^ It didn't even open today. Shame actually, since there hasn't been a single drop of rain since the early hours of this morning. Obviously a gamble, one that I think worked out poorly. But just looking outside it looks like it could begin to pour at any moment, and its been that way the entire day. -Mike

^ Only if we can give you more Kings tickets! They actually won tonight by a 7 goal margin. Now you really can't refuse. -Mike -

It'll probably be alright. Just do go to much later than that though, to any park really. Lots of people get passes as Christmas presents, so they use this break from work and school to go get them processed. But yeah, the day after you should be okay. Expect Viper, X, and Sky Tower to be closed. Ninja only opens if the weather permits, and at this time of year it rarely does. -Mike

Traveling? Don't Drink From That Hotel Glass
Mr.Six replied to ginzo's topic in Random, Random, Random
Although this is gross, if it honestly bothers you that much bring your own glasses. I'd rather just not know, like Paul said , I'm sure there's a ton of stuff we don't know about and frankly, its going to happen so why worry? Just my 2 cents. _Mike -
Stay with it Robb, even if you don't make the 30/30 day thing. Already over 20 pounds in under a month! That's impressive. You ever seen those commercials where they show something like, "20 pounds in the first 6 weeks". And that's just what they're advertising! In reality I bet on average its less. _Mike

Wow! ^ That doesn't even feel all that long ago. -Mike

^ Glad to hear you had a great time at the park! Every time I go up to X I'm always amazed at how fast that crew works. There's a sense of urgency, something that I feel lacks in lot of the other crews around the park. The only thing I can think of is that its easier to work that ride while working at a fast pace. I remember checking seats there and its a lot easier if you find yourself a groove to work in. Rather than being slow and sloppy. Either way, the X crew is awesome. -Mike

After the park closed, they invited us to go ride it. I decided to pass on the opportunity. But a couple nights ago I went up there to operate it for the last time before it becomes X2. Which honestly, I think it'll be cool. But the same ride. Which is the main reason why I passed on riding it for the 'last' time. -Mike

Six Flags Magic Mountain Announces "X2"
Mr.Six replied to Loco's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'd be happy with that. Or at least have clear signs signalling that the line is breaking into 3 different groups. Front - Mid - Back. Really, how it is now is pointless and produces only confusion and unintentional line cutting. -mike -
Well, I'm not going to jump to conclusions. It doesn't say she was standing in the track area, just on a platform that normally employees aren't active in. At least during cycle time. Perhaps she was new, poorly trained, went out to some catwalk and fell. Doesn't sound like she actuallly ignored signs and walked right out into the track area. Just my two cents. - But we'll see as this case develops. -Mike

New Matterhorn cars, first peek
Mr.Six replied to speedracer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think they look fine. I'm sure when they replaced the original cars with the ones they have now people thought they were odd as well. The only thing that might concern me is capacity dropping. -mike -

^ I can confirm that Viper does have four trains right now. What I'm wondering is when they got it. -mike -
Six Flags Magic Mountain Announces "X2"
Mr.Six replied to Loco's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Viper is set to be closed until the end of the year due to repainting. As I was walking through the park at around 9:30 this morning I noticed a lot of people walking on the ride. Seems like they're waisting no time at all. On a related note : Does anyone know when Viper got a 4th train or am I a bit on the slow side on that one? -mike -

I know where all of those pictures were taken. And even as a park employee we are discouraged to take pictures of backstage areas and upload them on the internet. Are you even an employee at the park? -mike -

Joey's right. The flashback exit ramp/height check area is used as a breakroom for the scare actors from Jokesters. -mike
