  1. Wow, that's awesome! Can't wait until there's an enormous database of great coasters! None of mine are uploaded yet, so to make it easier, here are all of my uploaded NL creations. Turbo P-51 Mustang Spartan Conny Land Cobra Swamp Thing Giant
  2. I was at that game and there were easily, EASILY 10,000 Penguin fans there...probably more. You know it's bad when you're at home and chants such as, "MAAAAAAAAAAASSOOOOOOOOON, MAAAAAAAAASSOOOOOOOOON" and "Go home Jackets!" break out.
  3. Injuries happen, they're professional players that get paid to adjust and deal with adversity. The Penguins have the best record in the league without Jordan Staal, and have been without Malkin the past 2 games (one of which they won 7-2). There's no doubt in my mind that if the Capitals lost two out of their top three players (Ov/Semin/Backstrom) for an extended period, they'd go right down the tubes...fast. Perhaps getting rid of Fleischmann's grit wasn't such a great move.
  4. Yep, that's 3 in a row now, and their powerplay is starting to go a bit stale.
  5. Big win for the Steelers, and statement win for the Pats. The Jets aren't that bad, though. I think if they played them again (i.e. in January) it would be a much closer game.
  6. ^ There was supposed to be a third game for Xbox 360 and PS3, but it got delayed...perhaps even cancelled. Not sure why.
  7. Colorado trades stay at home D-man Hannan to Washington for forward Fleischmann. Good move for them, I guess. As I said, with the possibility of Semin not returning next year, it seems as though Washington realizes this might be their best chance at a Cup. I doubt Fleischmann was coming back after the end of the season anyway, so might as well trade him to fill a gap on your team. Washington knows they aren't going to beat Philly, Montreal, and Pittsburgh by outscoring them 6-5, so might as well get a stay at home D-man for yourself.
  8. LA is going to be a very serious threat to the Capitals being able to keep Semin. Yep, they and many other teams. If anything, the fact that he is close to Crosby and Stamkos in goals only makes his departure even more probable. Semin is only making $6m right now, and I'll bet he's going to want at least $7m-$9m come July 1st, and there are PLENTY of teams out there looking for a franchise guy like him that are more than willing to pay him what he wants (LA and Toronto immediately come to mind). If Washington does keep Semin, then they will probably lose a few of the players I mentioned above, and I highly doubt they'll be able to keep Green when he's up in 2 years, as he'll want $6m-$8m (only makes $5m now). It's all going to depend on the new CBA a couple years from now, though. The only way I see Semin staying at a similar cap hit is with a front-heavy contract.
  9. ^ They are definitely playing different this year than last year. I figured they weren't going to make much noise in the playoffs last year because most of their wins all year were high-scoring, where they'd win like 5-4, 6-5, etc. Now that they are playing defense, they might actually have something. Still going to be tough with the way the Flyers and Penguins are playing, though. In my opinion, this year is "do-or-die" for Washington, because there's a very good chance they'll lose Semin to free agency after this year...not to mention Fleischmann, Laich, Bradley, Alzner, Erskine, and Varlamov are all up as well, with Mike Green being up the year after.
  10. I never understood the logic behind that. I go shopping on BF, as I posted before, but going at 8:00am is plenty early for me. Those people who "camp out" could just get a job at McDonalds or something for 5 days and make more money than they're going to save...
  11. I love how the Penguins are playing right now. They are playing playoff hockey in November. Their play reminds me of the two Detroit teams they faced in the finals. They are just completely suffocating on defense. 1st in PK (have killed like 27 straight or something), and fluctuating between the top 1-5 in shots against and goals against per game. It took a little bit, but Michalek and Martin have finally gotten well accustomed with the system. I also can't wait until Staal returns.
  12. My Black Friday haul from various stores: Games (Xbox 360) NHL 11 - $34.99 (got lucky, Best Buy had none left, and as I was checking out there was one copy lying on some random table) Fable III - $39.99 Blu-Rays Taken - $9.99 Book of Eli - $12.99 Boondock Saints II - $9.99 Predators - $9.99 Expendables - $19.99 Misc. 8GB Flash Drive - $14.00 1.5TB External HDD - $70.00
  13. I prefer Chrome. It's faster than any browser I have ever used (although I've heard the new Opera browser is now faster...I've yet to try it), and has yet to give me a single problem after using it for over a year and a half now. The only downfall is that there are still a lot of things out there that aren't compatible with it yet (i.e. various forum features on sites...Xbox's forums come to mind, my University's online data storage system, only to name a couple). When it comes to compatibility, IE is no doubt number one.
  14. ^ I agree. I stopped using IE years ago. It's such a horrible and slow browser that creates so many unnecessary problems, in my opinion.
  15. If I'm not mistaken, Infinity Ward teamed up with Bungie and both are now working on different projects. But there is still a Modern Warfare 3 rumored, so who knows.
  16. Whomever made the schedule is ridiculous. The Penguins played the Flyers 3 times within the first month of the season, but from Oct. 30 to March 23, they only play each other once. Then in late March they play twice within 5 days. Really? Also, the Penguins have to wait until Dec. 23 to play the Caps for the first time, then they obviously play again a little over a week later in the Winter Classic. Couldn't they spread things around a bit more?
  17. New patch came out for Black Ops fixing the matchmaking, breaking up parties, and a few other things. Countless times my party got disconnected and couldn't join games. Finally that's fixed.
  18. I hear you. My aunt moved recently (well, in the summer), and I found a Nintendo while cleaning out her house. She let me have it, so I have been buying a ton of old games for it. Luckily there's a mom and pop game store near me that sells games for practically every mainstream console in every generation.
  19. Yep, to win on team deathmatch, you can't just run around aimlessly with akimbo models, or a .50 cal sniper quickscoping anymore, you actually have to think and have a strategy...which is what shooting games should be. One other thing I noticed about Black Ops is that NONE of the maps are sniper-friendly. They are all giant mazes that are mostly close-quarters. I love that. I always sucked at sniping and HATED being constantly pinned down in some shooters, while the "snipers" sit in their little bubbles easily picking people off. The only game I have played that had balanced sniping with assault-style of play was Socom 2.
  20. A lot of people don't like it because it actually takes skill to be successful instead of just taking advantage of some exploit. It's sad really. Have we really gotten to the point where so many people don't have that skill anymore, so when an exploit tailored to their needs isn't in the game, they whine and say the entire game is bad?
  21. Case in point, the struggling Penguins blow out the 2 teams under the Capitals in their last 2 games, outscoring them 9-3. Fleury was in net for both games also. Just goes to show how incredibly awesome that division is.
  22. I hate that Capitals fans are extremely arrogant, but when they lose, most of them are nowhere to be found. What you're doing is talking sh*t, I'm just stating fact. There's a difference. I'm all for friendly trash-talking when it's just all in good fun, but what kind of response did you honestly expect after saying things like Crysby and Pissburgh? Seriously.
  23. How many Stanley Cups do you have again? Oh yeah, that's right. Penguins - 3, Capitals - 0. Crosby - 1, Ovechkin - 0. Washington Capitals, weakest division in the NHL. Have an inflated point value every year because of that, but come playoff time when they actually play real teams regularly, they get trounced and embarrassed. What a joke.
  24. The new Medal of Honor is set in 2002.
  25. Sure there are terrorists, but none of the online factions are the taliban.
