Classic Disneyland! (RCT2)
Mr.Six replied to Mr.Six's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Hey, Glad to see you guys still have interest in the park. I moved over the summer, school started back up, job takes up the weekend, but I'll have it up. The only thing that has really changed is that there is no Haunted Mansion anymore. Instead it was replaced with a Pooh Area which includes a ride, candy store, and resturant. I did this beacuse the Haunted Mansion was getting about 80% less people than most of the other rides. I just felt as if something better could be there. Within the last few weeks I actually started back up on the park, having taken a long break. But like I said, I'll see if I can fix one or two more things then have it up for download. _six -
Nice TR, too bad that one coaster didn't open for you. But actually, that fair seems a bit above average compared to all the ones I've been to. Not sure if its one design for all of them, but the front for the mirror maze thing is the exact same thing as ours. _Six

Nice TR. Everytime I go to Fright Fest I always think of it as so-so to good. Which when you think about it, is pretty damn good considering its done by Six Flags free of charge. What esle does Six Flags do that actually turns out so-so to good when its free. Yesterday I saw a few Fright Fest workers, and really there's nothing there that you can't get at your basic Halloween shop...but then again I have to remind myself that its a free service. BTW- Awesome tombstone picture! _six

Well you know, I'm all for a refurb of the place. I visited the island on my last visit there in November of last year, and only because it had been 5-7 years since I had. It was really looking bad, Fort Wilderness was closed and looked as if it was being used as a backstage storage area. I didn't see any cast members on the island. Also, I don't really see this as a good long term financial investment. Sure, the whole 'pirate' thing is a cool thing now. But just wait a few years after the 3rd movie is released. _six

1) I only read political books. 2) I'm learning the middle levels of Maya and other C.G animation programs. 3) Halloween is and always has been my favorite Holiday. 4) I like green beans, like almonds. But cook them together and I'll probably puke. 5) Prefer older black and white movies to new ones. _six

When I worked in Bugs Bunny World at SFMM. I would always see these horrible parents forcing their screaming kids onto rides. We were taught during training that if the child is a danger to themselves to not have them ride. That's only if they're out of control and are trying to get out of the car. Never goes over well with the parents and usually ends with, "This would never happen at Disneyland!". _six

Its a decent log ride. Better than JetStream IMO. Yeah, two drops. the first one is probably around 40 ft; the second one is a little bit higher. _six

magic mountain fans!
Mr.Six replied to stricklandCC's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You can expect Flashback, and Thrill Shot to be closed for sure. Other rides that don't open with the park often are Deja vu, Superman, Sky Tower, and Ninja. X may or may not be closed; I've heard they're aiming for the middle of October. If X is open I'd suggest running to it when the park opens, the skip Tatsu and do the back of the park. Make your way around, maybe stop and get lunch. Then pick up flashpasses for Tatsu and other rides you missed. To your question "Does having two days at the park better my chances for all credits?" I think it might, because sometimes rides that can't be staffed like Ninja, Sky Tower, Deja, and other flats might be staffed one day and not the other. But more than anythng having two days will break down the chaos of trying to get everything which is a very good thing! Hope you have a good time. _six -

Six Flags Announces Dream Nite!
Mr.Six replied to Sir Clinksalot's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
* Six Flags takes Disney Press Release - Searches for all the "Disney"s in the release. - Replaces them with "Six Flags". _six -
While resetting Psyclone's lift hill I tripped due to one of the wooden stubs breaking off. That counts as dying 'on' a coaster right? _six

I've heard from quite a few people at Magic that Freefall is set to reopen in as early as next week. As for X, I heard it was once again dropped from budget and they're aiming for the middle of October. Something that I should also bring up is that X doesn't really have a crew anymore. About five of them have quit since X has been down. I bring this up in hopes that X doesn't turn into "Team Tatsu". A bunch of new people who don't really know how to work together. Oh well...we'll see. _six

Knotts: Potential for Greatness
Mr.Six replied to ed_orangeco_cali's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Honestly, Knotts isn't a bad park in my mind if you look at the ride selection and most of the staff. Sure they're not quite up to the Disney cast member standard, but higher that most Six Flags' workers. My personal problem I have with Knotts is how great it USE to be. Before Cedar Fair basically turned it into a mini Cedar Point. It had historic value to it, most of the employees were really awesome, it was just special in its own way; and all this without Silver Bullet, Xcelerator, Ghostrider, WindJammer, etc. Sure, Cedar Fair made its coaster count go up, but it took more then it could ever give back. I remember Jew saying a few months back or so, "Who needs history when you have concrete!" And that sums it all up. _six -

^ I was thinking about it...but the sake of humanity wouldn't allow it. _six -
^ In my past, the Disney parks have been the most laid back on taking pictures and videos on rides. _Six
-
^ Well, except for a lot of the staff there, the selection in flat rides is probably the worst thing about the park. There really isn't any sort of a selection of them. Two of them are underconstruction until furhter notice. Those being Circus Wheel and Free Fall. I'm hontesly no fan of spinning rides, but I did enjoy my ride on Grinder Gearworks. Also found in Gotham city is Atom Smasher. You then have Sky Tower, which is open about half the time due to staffing issues. Although I have noticed that now that the park has gone to Fri,Sat,&Sun only scheduels, staffing everyone has rather improved. You have Spin Out, I've never been on it and I have absolutley no desire to do so. And thats just about it for flat rides, all spinning. Tea Cups and Weather Balloons in Bugs Bunny World; and let me tell you, those two aren't just for kids. So yeah, the selection of actual flats are rather small. The ones they do have all spin. So if your not a real fan of spinning rides; sorry. _Six

Be at the gates at 9:30 or at least no later than 9:45. Run to X , do NOT run to Tatsu. This is something that I've been hearing a lot of people suggest. Unless you have no interest in X, don't run to Tatsu. After X, go to the back of the park. Make your way around. Perhaps after you've made one round around the park stop have lunch pick of Flashpasses. Then go back and hit Tatsu and any other big ride you missed. Hope this helps, have a great time. _six
