Gabri999
How tall it is now? 20m? In Kingda Ka I think that each of the floors have 15m of heigh(15 per 8 floors =120m + triangle top, that is it is like another plant but a little more= 139m) This tower probably will have 6 floors(TTD have 7 and KK have 8..) I think that have 30m..

Gabri999
Stampida re-track: Ferrari Land, second floor finished: I made a montage. The tower in thery will have six floors + top... Original: Montage: Not so crazy has exactly the same height as Huracan Condor
KarlaKoaster
Thanks for the pictures, and for your mockup! Was there any sign of a bigger crane on site as I guess they'll have to think about using that soon? Looks like they're making amazing progress though. After all, it's RMC who's in charge of the vertical construction. They seem to be the best at building coasters in record time... I can't wait to see the tower topped off. KarlaKoaster
RCS, not RMC (I know, I have RMC on the mind too haha) But yes, they're the best at what they do, and specialise in coaster construction so it's great to see the coaster going up so quickly. You're lucky to live in such an amazing city so close to a great resort
oriolat
Damn subconscious mind! I am so craving a RMC in Europe that I am starting to mix acronyms up! Hopefully Stampida? Projektion
^While it would be fun, i think Stampida has a good enough layout as is (after the retracking at least). I'd love for either Coaster Express or Magnus Colossus though to get I-Boxed though. With the expansions coming for Parque Warner, I have fingers crossed. Magnus Colossus would be a great candidate, there is so much potential in that location. Shame the existing ride is so crappy...

Projektion
I didn't realise Parque Warner was expanding! I couldn't see any news on this anywhere else on the forum. It's in spanish, but it's in this article on PAC. It basically says that between 2010 and 2014, the park has gone from having 600.000 annual visitors to 1.6 million and are wanting to open up to an even more international market, similar to PortAventura. It also says that there are expansions currently in progress (including an on site hotel and new attraction) for 2017.
rcjp
^I hadn't realized they had grown that much! I did get the feeling they were getting more people lately (as I even started hearing a lot of people who didn't seem to know the park even existed talking about it) but that's pretty good. I wonder what we can expect in the future. As to stampida: I also like the layout as it is. I only rode it once but it was great fun (not even too rough although that might have been because it was early in the season back then) so I'm fine with a retracking (as long as it doesn't change the ride experience as I mentioned earlier)
cookiex
Parque Warner opened a water park two years ago so that might have something to do with the attendance spike. If I can get to Spain by 2017, I'll definitely go for both Warner and Port Aventura.
Arn'O
When the third floor is completed, we maybe find out, is there a twist coming OR not... More construction photos?
Gabri999
When the third floor is completed, we maybe find out, is there a twist coming OR not... More construction photos? Today I spent by the side of the area, no major developments, another support have added of a few meters but little else. Is not sufficent to know if the coaster will have a twist. But in FITUR the park have this artwork.. PAC If you look carefully you can see the twist Edited January 24, 2016 by Gabri999
WickedCycloneFreak
i wonder if the lsm launch proves to be more reliable than the hydraulic launch for a ride this size if more parks will buy one.

That's fantastic news, I really liked Parque Warner when I visited and am really happy that it is gaining popularity. A hotel should definitely help, particularly as it is a bit out of the city. Regarding PortAventura, thanks for the artwork, I can definitely see a twist. Hopefully it wasn't a case that the artist was just told to copy Kingda Ka or TTD, and honestly the twist on a shorter ride could be even better than on TTD or Kingda Ka. Also, from Screamscape: "While the plan is to allow guests only interested in Ferrari Land to buy admission to just that area through a separate entrance, the land will also be accessible to PortAventura guests through a separate entrance within the main theme park. This is where things are more up in the air, as admission to Ferrari Land may be included to regular PortAventura guests, or they may offer it as a separate small upcharge item." Obviously it's just speculation, but that sounds like a reasonable approach if they really must charge (which I guess is part of the licensing agreement they have with Ferrari)
Projektion
Given how much sorter the coaster will be than TTD or KK, I imagine the 270º twist (if there is one) would have a much stronger snap to it, similar to the Maverick or Intimidator switchbacks. rcjp
^That's what I thought, which makes me really hope there is one unless. . .. . .. there is a trim at the top
Gabri999
^That's what I thought, which makes me really hope there is one unless. . .. . .. there is a trim at the top What is the function of the trim in Kingda Ka?
Projektion
If I recall correctly, it was to allow them to launch the trains faster than they needed so that they minimize potential roll backs. The trim was to slow the trains down again for the drop so they weren't going to fast.
rcjp
^Only they don't really seem to go over the top any faster than TTD
