  1. Colossus at Thorpe Park comes straight out of a loop, under a bridge, over an airtime hill and dives under the shop. the extra airtime makes it feel like you really are gonna hit it. Oblivion is also very good. it looks smaller that a 2p piece from the top i dont think ive been on any other rollercoasters with tunnels...
  2. There is that one long section, about 1/4 of the track length where it is spent on your back. For some reason, this really annoys me. Not sure why, but it's like the "2nd lift" on some coasters that totally breaks the entire experience for me. --Robb its a banked incline, a banked helix, a banked decline into the lie to fly, then a full inline twist
  3. except for getting stuck on it, i love it!!! i feel that the name suits the ride, not too fast or scary, just an experience really. the inline twist into the tunnel is breath taking, especially when you see the massive boulder fly underneath your nose. loads of interaction with viewers, generally a great ride! loved every second, even going into the flying position in the station. only criticism is that it needs a launch and the tunnel you need to go through should have something interesting on it
  4. try and get Marylin Manson's score for Resident Evil, thats quite powerful. no lyrics, just music. really intense. the song from The Truman Show's quite good email me (Apocalyptic_Demise@hotmail.com) and i'll send you some songs i might set up one. a measly £1.50 includes a guided tour of the maze, maybe even allow the people to scare the next group of people have all the music done, just need a CD to burn it to, need to get the binbag curtains done. shouldnt be too hard to make, just some fun for me and my mates just finished making the awesome poster most effects used are so basic: pumpkins on floor with smoke machines behind them, strobes, binbag dividers, crappy costumes, torches, etc. Gonna be great fun!!! i might be able to get pictures of my friends, etc. i hope it works!!! some profits going towards charities.
  5. thats disgusting. would any decent person do that, in public or not? its nearly as bad as bestiality or something along those lines

    aquatrax

that looks and sounds very painful. i would ride one to experience it, but whoever created aquatrax should be shot. thank God there arent any in England

    aquatrax

they dont look that bad... probably really painful though lol
  8. mine would have to be a Disk'o. not because its scary, the restraints hurt like f**k :\. if there's on ride im truly afraid of, it would have to be a freefall tower. i hate watching them, but i love riding them :\. i also hate ferris wheels, the ski-transport things (one in Isle of Weight thats got an 80ft drop onto a stalagtite and we managed to push the bars up. this was when i was around 8, lol) and very violent rides. may sound cliche, but i have yet to find a ride that truely scares me so much that i wont go on it. im desperate to do a skycoaster though and i love the Huss Enterprise. the less restraints, the better!!!

what are they? someone link me to a description please!! i know people will put www.google.com, but the fact is, i cant find it there :\ please help!
  10. Malaga is in the south of Spain, very far of all the other parks. I think that Tivoli World is a tipical small park, with no more of 100.000 visits year. It's not interesting. In order of priority: -PortAventura (Tarragona, Catalonia) -Parque Warner (Madrid) -Terra Mítica (Alicante, Valencia) -Parque de atracciones de Madrid (Madrid) -Isla Mágica (Sevilla, Andalucia) -Tibidabo (Barcelona, Catalonia) -Tívoli world (Málaga, Andalucia) it may be a small park, but it sure beats some of the other small parks!!! we pretty much went for the 200ft drop, but there were more than that, plus its up the side of a mountain and you get a great view from any ride
  11. thats my main reason. i also use rides to test my courage, see if i cant push it that one bit further riding old rides brings back cherished memories from childhood. also, being able to go 70mph in less than 2 seconds is the best feeling ever!! almost like a euphoria that should never end, and doesnt end until the day after.
  12. coming from a guy who hasnt been anywhere near the USA, i loved last years fright nights!! Hellgate was very good, made me jump a few times and possibly caused paranoia (i kept feeling like i was constantly being watched). they had some great hiding places and sme red herrings, confusing you even more. the dud with the meat cleaver (spelling?) was really scary when he rushed us from in front. the rides were knocked up a couple of notches, so they were going great! only on downfall: The Asylum's queue was dictated at 99mins, but it was much longer than that. overall, i give it an 8/10
  13. if you can, get to Malaga and go to Tivoliworld. opens from 18:00-02:00 (yes, in the morning!) has a great 200ft freefall tower, 2 rollercoasters, loads of flat rides, horror walks, log flume, fun house, etc... only 16 euros!!! well worth it!!!
  14. i think they should actaully do a glass floor for an elevator, have it on one of the tallest buildings, lol.
  15. what was the scariest thing that has happened to you whilst on a rollercoaster? mine was on Corkscrew at Alton Towers. not only is it the most violent ride ever, we got stuck half way up the lift hill for about 5 minutes. but before that, there were the really really small, cramped trains that i could just about fit in (leg room), then the restraints came down. ok, they looked safe, but when they locked with a foot between the bars and me without the seat belt from the seat to the restraints, i began to panic. as it is very violent, you want as little room between your stomach and the restraints, so i was clinging on for dear life as we flew (me, literally) over the airtime hill, which, of course, was very painful. we hit the helixes (ouch! my neck!) and into the inter-locking corkscrews where we slowed down a lot, so theres me, haning on for dear life, falling out of my restraints barely 25ft high on one of the slowest corkscrews ever, screaming every dirty word under the sun with a 10 year old girl somewhere behind me. we escaped the corkscrews and hit another set of helixes. my neck hits the restraints and i see black spots (if thats possible) as we hit the brake run. if that wasnt bad enough, the restraints didnt unlock for me, and me alone (with the restraints a foot away from my stomach, no seat belt to hold them down), my brother who was sitting next to me had to literally climb over my restraints. After a second, unwilling ride where, once again, i actaully swore at the ride attendant (if you want to know what it was, this is what i was saying for the 2 mins of the ride: 'i f**king hate you. your a worthless peice of s**t! go and rape a donkey you a$$wipe!!' as we hit the corkscrews: 'holy Jesus t*tty f**king Christ!!!' and as we hit the brake run: 'f**k you!' as you can see, i was really angry). they didnt even give me any compensation also got stuck on Spinball Whizzer (Alton Towers) in the brake run with the speech saying: 'Wooooohooooo! What a ride! when we get into the station, please exit on the right hand side! thank you for riding The Spinball Whizzer! Wooohooooo!!!' for about 5 minutes. And you all think It's A Small World is bad. this speech repeats every 30 seconds!!! anyway, enough about my story, what has ever happened to you on a rollercoaster?
  16. Oblivion holds you like, 70ft in the air But, the drop is better then Sheikra's. Lack of hole takes a lot from Sheikra's. its drop is 200ft, of which 50ft is underground so, 150 ft high. the ride photograph says so still, much better than Sheikra
  17. my favourites are: 1) Detonator (Thorpe Park. masses of airtime, fastest 100ft tower around!!!) 2) the 200ft tower in Malaga, Spain (seems to last quite a long time. love the way it slowly drags you up, then speeds up and slows down again before doing a quick 5 ft pre-drop, thena full scale drop. INTENSE!!!) 3) not sure if this counts, but, Oblivion (Alton Towers. i loved being held 200ft in the air almost vertical before being dropped. much better than Sheikra)
  18. how about a spinning rollercoaster where the rotation is on the horizontal (so you swing upside down). mayb have a 100* drop, a couple of sharp corners and an inversion. James 'i quite like the sound of that!' Collins
  19. i eat people that try to kidnap 16 year olds from graveyards, lol
  20. can you change mine to: does this count as a kiddie credit?
  21. ive had a couple of ideas: 1) if you have RCT3 and the expansions, you'll know what im talking about. a Wild Mouse track with seats that pivot on the vertical axis. the swing side to side (like the Gyrator) as you go down hills, around corners, inversions, etc. 2) once again, Wild Mouse style track but with banked corners. seat swing backwards and forwards freely depending on gravity. allows a 360* swing 3) a rollercoaster where always stays upright on hills and inversions. allows for more extreme airtime
  22. if only The Vampire at CwoA were a Vekoma, the ride would be much much much more comfortable!!! no head baning!!! im thinking: would there be a chance for an arrow ride to have this?
  23. i quite like the sound of having the music actually sort into alphabetical order. i have about 15 songs in alphabetical order, then another song that goes alphabetically. need catwalks on lift hills, brake runs, etc and i also agree with the business side of things. you choose how much you want to spend, give specs and send them to 'designers' (vekoma, arrow, etc) who send you a 3D design of what the ride could look like, then you choose the design you want. also, get sponsering for maintainance of the rides!!! <---- love that idea also, be able to take the 'auto-turns' thing off (pre-determines the turn) this could help with working out the speed and tightness of corners on Wild Mouse rides
  24. well, i go around scaring everyone, using 'the festive spirit' as an excuse if i get told off play hide and seek (yes, im 16) in a grave yard, its quite scary do a little bit of trick and treating with my sister (8 years old) have a party around my friends house either stay at a graveyard or sleep in the woods. what do you do?
  25. 1) i'm the Lead singer and lead keyboarder in a Symphonic Extreme Death Metal Band that goes by the name of Tosototomatot (dont ask how to prnounce or where the name came from) 2) i'm afraid of heights bhut still go on freefall towers and i plan to do the half mile bungee jump in New Zealand 3) i love moshpits!!!! 4) i love theme parks more than life (actually, thats a bit of an exaggeration) 5) i used to be really flexible, but cant seem to do anything now
