Casino Pier (Seaside Heights) Discussion Thread

Recommended Posts

Never have in fact. And not sure I get it either?

Not sure I want to honestly?

Exciting to see this going up. Monster at Adventureland is incredible, and even though this is a smaller version, it could easily be the best coaster on the New Jersey shore.

Nah, Great White is a thing so it wouldn't. And when Gale Force opens in 2020 it might also be better, and if the Great Nor'easter thing goes well, it might beat the new ride too. And also it's a Eurofighter, not an Infinity. It will be solid at the very least, though. It's fantastic to see how fast it's going up!

After seeing what happened to Star Jet, I have to admit that I'm quite pleased with the new location of the pirate coaster at the very end of the pier.

Savage.

Do we know what the big square hole in the middle of the pier is going to be? I'm too lazy to go back and look. Ferris Wheel?

Maybe we can just sneak in one night and give it a good push.

Yea, it's scheduled to be a 131ft tall Ferris wheel.

I decided to take a stroll down memory lane and read back through this thread. Glad to see this place finally start to bounce back after the one-two punch of Sandy and the boardwalk fire. Here's hoping the Seaside Park portion of the boardwalk begins to redevelop soon.

Looks like my wishes are coming true! An article released today details the redevelopment plans for the southern tier of the boardwalk!

New Three Brothers Pizza, 7 Buildings Coming to South End of Boardwalk

More than three years after a fire decimated the south end of the Seaside Heights boardwalk, there is a light at the end of the long tunnel of planning and rebuilding.

A total of seven buildings are under construction at the very south end of the boardwalk, near its border with Seaside Park, said Seaside Heights Councilman Mike Carbone.

The most visible building under construction at the moment is a sizable concrete structure which is being built by Osvaldo “Ozzie” Santoro, owner of Three Brothers Pizza. That business will open there, and will be adjacent to a Silver Apple Surf Shop, which will open a boardwalk location.

“They’re going to be putting in a Silver Apple, and then they have another building in the middle they’re looking to put [up], and they’re trying to find a tenant,” said Carbone.

Those buildings will be located on the land side of the boardwalk. The middle stand will be located in the middle of the boardwalk, similar to the positioning of Midway.

Several more buildings are under construction on the ocean side of the boardwalk, Carbone said, including a restroom facility in the southernmost space and retail or game stands next to it.

In all, seven buildings are planned and under construction.
