Arrow's Comeback: Landslide
dr.gumbo replied to Sasquatch's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I thought it was fantastic. It was smooth, the supports are great and accurate and most importantly it was true to the arrow spirit (more old-style Arrow than late Arrow though) -

I know a POV has already been posted but that one wouldn't work for me. Instead I found this one on Youtube and I thought I'd link people to it incase they have the same problems with the other one. I think it looks really fun, nothing record-braking but fun. -
It looks cool but its a massive rip-off. Hence why I haven't been there despite living near one.

For all you questions, no . Awesome photo's, I always love photos of hidden gems like these. Looking forward to you next update! -
Original, smooth and fun and always with your tracks.

Awesome trip report, it makes me wish I was there. I would love to go back to Blackpool sometime but my dad hates the place (need not go into details).

Rate My Reseach Paper (about Amusement Parks)
dr.gumbo replied to Wathell's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
All I have to say has already been said apart from one thing: "No matter how you put it, life wouldn’t be as exciting without the Amusement Park." That's quite a bold statment you've got there. A themepark isn't the only source of fun. If it was most of our lives would be VERY boring indeed. -
Well, its smooth as expected from you but other than that, this is very mediocre stuff. I'm under the impresson that you made this purely to test your shapes so if thats the case I'll leave you to it.

Some Dude Deleted No Limits
dr.gumbo replied to redlaser21's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^ We can't put a download up. Firstly its illegal, secondly you need a code to activate it (unless you still have the original one). Just sent a note to the developers and if they can't do anything just re-buy it. Thats all I can say! -
Definately your best shot so far but its still flawed, some things I didn't like: -The bottom of that main drop is poorly shaped. -I didn't like how the banking started half-way down the drop either. -It was a slight bit pumpy but nothing alarming. -Banking was a bit off. But the worst thing for me was the pacing, when I first saw it I though it was going to charge through that layout, instead it felt slow and calm. When it hit the brakes I was left dissapointed mainly because I knew it would be so much better if it were a bit faster. The supports were impressive, I'll give you that!

[NL] Speed Train
dr.gumbo replied to Rafcoaster's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
This looks very rough so I'll give you some advise, make those vertex's wider. From what I see their not long enough and that makes a jerky ride. I'd like to see it complete! -
I personally think people are making too much of a fuss over this ride. They never said this would be earth-shattering, it was always going to be nothing more than another ride, I saw that from the beggining and judging from what I have read, so did others. Imagineers are IMO one of the most inventive ride designers out there (hence the name), they have brought you some of the best rides out there and, judging from Expedition Everest, their not getting any worse at it. Another E-Ticket will come eventually, we just have to wait for it. -Dr. 'Usually enjoys rides for what they are, not complain about what they could be' Gumbo-

TPR's Compact NL Coaster Contest
dr.gumbo replied to dr.gumbo's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^ Now you tell me! I've already started the poll and he said it has cool with him. I LOVE his ride mainly because he packed in loads of track into a smaller space than I asked him and I understood how hard it would to do that. I was under the impression you weren't happy with that and since it did kinda break the rules I ultimately decide to disqualify him. (why do I feel evil when I say disqualify) Its still an awesome ride though so I'll give him some praise. EDIT: Infact, because I'm so impressed I decided to create a special award for him called 'Dr.Gumbo's Track of Recognison Award'. I'll start giving this to tracks I think are worthy for whatever reason. If you get one, you know your tracks good. Don't worry, the contest winner will also get one! -
Sorry for digging up an old topic but I'm sure it won't hurt. Our car (which I obviously don't drive) is none other than a ten year old Seat Alhambra. It's not the fastest or the most powerful car in the world but its pratical, spacious and has hardly ever broken down(in comparison it its ridiculously high milage). Great shot of our car (took by me)

God, I'll feel like a jerk if I ignore your post so I have to reply. I wish you the best of luck and I hope things improve for you.
