I hope that this year's poll turns out to be better than last year's. I put in my nominations and really like the fact that the categories are a bit different and not your run of the mill "favorite steel/favorite wood," so on and so forth. Although for all we know right at this very moment, the Rocky Mountain Treatment could turn out to be a complete disaster.

I actually wish they start adding new things to the "Extra Point" section before bringing the blog back. I liked the wallpapers, sound files, etc. ...then they just stopped. Essentially their Facebook page is a blog, so I see no need to have two. Besides, didn't one of the bloggers (I forget if it was Tony or Tyler) get a job elsewhere?

It's been a while, so I went to Taco Bell today. Mmmmm...

There are a few more videos on Youtube of them "testing" it. I don't know, the responses seem too random. I'm guessing this is just some sort of parody or skit. Besides, auditory sounds make up probably only a fraction of an animal's means of communication. Smells are another HUGE part.

I used to do that package also! That sucks they don't include the coupon book anymore...it was a really nice add-on touch to that deal! I used to go before math and science week existed, though, and haven't since about 2007 or 2008. I'd like to do the package again sometime, but definitely not during M&S week...that was horrible. The past couple years I have just been driving up for the day once or twice a year, and drive home when the day's over.

The only decent SLC I have ridden was the Great Nor Easter at Morey's Piers because of the better OTSRs. I'm usually good after one ride on all other SLCs. BTRs I can ride all day.

BC2 requires balanced and well-rounded teams, and good strategy. Unfortunately a lot of the people you run into online aren't going to care about this, and you'll have teams where every player is using the Sniper class. Your team will lose and your performance will suffer if that's the case.

I was thinking this also. I am confused by the original poster's statements: and As said, FR goes 149 MPH, whereas KK goes 128 MPH. As far as I'm concerned, that's pretty much the definition of shattering a record (whether there are trims immediately afterward or not). I know FR has had some downtime, but probably no more than TTD during it's first few opening years...unless I'm missing something.

He has a tendency to show his skill on one shift, and then vanish for an entire period. He's a washed up one dimensional player IMO. But, you gave up nothing for him, and you can use all the players you can get at this point I guess. He had a decent game against the Canes. The Penguins had a ton of good chances, but Ward was just playing out of his mind.

My opinion on the Beast is that it's insanely awesome at night, but during the day it's only a one-and-done for me. Assuming the TG treatment turns out great, I really wouldn't mind if it received it, but if it didn't that'd be alright too. I think if anything, I'd rather see the SOB situation sorted out (whether that means reopening it or removing it), before the Beast gets any extra special attention.

I see what you're saying, but I don't necessarily think the "of 2010" part is that literal. It's just an annually updated poll with the "new for *insert year here*" coasters added into the mix. If people don't think they should belong, then they won't vote for them. Coasters like Aska have given people such great experiences and fond memories, that they believe it's more than worthy to be included into the mix.

...No...No...NO... I already HATE Avatar...And now the biggest disappointment of a movie I've seen is replacing...The most storied attraction I've been on in Universal... I understand that there's a new age of fans coming, but you NEED to preserve the older attractions! You lose half of the demographic that way! Unfortunately, Universal has a habit of replace rather than add...look at USH.. ET to Mummy, Backdraft & Special Effects to Transformers and other attractions over the years have gone the same way... T2 the movie is 20 years old now and it's probably time to move on to the 'new' thing. It more than ran it's course.

Although Predator was probably never a top-tier coaster to begin with, I thought the Voyage trains still improved it a lot. Definitely an underrated coaster in my book.

I'd say so. It has a whole land themed around it, a nice build-up to it (the ride is distanced from all the others), nice natural plants, a better theme than TTD (let's theme it after Dragsters! Cause, you know, both go fast, huh?), a nice soundtrack in the station and around the ride (Eye of the Tiger, get it?), and the ride used to have a really nice que (before the attack of the cable). TTD is nice and does have better restrainsts, but its theme is not as good in my eyes. However, theming doesn't make a wild mouse great, and many great hypers do fine without any theme. One thing I dislike about KK is the fact that you basically just sit there in silence before launch. The engine sounds and 'Christmas tree lights' on TTD are really cool, and definitely heighten the experience, albeit being just a small touch.

I'm curious how long the "New" part of the sign will stay there. I wonder if it will eventually be removed 5-10 years down the road.
