  1. lmao, Jeff, this is great. This might be better than R&E's updates.
  2. Corkscrew at Playland (part of the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver, Canada) A lot of it was special effects and computer generation, so don't get too excited.
  3. DUDE, awesome PTR... lmao at the chocolate banana. Pound it, seriously, just pound it...
  4. 53 on Shivering Timbers without leaving my seat. I don't know how many I've done in one day before
  5. Or hell. Are there any Vekomas?
  6. Jeff! I love my buttons on Robb's site! It's great to see the UK trip from an old man's point of view, as compared to all the 20-some folks that are high off life. Keep up the awesome captions!
  7. And, from what I've heard about the coaster in the past, it's running smoother than it's ever been... sure, still not glass smooth, but definately bearable to most of us.
  8. Yesterday I took some time out of my day to head down to my homepark, Fun Spot. I'd never been there before so I wanted to at least get the credits and everything. Ended up really enjoying the place, it was kind of like the Beech Bend of five years ago. Sure, the coasters were really rough and everything, but for the price it's a really great deal and park. Snapped my first flyers. I was proud. The Zyclon(e) hurt a LOT more than I thought it would. No Bayern Kurve (Olympic Bobs) today. And there's lots more pictures where this came from! You can check out the rest of today's pictures (64, in total) by going here. I'm hitting one more park up before college starts hopefully, so I'll post a TR if I can after that. No coasters, though, it's a waterpark. See y'all later, *~* Jon
  9. That's what I'm interested in. If the price is right, I'd like to try the Spain trip, otherwise I'd like to be on the Midwest trip (even though I've got all those credits). Can't wait to hear more, guys. *~* Jon "Get me out of Michigan!" Roost
  10. O-M-F-Gizzle, I love the Voyage. Another great trip report from ya, I love reading them for some reason.
  11. About 5:00 tonight I made the decision to head up to the Saginaw County Fairgrounds up in Chesaning, Michigan. It's home to a permanent Zkylon installation which means one thing: CREDIT! Ewwww, it's hot outside. The Saginaw County Fairgrounds are decent looking fairgrounds. The credit of the night: the Zyklon! Why am I laughing so hard? Find out the answer as well as what happened at the fair by checking out the latest update by going here. Check it out, leave some comments, and I'll have another photo trip report this weekend from Fun Spot. *~* Jon
  12. I don't want to only just plug my site, but you can find the biggest list of songs played in the Dragster queue right here: http://www.pointxtreme.com/playlistttd.htm Personally, I love Chuck Berry, so when No Particular Place to Go comes on, I start singing along with the music.
  13. Kentucky Rumbler. After one ride on it I was hooked. It's fast, it's got airtime, it's fun, it's smooth, and it's a great ride.
  14. Photos don't seem to be working, but from the review it sounds like you had fun.
  15. Agreed with Park Trips. The east has so many parks in such a little area, it would definately be a good idea to go there. I mean, the parks out west are great and all, but they're much further apart than in the east.
  16. Seems like there's been a lot more accidents this year than in previous years... glad to hear everyone was taken off safely.
  17. Back at the end of May I got to go to Florida as drum major (in charge) of my high school marching band for the Magical Music Days event. We spent four days in Florida (three at Disney) and had a lot of fun. Highlights of the trip: ~C3P0 is awesome ~Good tower ~I'm a jedi ~Big castle ~Leading a marching band down Main Street U.S.A. ~Yeah, just go look at the pics... http://www.cheezonastick.net/updates/florida2006/florida20061.htm I know I'm really late posting this, sue me. I've been busy doing the WCC photo updates and then having oral surgery. Has anyone else done the Magical Music Days? It's a great event... *~* Jon "Now, who will actually reply to this thread?" Roost
  18. I don't know if it was an S&S thing or purely a Cedar Point thing, but they've been there since the ride opened so it's not a recent addition. EDIT: Canobie beat me to it.
  19. And I, also, have to agree with you on my two favorite CP coasters, Twister and Raptor. Back seat right on both of those is the best place to be on the entire ride. Glad to see you had fun at the Point, not too many people I go with are finding it fun anymore... oh well, more for us, I guess!
  20. You can start one, Barry, and be the President, Vice President, Treasurer, AND Secretary! Then you'll be able to get even MORE on your camera.
  21. Total Estimated Driving Time: 32 hours, 43 minutes Total Driving Distance: 2224.07 miles Hmmmm.... can't drive there...... Plane ticket cost: $500.00 Sorry guys, not this time. Maybe in another five-ten years when we all move out there so we CAN go to these events.
  22. While normally I'd say "Dragster, two and a half hours, no shade", I have to say Splash Mountain at Disney World this May. The standby sign said "30 minutes" so me and my friends hopped in line. Of course, Disney would let all of the FastPass people in first and THEN the standby people, so everyone with a FastPass was flying past us. 30 minutes in and and we weren't even halfway to being inside, an hour in and we were finally inside (away from the heat), we got to the stairs about fifteen minutes later, where we stood for another 30 minutes without moving, then finally the FastPassers were gone and the Standby line started moving. Two hours and fifteen minutes, that ride is SO not worth it. Wow, I just wrote a lot... sorry...
  23. Big Dipper at Geauga Lake, 1925 (I believe)
  24. Yes, but when was the last time they built a GOOD wooden coaster before Thundercoaster? Here's an e-mail Dan button for the updates, Robb. One's the forum button and one is a button you could use actually on the update pages. If you want, I can teach you how to put these in at the bottom of the forums where the other buttons are so that they actually work. Here's the forum button... ...and here's the one for the updates. Any other ideas for TPR forum buttons?
  25. Here's my order from favorite to least favorite (so far, I still have one left to watch): 7, 5, 6, 1, 3, 2 (and I haven't yet watched 4) They're all worth it, trust me. I've never watched better coaster DVDs.
