Question about SFMM's X
Mr.Six replied to jspiwak1989's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
No, I know what your talking about. A few years ago Wednesday was its day off of operation. But now X is operating daily. _six -
Eh, Log Jammer is actually pretty decent. As for Jet Stream...its kinda ghetto and lame. Although both are known for their logs being filled with "Magic Mountain Soup". _six

Space Mountain block zone question....
Mr.Six replied to Spideyfreak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Although I don't have answer for you, I can only give you my theory. For one reason or another a CM does have to go to each block to manually reset, perhaps its a safety issue so that one console (panel) can not reset without someone else's permission. That would be the CM at the block. Explain to my why X has 3 E-stops on its lift hill, its all technical and not really meant for normal use. The manufacturer obviously has made the ride like that for a reason. At X I can only assume its for computer simulation if the computers did issue an E-stop all sections of the lift...just my guess don't take it as fact. While the rockets do stop at blocks when it does stack up, they also stop if there is an error or some other problem with the ride. I personally see no probably with CMs having to run the Mountain, if anything it lets the guests know that someone from the ride is there. Also, whenever a ride is halted its always demanded that a crew member goes to each stopped unit/train and talks with the guests. Just spieling over the PA system isn't the same. _six -
How can I possibly be sick yet again! I was seriously just sick about a month or so ago....this really grinds my gears. _six

Eh... is it a 'good' commercial yes. Is it the right one for now, I think not. The commercial itself was indeed rather impressive, with the CG effects. Although it did seem somewhat like a RCT game trailer. But down to the real matter it didn't promote 'family fun'; which is what I thought the company was aiming for. This commercial is without a doubt targeted to teens, which is something that I thought the park image was trying to pull away from. I really do support the idea of having the Six Flags parks becoming more family friendly, but it has to be constant. Just the other night I was leaving work and I heard harecore rap music being blasted from one of the private party areas at Six Flags. Not trying to compare this new commercial to hardcore rap songs, but its just the inconsistencies in their plan. I thought the previous "You are Here" commercial was much better in staying in touch with their new family fun promotions. Just my opinion. _six

Actually you really should run to X first thing in the morning. It doesn't accept Flashpass. After X I'd skip Tatsu and try to hit up the back of the park. Keep in mind that Deja vu also doesn't accept them. Make your way around, go get the flashpasses and hit some major rides that do accept them. Such as Tatsu. _six

LOL! It really was an awesome day! Everything from start to finish was great. Also...do I only spot four waffles on your plate?! I could of sworn you had more at some point. Thanks again Chuck for everything you helped out with that day! You rock....but in a good way....not like "Rockin' Chuck" or anything. _six

While enjoying my walk in the 90 degree heat today I walked past the entrance to Magic. Noticed something though, the decent looking sign out front is now gone. The one on the center divider on the road leading up the hill towards X. Constructions crews are starting to make some progress around the surrounding areas of the park. Progress of what? I have no idea! _six Sorry for the crappy quality... but you can tell that its gone.

^ Not to mention that its also in a very complex area. Psyclone had that entire side for the crews to work with. With Flashback you have Hurricane Harbor on one side and metro transfer tracks on the other. I almost want to say that they might just close off the pathways to it and use the large open area in front of it. But then where would Season Pass processing be. _six

Its best to just respect the rules of the park and if they say no then don't record. _six

***Psyclone*** 3/23/1991 to 2006 - We met at a private party late September - You needed resetting -I went up quick -Little did I know you were really quite sick -One hour I sat as they were trying to get you back - Suddenly I heard a large crack - The train started to move - Things seemed to improve .... ... - Many months would pass -I would push reset -You would issue an E-stop - I don't care that this doesn't rhyme ... - Now Burn in hell you POS. _six

For some reason I've always found them to be a lot more annoying if its at Knotts rather than at Magic. Not sure why, maybe because Knotts is a smaller park so it feels like there's more of them. But like Elissa said, most of them had their familes with them. And I'll take working with families over gangsters any day. There was only one girl yesterday who I wanted to staple, but overall not bad. _six

^ On packed or very hot days majors like Riddlers usually does have a few crew members being groupers/bouncers at selected locations. I'm sure Jahan could go into more detail about it, but I'd just guess that at Riddlers its more of an issue on how hot it is inside the station rather than how crowded it gets if the weather is cool. _six
