get out of the vehical or boat only because they could. Give them any wiggle room and they'll make the most of it! -Mike
