  1. Sorry, I don't like quoting myself, I just don't think my question was spotted.
  2. I just pre-ordered my Volume 5 and Volume 6, which will be my first TPR DVD's to date. Robb, since I ordered both of them do you ship them at different times or can you just ship them both together when Volume 6 comes out?
  3. Definately the Voyage at Holiday World. While I've never been to Holiday World, I like the construction of wooden coasters and this is definately one massive and amazing wooden coaster!
  4. I've been visiting ever since the Memorial Day "Where is everyone?" trip update. Never have gotten one of the DVDs however.
  5. Robb and Elissa, I'm trying to decide on a large theme park trip to take next year, and Europe is definately one of the options that I may look into. I have a few questions for you guys: 1. How many parks and coasters were covered? 2. How much per-person would a trip like that cost? 3. Do you need interpreters when you visit the parks, I speak no foreign languages and neither do my friends or family? Thanks, *~* Jon "I'm a proud thin ACE member" Roost
  6. Was it just me or was the boat ride themed to SMURFs? Course, we'll never see that in America due to racial sensitivity...
  7. Either this proves how big Greg is or how small the castle really is.
  8. You obviously haven't read the new rules on photo trip reports... you cannot only link to another site with pictures, you have to at least provide a few from the trip.
  9. I just discovered how magical Knoebel's was this year, and after hearing so many good things about it, I was still pleasantly surprised by it. I agree, it's a WONDERFUL park that just has a completely different atmosphere than any other park out there. However, the Flyers weren't working when I was there. Oh well, gives me something to look forward to for PPP (I plan on making it there for the first time this year).
  10. Can't wait to ride this next year! I think it will prove to be an interesting offseason for construction.
  11. Since my last request was deleted (don't know why...), can I please have "Frequently abused by OTSRs" ? Thank you!
  12. This is going to be one hell of a DVD, one everyone will have to buy.
  13. I don't remember a Tilt-a-Whril at Hersheypark, but I do know that Michigan's Adventure has one.
  14. I remember those first two shows, in fact I have them on video around here somewhere. Hopefully the third one is new?
  15. Just a quick question for anyone that might know, who manufactures all of those self-operated rides?
  16. I have two parks that are the EXACT same distance from my house. Fun Spot in Angola, Indiana; and Michigan's Adventure in Muskegon, Michigan. They're both an hour and 18 minutes away, EXACTLY.
  17. And the trip will be to? Never been to any of the four parks, but I have to say that I'd take PKD and BGW over Hershey and Dorney any day. *~* Jon "Headed to TimbersFest now" R.
  18. Cyclone Racer A missed coaster that will hopefully someday be rebuilt.
  19. Alright, time for my intro. Hi, I'm Jon. I live in Michigan where there are NO GOOD AMUSEMENT PARKS. The nearest "decent" amusement park is Cedar Point, and it's 3.5 hours away from me. Most of the time I just go to Michigan's Adventure and ride Shivering Timbers all day long. I've gotten 151 laps on it. That's all I have to say, the rest of my life is boring. I work on my website, hang out with my girlfriend, and work at McDonalds the rest of the time. Yeah. There's absolutely nothing cool about me or my life, sorry. I've been visiting the site for many many many years and decided it was time to register and start posting. Can't wait to get to meet some of you here on the forums! *~* Jon "Michigan sucks, dude" R.
  20. Have fun in Europe! Looks like you guys already are. *~* Jon "Hey, can I come to Europe too?" R.
  21. Steel Venom at Geagua Lake, a great ride http://www.rcdb.com/ig631.htm?picture=3
  22. ^ lol Thanks, but I think it might have something to do with the fact that his name is Tyler. Or I could be completely wrong and just making a fool of myself right now. Thanks all for taking the time to look at them! *~* Jon "This is truly a top-10 coaster" R.
  23. 212 - 228 (skips a few) This is the final set of pictures. I hope you enjoyed this update! My next update will be from TimbersFest (but will only be available on my website). After that I'm off to Niagara Falls and then down to Dorney, Hershey, Knoebel's, and more Geauga Lake! See you all near the end of the month! Here's all of the group. (L-R by head position) Larz, Tyler, Corey, Zack, Jenn, Tony, Alan, Matt, Ben, Quinton, Emily, John, Brad, Jordon, Dane, Eric, then finally me in the yellow t-shirt holding my new sweatshirt blanket. Last roller coaster picture of this update. 2 more. And this is a cool picture. Only three more photos after this. X-Flight really is a good ride, and I hope it gets better under Cedar Fair operation. And another. Another photo of Steel Venom. About 6 jazz band groupies were on the ride at the time. They were all manually released within a half an hour. Steel Venom would like to interrupt this story with a picture. What happened is that the restraint unlock failed, and they couldn't figure out why. ... it breaks down! This ride is about as reliable as Top Thrill Dragster it seems. Just as I get in line for X-Flight... Supposedly Mr. Hyde had a nasty fall. I hope he's a'ight. The final Head Spin photos, and one of the best. Bye bye Hurricane Hannah's! It's been fun!
  24. 197 - 211 The former Hurricane Mountain's grave. Just some more random pictures. I was trying to use up my entire memory card. Another Head Spinning picture. I love Steel Venom. I love it. Taking pictures on the monorail is really hard, as the trains are so weird. I can garuntee you'll never see this kind of theming at Michigan's Adventure. EVER. This is the one boring section on the ride. Big Dipper has great airtime in the front and back. Too bad they added seatbelts this year. Let's play "count the lawn chairs". You can go first. I tried to get as many pictures of Hannah's as possible, it won't be around much longer. Truck it over to Sandusky, paint it up, and you've got a free new-for-06 attraction that's well needed. Look at how much cooler Big Dipper is than Dominator. The only remaining slide tower. All of this will be demolished soon. Big Dipper will be the star of the old midway once Hannah's is gone.
  25. 182 - 196 There's only two more replies after this full of pictures, then I'm done. The Big Dipper was probably the #1 coaster when it debuted. Ask Paul Ruben, he would know. "Go on and holler: I love the water! I love the coasters in the sun..." The new picnic pavillions were to be completed the next day. There was only one person on the ride at the time. Guess his weight. Six Flags has much better theming than Cedar Fair has ever had, and unfortunately I think all of this will be lost over the next few years. "Gotcha Games"... in a kiddie area? What kind of "family park" is this? For some reason the song "Rock Lobster" played through my head when I saw this picture. Time Warp is rough, but still a fun and unusual ride. Americana was in a half-rehab/half-operation state that day. The Big Dipper doesn't look too old, but when you ride it you'll know exactly how old it really is. Mr. Hyde had no line all day long, so I got in a few rides. A Head Spin photo, that really serves no purpose. I hope the monorail gets re-done with the removal of Hannah's, it takes way too long to go around the last few curves. Hey, look! PEOPLE! Big Dippa' has some great trains, with knee pads (hint hint Zach's Zoomer).
