Honestly they've poured decent money into the park the last few years. 

 

So, who knows. I think good things will happen between now and 2030.

I definitely think the park will receive some type of investment over the next couple of years. It's just a matter of what form that investment will take. And yes, there could definitely be a new coaster coming.

I agree that they have definitely put some time, effort and money into the park; as previously discussed just not so much on the ride front but on infrastructure. Not sexy but necessary and would lead you to believe there are plans to keep the park profitable and working well for the future. I don't think an RMC conversion of the Boss is likely now since they put the money into doing the titan track section, hopefully they add to that. IF we do get a major new attraction I think a small footprint coaster is much more likely. As I said I don't think they made the SDC/SFSTL Coaster Con pick because they know something new will be coming BUT if the park had plans they might be more motivated to have it ready to go by then. Clearly all speculation, maybe nothing will happen, time will tell. 

P.S. - There is an ACE event on Sept 6 and a group ride on the carousel is in the printed itinerary. While those schedules are never concrete it does indicate the park has a fair amount of confidence that it will be operational by then.

P.P.S - Shell bought out the company that originally put in the EV chargers so they are no longer free. Still totally worth it for those traveling from further away that need to charge while in the park. Locals no more free juice but you really didn't need it anyway, lol.

Agree 100%, don't cheap out SFSTL!!!  All the main Valley's need Titan Track.

Gut feeling tells me we will receive a coaster from SFA, probably Firebird.

Also, I hope they install a Drop Tower where Excalibur stood.

Firebird is a solid coaster and would make a fine addition to the park.

Flying Scooters would work in the Excalibur slot too. Or an Air Race. But CGA's Flying Scooters will soon be available.

Please don't make them un-snappable though.

Every Park needs a Drop Tower.   But anything is better than an empty concrete pad.

There are talks that the city of DC want to keep Six Flags America a theme park which might lead to no rides being removed from that city park

I don't think CF is big into the idea of relocating rides anyway. If SFSTL gets a another coaster it will definitely be something new, just not extravagant like a hyper or giga.

Unfortunately (or is it fortunately) the City of DC has no say over anything that happens outside of its city limits, which SFA is by like eight and a half miles.

It looks great! I have some friends that are equestrians more than theme park people that cannot wait to come and check it out.

ACE Heart of America region shared this post on fb and I replied that I was a bit surprised they re-opened it so quietly. Elizabeth Gotway responded  (for those that don't know she has been the marketing director for the park for a long time, although she did not respond with her official title or as a park employee, just her name) that this was just the phase 1 opening and that they would do a big celebration for the phase 2 opening. I have absolutely no idea what the heck that means but thought I would share

There’s definitely still a couple empty slots on the carousel.

I understand that this is a huge pipedream, but SFA's Superman could fit well in this footprint.

The Boxes represent the Helixes.  And No it is not to scale, but there is plenty of wiggle room for it to fit.

The problem is that CF isn't in the habit of relocating rides. Relocating S:ROS would be cost prohibitive. Ride deconstruction alone would cost millions. Plus the cost of clearing the land at SFSTL, and then ride transportation and reconstruction costs. It would make more sense from a financial perspective to simply build a new coaster.

This is closer to the actual scale. The grading on the site will make for interesting footer design or the need to cut or lengthen some supports but yes the 2D fit is there.

 Um, what?  CF has historically had NO issues relocating coasters.  Off the top of my head:

Stealth (CGA)->Nighthawk (CW)
X-Flight (GL)->Firehawk (KI)
Invertigo (CGA)->Stinger(DP)
Dominator (GL)->Dominator(KD)
Head Spin (GL)->Flying Cobras (CW)
Steel Venom (GL)->Possessed (DP)
Thunderhawk (GL)->Thunderhawk (MI)

Most of those were relocations from a park they owned and closed (Geauga Lake) to other parks in the chain.  There is no reason to think that moving a coaster from SFA to any other park is off the table for that reason.  If anything, I'd say it's substantially cheaper to relocate an existing ride, especially given the current tariff situation going on.
