How often do you visit a theme park?

How many times do you visit a theme park a year, just wondering if i'm mad or this is normal, i visit (i think, i dont count) a park (not all the same) atleast 12 times a year, in the UK all are closed through winter so its often more than once a month in the open season. I live a few hundred miles from the nearest reasonable park.

 

Do not include a few days at a park as more than one visit.

My home park (Six Flags New England) is about 100 miles (an hour and a half) from my hometown.

 

I visit about once every two weeks... less when I visit other parks. The reason why I visit SFNE so often? (see avatar)

 

Here is what we're looking at for visits this year.

I have ecumulated a collecton of theme park passes to Disneyland adn DCA, SFMM, and Knotts. And, this is sad, ther are renewed evey year an have been for the past four years. So seeing as I have an over abundance of parks to go to it is not quite as bad that I try and go at least twice a month to a park, and that really in the very least!

Thats a long way for your nearest Coaster fix, my closest is actually nearer 100 miles away so not so bad.

 

When you get a Pass its difficult to go back to normal customer, its often much easier and faster to get in with a Pass, plus paying for a single ticket means its much more hectic, trying to get as much done in a single day as possible, with a Pass its much easier to relax and not worry you have not got your moneys worth that day.

Usually, I only visit a park once a year. Hence the lame coaster count of 44.

 

In 2003, I visited Martin's Fantasy Island once.

 

In 2004, I visited MFI once, and SFl Darien Lake once.

 

In 2005, I visited SFDL once, and Paramount Canada's Wonderland once.

 

This year I will be visiting around 20 different parks...

Depending on the year, it's usually anywhere from 8 to 12 visits.

Of real theme parks, 3 -5 visits a year (usually 1 - 2 visits to Hershey, 1 to Dorney and 1 to Great Adventure and 1 to Morey's). If you count trips to the Ocean City boardwalk parks (very small and only a few coasters none of which are major rides) then it's probably somewhere around 12 visits to parks a year.

i hardly ever visit theme park be cause my closet is like an 8 hour drive a way (somehing like 600km) and the nerest decent park is like a 3 hour flight a way (over 2000 km)

I visit DLR about every weekend, so I can say I go to a theme park more than 30 times in a year. I feel so lucky because all the parks here are open year round, where everywhere else (except for Florida and Japan) the parks are closed. I feel way to spoiled.

I live in South Florida, about 250 miles from the theme park heaven of central Florida.I usually will do about 16-20 seperate visits a year to the Florida parks and 1 or 2 out of state trips( 1-2 weeks each).

 

I'll go to like Cedar point, BGW and other parks in the summer when they're open since this is the time of year I avoid the Florida parks like the plague, just can't deal with the 95 degree heat, sick humidity, daily rain and mobs of people!!So most of those 16-20 trips are between October and May.All these trips add up to a lot of miles on my car, I'm currently looking to replace my 99 Jetta with 210,000 miles.

I have been averaging about 25+ parks a year for the past six years. While I've been in Japan the past three years, I've been a busy boy, having visited more than 50 parks in Japan and about 20 elsewhere.

My nearest park is Hakkejima Sea Paradise, which is about 5 miles from my house. I have only visited it twice. The only parks with repeat visits are Disney, Fuji-Q, LaQua, Arakwa Yuen and Aqua Stadium.

So far this year I have been to SFNE once and Canobie once (I would go to canobie more if they had a seasonpass...)

I dont see a problem with every other weekend, thats ideal i reckon, escpecially if your in a region where parks are not open all year round.

This year I am going to theme parks 9 times, 3 already. All of them were Bush Gardens Europe. I got a 3 day pass there over easter weekend. Parks later this year that I am going to are Canobie Lake Park (twice), Six Flags New England (once), Enka Fair (the winchester town fair twice), and Topsfield fair for my birthday (once).

Wow if i only i could be at a theme park once a week!!

I live about 30 mins away from chessington and an hour away from thorpe park - thats by car and i usually have to get the train so its longer than that

Im hoping that this year i will get to thorpe about 8 times and chessington about 5 times.

I have already been to alton towers once and am also planning on going to phantasialand so overall this year i hope to make about 15 spearate trips to park!!
