  1. Sounds like at least involuntary manslaughter. Then the civil suits against the company will likely put them out of business.

  2. Wow, what?? Yeah that is at best a grave error and at worst, purposefully doing so someone can ride who shouldn't for safety reasons IDK how that wont end up with some valid lawsuits.

  3. So... someone's going to jail for this, right? We don't yet know exactly why the proxy switch was adjusted, but if it turns out that it was an intentional decision by the park... that's criminal negligence in my book. Not just being reckless, but doing so intentionally. Not making a reckless mistake, making a reckless decision.

  4. Man, I knew something was weird when the ride ops were claiming the safe lights were on after seeing the height of that restraint, but this is just criminal and mindblowingly dumb. Anything to make a buck.

  5. If true it is absolutely incredible that Slingshot would make aftermarket adjustments to a specifically designed safety feature, but I guess it answers one of my main questions which was how can a brand new ride can operate with restraints in an unsafe position. Here's the current accident investigation report which goes into pretty granular detail: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7oss0c7w8d2i3h1/AAAeOaAs6_wBQgp_jZO34ilha?dl=0&preview=Quest+Engineering+and+Failure+Analysis+Field+Investigation+Report.pdf

  6. It is more sized towards children but there are so many death-trap contraptions there that you won't find in the US. They have self-operated boat-jumping into malaria lake. They have a self-operated weird squirrel-cage thing that you flip over and over slowly while it goes in a circle. They have self-operated zip lines over malaria river. They have self-operated pirate ship swings. There's a whole playground-centric portion full of metal death that you need to try everything. Don't do what I did, though, and climb into one of the contraptions with friends around. I got bum-rushed while on a spinny-tilty thing, like ten TPR members all started spinning the thing faster and faster while I was on the inside. It was awesome!!!! Seriously, watch this video. That's my unlucky ass in the thumbnail -

  7. ^Yeah, they're definitely made at home. Take half of a toasted English Muffin, top as you please, bake for at least 10 minutes at 350F (I think mine were in the oven for at least 20 minutes). The idea allows each member to make their ideal pizzas because no one likes their pizza the exact same way.

  8. ....Yes? Not sure the intention here, feels weirdly aggressive/judgy/sounding like a did something weird/wrong? Not quite sure what you're getting at, but yes, I do like those S&S free spins but ya know they are clones...done one (which I have multiple times) you've done em all. Twisted Timbers, I305, Dominator are unique and obviously better. Those are priority, Tumbili was there so I did it but I don't think it's weird to say I prefer/prioritize the RMC, IntaGiga and big B&M over it lol You do you but is there some rule you are supposed to do the newest first and go in order or something? lmao

  9. Iron Gwazi last Tuesday. Still as good as ever and it feels wrong to have this coaster at my home park.

  10. I predict Xcalibur will open June 28th. and Freeze on November 13th. These guesses are just as valid as any other guesses you'll hear, because the park has announced nothing.

  11. Not looking good for the Slingshot Group. https://www.clickorlando.com/news/local/2022/04/18/watch-live-at-130-pm-florida-officials-provide-update-on-orlando-drop-tower-death-investigation/ "Orlando drop tower operator adjusted sensors in seat teen fell from, making ride unsafe, report shows."

  12. Parking for the hotel is across the street from the Berlin entrance I believe. And yes you go to the hotel to check in and they will give you the park tickets, (you can leave your luggage in their luggage-room) Then you come back later for the room keys as the rooms are not ready until 15:00.

  13. I was at the park last Friday too and it was my first time back in over 10 years. I feel pretty much the same as you regarding the coasters. I liked Pantheon a lot but I think I expected more from it. I also only got 1 ride due to the downtime, so I may have a higher opinion if I got to ride a few more times and really experience it. The B&Ms were running great and are still the stars of the park. Griffon is definitely my favorite dive coaster and Apollo is still a top tier hyper. Alpengeist is so forceful and has such a great layout. Loch Ness is running really well for its age and I still love those interlocking loops. But I have to say, Verbolten was the suprise of the day! It's such a ridiculously fun coaster and the drop track really scared my kids (I kept it a surprise for them). We ended up riding it 4 times since we liked it so much. Overall it was a great visit and the park is just as beautiful and well maintained as I remembered it.

  14. Usually the park looks at July and August as summer months and has additional opening time. This means Sunday till Friday 10:00 A.M. till 8:00 P.M. and Saturdays 10:00 A.M. till 11:00 P.M. That's how things have been for the last couple of years.
