  1. lol "Random Crap 1" "Random Crap 2"
  2. Heh, I cheated and looked online so no one would die.
  3. I know, we left ECB early because I wasn't feeling good, and walking down that path it felt so... weird. Almost creepy since we were alone. In upcoming years I would actually like to see a giant Huss Frisbee or another big flat ride like that. But in the meantime get at least something to fill that empty spot. I totally agree with you. Heh, same here. I was walking there and was worried I had gone off course onto a maintenance road or something, lol. I didn't realize the shooting dark ride existed until the end of the day.
  4. Never gets old!
  5. Posted to KI's Facebook with the caption "Hmmm...."
  6. What if the Hokey Pokey is really what it's all about?
  7. It's called the 'Gulf Coast' just like the East is sometimes called the 'Atlantic Coast' and the West is sometimes called the 'Pacific Coast.' What if someone died in their living room?
  8. Very true points...maybe the NBA game was sort of like a test run for this year, which didn't go so well.
  9. He said "they aren't going to open for one weekend" when in fact they did last year. I assumed he missed the part of my post that indicated that. My point is, the fact that it is their off season didn't deter them from opening on the weekend of the 14th last year for a much smaller scale event. I did also look at their calender thinking they were a year-round park (at least on weekends), but was surprised when I saw they weren't.
  10. Since there's no official SFOT thread, I'll just ask this here. Why isn't SFOT open Super Bowl weekend? Wouldn't they be losing out on a lot of revenue from people looking for something to do on the days leading up to it? It's supposed to be 50-60 degrees on the weekend, which isn't incredibly cold, but they did open for NBA All-Star weekend last year, which was around the same time. I ask because I have friends going to the game, but are heading down on Thursday, and looking for things to do. Since they will be staying within walking distance, I said why not Six Flags? But I just looked on their site and saw they're closed. Unless it's because of some kind of possible security issue, it doesn't make sense to me, especially considering they went out of their way last year to open for an event significantly smaller than the Super Bowl.
  11. True. My guess regarding that is because that was back in 1977/1978 when there weren't that many different coaster types. People were going to be riding the same, or very similar, types of coasters anyway whether they were right next to each other or across the park. It wasn't uncommon back then...take CCMR, Gemini, and Magnum at Cedar Point for example. There weren't many options out there at the time, so each coaster is pretty much just a beefier version of it's predecessor.
  12. Interesting observation. Metals do shrink in cold and the ground also shifts in the winter...fairly considerably too. I'm guessing you were right and that is the cause. There is always a gap there due to that section being able to transfer trains to and from storage, but it doesn't ever seem to be that large in the summer, as you can see from this picture.
  13. I was thinking the same thing. It might not be as far-fetched as people think for this to turn up at CP. I don't think it will, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did, is what I'm trying to say. Two inverted shuttle coasters right next to each other?
  14. I'll trade you. I'm tired of having to plow my way into parking lots every day. My college is anal, they never cancel classes. They didn't even cancel when we got all that snow last February (3-4 feet). That being said, however, I have never been to a park when there's snow on the ground, so I'll have to do that someday.
  15. I bet she was thinking of MF. I had the same exact conversation with one of my friends a year or two ago. He kept calling Millennium, 'Superman.'
  16. The trouble with Battlefield, though is there isn't enough of a variety of maps, for one, and secondly people rarely ever work together. There are always too many snipers, too many medics, etc. Socom is as tactical as you're going to get when it comes to shooters. I can't wait for Socom 4.
  17. Woo! My first submission ever! Here are my top ten. 1. El Toro 2. Voyage 3. Ravine Flyer II 4. Thunderbolt 5. Jack Rabbit 6. Legend 7. Blue Streak (CLP) 8. Lightning Racer - L 9. Lightning Racer - T 10. Tremors
  18. Aww man. For my first time I thought I had a clear one because I dropped it in the perfect spot, but I didn't get it. Oh well, hopefully I'll have better luck next time.
  19. How did you jump ahead of me, I still have 126 to go?? I got in line at about 3:30 EDT and there were a good 200+ people in front of me. Weird.
  20. The Metrodome roof could take 5-6 months to repair. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6041784
  21. Cool pics! I went to SFMM in June of 2006, so this was around the same time I was there as well! As much as people disliked Psyclone, I still wish I had ridden it. When it was getting close to closing on the day I went, the only two coasters I hadn't ridden yet at that point were Psyclone and Riddlers. Choosing Riddlers was a no-brainer at the time, though.
  22. Cool pics! I'd like to go to the Staples Center some day.
