  1. Too bad your "knowledge of coasters" doesn't pay their bills. It really wouldn't make sense for a park to pay too much attention to what coaster enthusiasts like. They would be serving to a very small percentage; which is also a lot harder to please than the GP. I'm not too sure if I see the point in this thread. Its true that the GP doesn't obsess about coasters which results into them not being that well educated about it; but should you really let it get under your skin? _six
  2. Have a great flight over here! _six
  3. Hey, nice video. Its really great how SFMM is doing these construction tours for the websites; I think all parties benefit from it. Tatsu is looking really good and I can't wait to see the improvments when I go up this weekend! _six
  4. Sorry if I offended anyone, but my feelings remain the same. _six
  5. Before I would even consider voting I think I would want comfirmation; sorry but saying that your friend's neighboor said so just doesn't cut it with me. _six
  6. You don't have to be 18 to operate rides. At least in California. All the rides operate differently. They train you on location; so I don't think you can find out that information on the web. Also I don't think they expect anyone to know how to operate rides when you are interveiwed. _six
  7. I've been in 2 fender-benders and 1 medium sized accident. Thankfully nobody has gotten hurt in any of them. Glad to hear that you are feeling better and you weren't "too badly" hurt; still really sucks though. _six
  8. Update! Okay, most of the pics you see are "very" undone. But I felt that this thread needed some life breathed back into it. So, I decided to show you what the current status of the park is early! Enjoy the pics. _six Something I didn't mention before is that Space Mountain is the fastest yet safest attraction. It operates 8 trains with 12 blocks and will stop cars if they get too close to each other. Thanks for reading! Back to Tomorrow Land. We see where the People Mover travels through the "Tron Tunnel". This isn't the final station. Its simply a color test; the final one will be much better done. But it does show you what colors will be used. Big Thunder Mountain is starting to look better but its still in its "boxy" stage of building. This shows the inside of Adventure Thru Inner Space and Space Mountain. It also shows how the people mover travels through both of them. "Magnification can I possibly survive!" The original attraction is back in its crib The building is connected to Space Mountain. Autopia is still in its earliest stages of being built! But you can already see the queue building being built. The small Submarine show building. Shows the lost empire of Atlantis! "Dive, Dive!" The unfinished Submarine Voyage! "Welcome aboard the People Mover!" Travels at 4mph and gives people a good look at what Tomorrow Land has to offer! An overview of the park! You've never seen anything like this picture before! You can see Tomorrow Land is starting to take shape!
  9. Okay, I think everyone here as there ups and downs at being a parkmaker. All I see for this topic in the future is becoming pointless and being a flame war board. _six
  10. So let me get this straight; anyone who films at themeparks is a Robb and Elissa "wannabe"?!? _six
  11. Hey Robb! Great video and overall update! I'm glad to hear that she isn't aware of any plans for flashback's removel. I'm sure that if SFMM wanted to move/demolish the ride this would be the time that they would do so. _six
  12. 2/26/06 Update! Beginning stages of Tomorrow Land underway! Enjoy the pics! BTW- Sorry for the low quality of the pics. The next update's pics will be back to normal quality. Thanks! _six This just shows some minor progress on Splash Mountain. Thanks for reading! And check back soon for updates! A look inside the mountain. As you can see; its almost an exact copy of Disneyland's Space Mountain! Probably the hardest Disneyland building to make. Good thing I didn't have to make it! It just hit the earth from space! What are the chances of it landing here huh!?! "This is tower; launch sequence engaged" Umm...yeah its Space Mountain! The entrance of Tomorrow Land. Also you can see Astro-Jets! Here's a look at the whole ride. Big Thunder Mountain can operate 3 trains with ease. They are timed so they can interact with each other! "Howdy Folks!" Big Thunder Mountain is starting to look great! But major work needs to be done. Walt wanted everyone to call each other by their first name. All of the staff at this park are marked with a first name and the area that they patrol. Here's an upclose look at the queue. There's a hidden mickey in there. (One of the more obvious ones) But before we get to them. Let's check back on progress made on rides. Here is a new finished Haunted Mansion. An overview of the area! A few new rides are visible!
  13. Huh; weird. I've never heard of that before. But it pretty much tells you what the problem is. If you have played RCT2 on your computers before and its just now telling you this; then that's good. That means that there is a problem with the game, not your computers not being able to support RCT2. My advice, try to save your parks onto a CD. Buy a new RCT2. But first I'd write to tech support about it. _six
  14. I have to agree with you on that one! ^ I'm not too happy on where I placed Splash Mountain; but we'll see how it all comes out. I'm also adding the Bear Country Jamboree back there so Splash won't be all by itself. Also, that area of the park won't be shaped like a "C" ; peeps will be able to walk all the way around the River's of America. Thanks for the comments! Expect an update probably late tonight! _six
  15. Okay, I respect your ideas about the "colors not matching" ...but I would really like an example. Use an example from one of the pics and tell me what would be better. _six
  16. Could you give an example ? _six
  17. Not sure what you mean by using "too many colors". Most of the buildings are actually recreated (color wise) from the actual park. The width of the path changes throughout the park. But I've tried to keep the path's width true to the real parks. Keep in mind, that many of the shots you just saw are in no way completed (including their paths) _six
  18. Ready for another update?!?! _six ^Haha; just kidding. The building just hasn't been built yet. I'll leave you with one final look at a backstage area. Thanks for reading and check back soon! You know; I always thought that the HM seemed to "housed in" so with this version I've left the whole ride wide open! "Is this haunted room actually stretching!" Why yes! Its the Haunted Mansion! What kind of Disney park would this be if this wasn't here! The DLRR New Orleans Station will be at the very end of Rivers of America. Its not done by the way...hope you could see that. Aha! I was right! Most of the ride does take place back there! ....Just a look at the layout. The Splash Mountain Show Building. (This is where most of the ride takes place) A view that shows Splash Mountain's station and main control tower! "Everybody's got a laughing place!" Splash Mountain is starting to look good. Major work still needs to be done on the mountain however. Backstage Pirates. Your peeps will have no idea how close Indy and Pirates come so close to each other. A place for a Disney Classic to chill at. Actually this is the maintance area for the DLRR. This funny shaped building is actually the backstage entrance to Pirates! Evacuating guests will take this route and will be dropped off in New Orleans Square. A look at the completly done backstage area of Adventure Land and New Orleans square! Club 33 is a place for your VIP peeps! Its the only place in the park to get the "VIP Golden Ballons" Lobster Buffet anyone?!? Pirates of the Carribean is looking pretty good! If you look right to the right of the entry you can see the Club 33 door! My personal favorite area of Disneyland. New Orleans square! It was pretty hard to get a good look to the place; but I think it turned out well! All it takes is dust right?...Err and some time; that is to build the Peter Pan dark ride! Here's a simple view of what's going on overall.
  19. Yo! I'll post some pictures later on tonight; but I just wanted to tell you guys what's done and what's being worked on since the last update! -Finished- Indiana Jones Pirates of The Carribean Blue Bayou (Includes all shops and restaurants New Orleans Sqaure Club 33 (For all those VIP Peeps!) River Belle Terrace All Adventure Land and New Orleans Sqaure backstage areas. King Authors Carousel -In Progress!- Peter Pan Splash Mountain Haunted Mansion Mark Twain Dock. Check back in around 3 or so hours for a massive photo update! _six
  20. Yes! I was hoping someone would notice! _six
  21. Ahh...sorry to hear about this Guy. I'm sure he had a great life with you can your family. I know the feeling of losing pets all too well; so I know how you feel. _six
  22. I'm hoping the world blows up or something, before the deadline comes for me to turn in my manditory 40 hours of community service papers. _six
  23. I'm offended! ^ Haha, seriously though. I don't "walk" around...too lazy for that type of an activity! _six
  24. Does everyone know what time it is!?!?! Update Time!! _six The Mark Twain that travels down "Rivers of America". (doesn't actually operate) Thanks for reading! And check back soon for the next update which will feature New Orleans square! Here you can see the overall progress made from the last update. The Inside of Pirates and a look at the Blue Bayou! Its fairly well themed inside; but its pretty hard to tell from that pic. You can tell that this Pirates actually goes underground! Something that you won't find at the DLR. "Yo-ho-Yo-ho a pirates life for me!" Yep, you all knew it was coming and here it is. The outside of the building is still pretty bare. You can see that one balcony is already there; many more will follow as New Orleans develops. This picture shows where the train will exit from the panaramas. To make the Indy building not so "Here's wonderful Disneyland ignore the ugly warehouse" Some extra things were added to the outside of the building. Also, you see just how close the DLRR comes to the building. Note that riders on the train will not see a Proof that what I said was true! Indy is almost done with some minor things to do. Please note that all the "empty land" around Indy will be filled up with New Orleans Square and backstage areas. Here's a front look at the ride. Purty aint it! Something I forgot to really mention early on was the Alice in Wonderland dark ride. Its built to the left side of the castle. With custom "Alice in Wonderland" cars thanks to the Amazing Earl!
  25. Here's an article that goes into pretty good detail about the two: http://www.themeparkinsider.com/reviews/disney's_california_adventure/twilight_zone_tower_of_terror/ Edit: Strange, I tried to repost this link for him, but it does the same exact thing. Oh well.
