  2. death by laughter anyone? lol if only we had something like that happen, it'd at least make where i live that little bit interesting... although, we do have foxes livind about 10 metres away in a house... 0_o
  3. thats it, me and my friends are gonna disrupt the whole school in a lobster costume and a caterpillar costume we have a 400 watt amp, 2x200 watt speakers, 1xMichael Jackson album, and 1 day when we're free hehehe... were so gonna be expelled maybe in a year and a half when it doesnt matter... great video and useage of music!!!
  4. heh, my overly obsessive nature for The Flying Fish at Thorpe Park will return anew for the 2007 season i adore kiddie coasters, you sometimes get a great pop of airtime you wouldnt normally get from a big rollercoaster
  5. greatest psychologist ever or just a nutcase? (there would be a link to a video, but someone uploaded it to youtube without permission. try Wikipedia) you decide.
  6. 5 that ive noticed how many times have you over dramatised on a rollercoaster (OMG!!!! WERE GONNA DIE!!!! type thing) just to let you know, we re-acted FD3 and made 7 or 8 people leave the ride, lol

    airtime

lol, cheers Oblivion: Floater airtime Corkscrew: Ejector airtime (and to the extreme at that! the only up point of the vekomas...)
  8. invertigo (i'm sure ive ridden something like that...)

  11. Thanks for all the feedback! You sound very passionate about roller coasters, and that's great. However, I'm afraid that many of the very particular nuances you mentioned will not be in this game. There are shades of simulation in Thrillville, but it was never intended to be a pure simulation. In fact, the game allows you to design coasters that defy the laws of physics -- it's all about the fun of it as opposed to absolute realism. (If you play racing games, this is kind of like "Burnout" as opposed to "Gran Turismo.") I'm sorry if that's not what you want to hear. The focus of this game is purely the fun of being at a theme park -- and doing everything there is to do at one. Beyond just riding the rides, this includes walking the park at ground level, where you can actually talk to your guests for tips on how to make the park better. You can also play more than 20 minigames, from arcade-style games to nine holes of mini-golf that you can design yourself. im a bit sorry it wont actually be on PC, but i'll survive. if you do think about putting it on PC, these ideas will more than likely help a lot! (also: make it so you can set the height restrictions yourself! )
  12. *high5!!!* i completely agree, they have theme parks as well as museums and a waxworks museum 0_o they (i believe) recently bought Heide Park!
  13. Oblivion may be out of date, but i perfer it. Oblivion was only a test rollercoaster. like Air, it isnt at full potential because of this. to be perfectly honest, it doesnt need to be floorless.
  14. as much as the wood chuck would care to chuck... i think. how many emo's would it take to screw in a lightbulb? (its harsh, i know...)
  15. yeah, it needs to be for the PC as well. im a massive fan of rollercoaster games and personally speaking i find realism to be quite cool. the rollercoasters need to be realistic and easy to make. could they also have something to do with designers (ie Vekoma, B&M) and maybe have the logo of the company on it, or if the player could make a logo for the ride and upload it into the game? it will need a music importer thing as well. the thrill rides must be designed on real rides, but could it also be possible to choose what height and speed the ride goes at? on the chain lift hill, can you automatically have it so the chain return is there just to add a small bit of realism? could it also be possible to design something so it stops or slows down on the lift hill if there are block brakes that havent been reached yet? i'll try and think of some more ideas, but so far, these would be AMAZING!!! actually, if you do need any more help add me: Apocalyptic_Demise@hotmail.com

    airtime

what are the different types of airtime and what are the definitions? cheers to all that reply!
  17. out of the rides i have done, these are the few that give great bursts of airtime Rattlesnake (CwoA, i end up standing every time we go over a hill) Colossus (TP, massive airtime after the loop and unde the shop! great head chopper!) Nemesis (AT, im surprised for such a small beginning hill it atually goes that fast!) Nemesis Inferno (TP, not as much, but still a decent amount) RQOS (AT, nice first curve into a massive hill filled with airtime. try to keep the bars loose for extra airtime!) Corkxcrew (AT, omg a vekoma with decent airtime??? have the bars as loose as possible. major airtime, especially with loos restraints, its almost scary) Spinball Whizzer (AT, down the first hill and on the overbanks) Oblivion (AT, feels like your flying 0_o) I'm sure ive ridden a kiddie ride filled with airtime...
  18. ive seen 3 variations, so im guessing more how many times have you (unwillingly) volenteered for something embarassing?
  19. idea: you will need 1) rope (lots of it) 2) skateboard 3) car/bike 4) yourself (or some other stupid idiot to test it) method: 1) tie rope to back of car/bike 2) sit on the skateboard 3) hold on to the rope for dear life 4) get someone to pedal/drive really fast over hills, etc. or... get 2 friends to hold onto a length of rope. find a hill or something and sit on the skateboard or whatever. place rope (with somesort of padding) on your back. get your friends to pull really hard in oppoite directions which will launc you foreward. hold on and ask if they can bounce you to and fro for more fun
  20. i was going to do that for my 7th, but i ran out of tokens mine was The Millennium Coaster in Fantasy Island (i think its had a name change though...) it ended up being quite a big thing for me back then. i wasnt fully fleged(?), but i decided i loved inverted coasters *edit* bloody hell!!! this was my first Vekoma too!!! if i remember correctly, it was smooth as a baby's bottom as well!!! :S confuzzled
  21. i'd have to go with Thorpe Park fist, purely because the queues are over the top! 3 HOURS TO GET ON A F*CKING ROLLERCOASTER!!!! i will NEVER do that again. Chessington. One good rollercoaster, a good thrill ride and an ok-ish water ride. what more do you want? Adventure Island. one good ride. thank God for the new rollercoaster for 2007!
  22. i found this out on the Vampire in the 1990's. my first ride to be suspended and swinging at the same time. it really freaked me out, the way everything was themed perfectly, it had a really spooky atmosphere that never died! i almost didnt do it, but i did. i went back 5/6 years later after they had made it floorless and found it to be extremely rough, slow, very few swings and purely boring. the themeing had gone and eveything due to the change of trains. James 'great update! NOT!!!' Collins
  23. wow, i'm the only one to put Dive Machine? it was close with Inverted (Nemesis, Nemesis Inferno) and Flying (Air), but, to be honest, i loved Oblivion!
  24. my guess is about 35 how many times have you ridden a rollercoaster, to find out after/during the ride that it was a Vekoma?
