How often is the southern gate open? And does it ever open early enough for ERT? It is a lot closer to Copperhead Strike. I went six times last year and I never even checked to see if it was open.

I've been to the park maybe 10 times. The only day that the lot looked slightly busy was my first time there which was the day Thunder Run closed and that was the only time I've ever seen the South gate open. I assume they only use it on super busy days

Used it last year to enter the park at opening time on a day I wouldn't consider "busy".

I'm going to call a couple days before to see if they're planning on using the South Entrance on season pass night and/or Opening Weekend.

Did the park announce they were removing their river rapids ride? I just noticed the giant void on the 2019 map where it once stood.

Curious where you're viewing the 2019 map.

On their socials.

Getting rid of the rapids ride gives a lot of room for a great ride. GCI maybe? But, that being said a park in a state as hot as the Carolinas shouldn't be without a water ride IMHO. But we shall see.

It's not gone . . . at least in its current form. It's just sitting and waiting on "confirmation".
"B&M will NEVER build a coaster over 300 ft..." until 2012
"Cedar Fair will NEVER build a coaster taller than MF..." until 2015

I think Intamin should make a donkey!
