  1. In other news, Jordan Staal will play in the Winter Classic. I'm glad to see him back, but I wish he could have waited one more game. Now a player who has played all year isn't going to get to play in the Winter Classic, which isn't right in my opinion.
  2. EDIT: I guess some people are too sensitive.
  3. Wasn't it only about a month ago when the Caps lost 5-0 to the last place Devils? Not to mention the 7-0 shellacking they took against the Rangers a little over 2 weeks ago.
  4. Too bad Pronger and Datsyuk both went down for an extended period. Would have been one hell of a matchup in Detroit.
  5. Who cares what people use? I paid $60 for the game, I'll use whatever the hell I want.
  6. Adding on to that after a night at my aunt's house...about $150 in Best Buy gift cards, and $40 in Dicks Sporting Goods gift cards. I was the runner-up in the annual family Wii Bowling tourney of 12 people. I won my money back, but my 12 year old cousin is the one that beat me and won the pot of cash.
  7. NBA 2K11 for Xbox 360 NHL 11 for Xbox 360 Fable III Donkey Kong Country Returns Pittsburgh Penguins hoodie A bunch of Blu-Rays Money Still more to come from relatives when I go to my aunt's house this afternoon.
  8. I rode it once back in 2004, and I honestly remember barely anything from that ride. I vaguely remember passing by some village houses, and the drop over the water, but that's about it. Mustn't have been that great.
  9. I didn't see it because I was at the Steelers game, but from what I heard the Caps caught quite a few lucky breaks. From Malkin missing a penalty shot, to Goligoski turning it over on a PP, to Sid getting mauled on a breakaway and nothing being called.
  10. I'm talking about a playoff series. Random regular season wins mean barely anything. The playoffs are a completely different game than the regular season, just ask the Capitals and Sharks.
  11. I don't see anyone in that division having a legitimate shot at making any noise in the playoffs, aside from Washington (and even that's pushing it at this point). There's no way Atlanta or Tampa can compete in a playoff series with Philly, Pittsburgh, Vancouver, Detroit, Montreal, NYR, or even Boston. I'd put all of those teams ahead of them at this point.
  12. Chris Pronger is out 4-6 weeks with a broken bone in his foot.
  13. Sorry it took so long to reply again, but I've been studying/taking finals as well. I can now edit with no problem...looks like fixing the case-sensitive thing did the trick.
  14. I'm on the screen immediately after clicking on "Manage My Files." Nothing happens when I click on Edit, right next to Delete. It doesn't go to a new screen, no window pops up, just flat out nothing happens when I click on it. I've tried in Chrome, FF, and IE. All the same. EDIT: The same problem as this user had, a few pages back. I don't think it's necessarily a new sorting option. I'm not talking about adding a whole new column or anything, but rather the fact that if you sort the files by a certain game, one would think that clicking on "Rank" would then sort out those already filtered files by their ranking, instead of taking you back to every file ever uploaded. I am able to change my rating on either of my 2 files as many times as I wish. EDIT 2: Found something else. I cannot delete my own files either. I click Delete, then the box pops up asking me if I'm sure, I click Ok, the box goes away, but my file is still there.
  15. A couple things. -Whenever I click Edit under "Manage My Files," nothing happens. -I wish I could search for a particular coaster, and/or sort them by rank, after sorting them by game. For example, say I want to sort out the top rated No Limits files. When I sort them to NL only files, then click on "Rank," it gets rid of the NL filter and sorts all of the files by rank instead. Also, there is no search bar after you sort the files by game. -This is just my opinion, but I think it would be better if you couldn't rate your own files.
  16. Like I've said, this is probably the best chance, statistically, they are going to have at a Cup for a while. They're shooting themselves in the foot and just don't seem like they want to win at all. At the same time, they aren't really presenting a great case to Semin on why he should stay in Washington. If this keeps up he might start counting down the days until July 1st. Works for me though!
  17. Is coming? I don't know what you've been watching, but it already came and went. Barring injury, there's no reason the Penguins' play can't continue throughout the rest of the season, considering the new signings are finally accustomed with Bylsma's system, and they have been playing playoff-style hockey since mid-November. I know as a Caps fan you're used to teams coming back down to earth after a while and not finishing the job, but when you're a legitimate Stanley Cup contender, that's not always the case. There's a difference between teams winning games because they're "hot" (Sharks, Capitals), and teams winning games because they're actually contenders (Red Wings, Penguins).
  18. Wow, Caps get blanked by Florida...ouch.
  19. Gift card to someone's favorite park (if offered) are great also.
  20. Pretty sure they are. I remember those. They may not be under your name.....which will have to be changed if that's the case. I looked through every page and they're not there.
  21. I realize that, but my point was to not just stop there. Looking at basically every major ride reveal, there are always some sort of concept videos/pictures that are entirely animation to go along with the announcement. In my opinion, something like that is what catches people's attention more (or the biggest names in the industry wouldn't constantly be using them), and really adds the "wow factor" to whatever it is they're revealing. Don't get me wrong, his model and presentation were both excellent, it's just that I could see a lot of people simply thinking of it as "cute," and not taking him as serious as he would like. I would think that the big names in the industry use expensive animations like those (which are usually done by an outside party) simply because they can afford to, and because its more catching to the public(!) eye. I think if he presented all of the necessary drawings to a real ride engineer or developer, it would speak volumes more than a flashy rendering. Perhaps the fact that he was "missed by a large portion of his target audience," means that something more flashy is needed? After all, he can't present those drawings if he doesn't even catch their eye in the first place. Those drawings are great! Regarding the physical model, makes sense, I wouldn't have done it differently. I was simply suggesting to not stop and just leave it at that, but to instead keep pushing! As I'm sure you are. Sure it's not cheap, but you have to spend money to make money...as they say...or also no risk, no reward. That's why I posted those examples, you never know who you might come across that could help you out with something like that. Networking is key in almost everything you do in life.

  23. Point is, there is no practical way. The best thing to do is film it in slow motion. Looks great. I'll try to find a friend with a camera that does that. The speed debate is nothing new. The technology the model demonstrates is. You could create some sort of computer model. Those programs tend to be fairly expensive, but there are many people around here, and other sites, that are very good with things like that. You could contact one of them to possibly help you out. Here's one example, and here'a another. Only two of many. At any rate, I'm glad I'm not the only one who daydreams about new coaster designs. I'm just too lazy to do anything about it. Your creation looks great, and I hope to ride it someday!
