MrRC Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Link to my new site about Vekoma testing : All the info and pictures
spinning man Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 The thing that comes to mind after seeing these photos is this recent post Vekoma posted on their facebook page about the next generation looping coaster. Though I wonder if they developed a new train design which will be the reasoning behind this test.
MrRC Posted July 30, 2016 Author Posted July 30, 2016 (edited) Possible this is the same coaster : called Bermuda Blitz. Confirmed : not this coaster. Edited August 4, 2016 by MrRC

Midgetman82 Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Are these new-line Vekoma's being designed by Ride Centerline? The layout looks very similar to something they would likely do.
MrRC Posted August 1, 2016 Author Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) We will see during the construction progress what will be build and tested. I will keep u updated with pictures whenever is needed. More pictures : here Edited December 17, 2017 by MrRC

Superbatboy Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I wonder who will buy this prototype when they're done testing
MrRC Posted August 2, 2016 Author Posted August 2, 2016 I wonder who will buy this prototype when they're done testing Depends on what kind of type, either a Junior Flying or Junior Inverted. I guess they all ready sold this coaster cozz of the supports they use.
DoinItForTheFame Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I wonder who will buy this prototype when they're done testing Cedar Point. It's going to take Shoot The Rapids place.
JordyC Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I wonder who will buy this prototype when they're done testing Cedar Point. It's going to take Shoot The Rapids place. I am with you on this one

Rill'o'beily Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Maybe they're bringing the swinging/suspended back?
Geauga Dog Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 ^Would love to see a return of the suspended swinging coasters. That track looks interesting in its shaping, i.e. no spine like the old Vekoma track had.

grsupercity Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 ^Would love to see a return of the suspended swinging coasters. That track looks interesting in its shaping, i.e. no spine like the old Vekoma track had. A lot of the newer Vekoma styles have a square lift hill then spined track with outside rails similar to premier.

At first I thought it was a new track style, but it looks similar to what is found on the current family suspended coasters. RyanTPM Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Well it's certainly some sort of suspended coaster that's for sure, maybe a new generation flyer?
MrRC Posted August 4, 2016 Author Posted August 4, 2016 Either a Junior Flying or Junior Inverted. Can tell if the the track is in place.
Geauga Dog Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Thanks for the clarification grsupercity, A.J. and viking86. So I guess the square tracks are solely for the tire driven lifts only or does anyone think this will be something unique - LSMs since this appears to be some sort of prototype?
Sneaky Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 ^This track style (or at least a very similar one) are also being used on the LSM sections of the Energylandia launch coaster and Battlestar Galactica, and also on the chain lifts of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Bandit Bomber. Thanks for keeping us up-to-date, MrRC. I'm curious to see what this turns out to be.
