Coasters 4 ever Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I have many home parks, so I like to say it's Knoebel's (so what if it's 30 min. farther than Dorney, I still love it!). The best ride there is Phoenix by far.
major woodie Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I live in St. Louis. Most people like the Boss which has some great drops and an excellent helix, but little to no airtime. Also the upward hills are so tall that the coaster slows considerably and the ride's speed is fairly inconsistent. The double down first drop is insane and the best part of the ride. Mr freeze is great but short, only 20 seconds or so. Batman is just a clone Ninja is slow, but after years of hating and avoiding this ride I've found a new appreciation for it. don't ask why. The screaming Eagle is my fav. When it's running at its peak it's filled with airtime. I think fall is its best season. Fright nights gave me some stellar rides this year and I was able to ride multiple time without getting off just before closing for several weeks in a row.
timberterror Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 It's a tough decision so I'll say both Tremors and Timberterror. The overall airtime is sweet on Timberterror, but the exit out of the gift shop and immediate dive back underground on Tremors is insane.
ShannonSomerville Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 SFA is my home park, the best coaster is SRoS. SES
sirloindude Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Yeah. I live near SFA, and it's SROS for me. Great first drop, some excellent airtime, and that turn off the first drop is one heck of a rush.
Tour2ma Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 All you folks with multiple home parks... My home coaster was the Texas Cyclone at SFAstroworld... I guess that makes me homeless.
coastergeekrtc Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 I have four home parks so I would have to say: Goliath, SFMM Matterhorn, Disneyland California Screamin, California Adventure Xcelerator, Knotts Berry Farm Out of all of these, I would have to say Goliath is the best, even if it doesn't have all the features GOOD GOLIATH has.
Waterpark101 Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 Its a buy between Hydra and Steel Force top ten hyper and inversion before lift (*shrug*) no idea you decide THUNDERHAWK for elderly thrills
WW Goliath Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 My local park is Brean Leisure Park which has no good coasters, just Pinfaris. The best coaster near to me is Megafobia
sbrownttd Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Home park is thorpe park. So Nemesis Inferno is the best ride there. My holiday home is in Sandusky Ohio, so its Cedar Point, there i would say either Top Thrill Dragster or Millennium Force.
Jeff128319 Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 My home park is six flags new england. You do the math.
mightypotato Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 The closest park to me is Paramount Canada's Wonderland. Yeah...weak. My favourite coaster there is the suspended Vortex. I've always liked it, but then again, I have a major fetish for suspended coasters like Vortex and Big Bad Wolf.
verticalzero Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 My Homepark is Thorpe Park (UK) The best coaster is Nemesis Inferno
onewheeled999 Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 My home park is SFMW, and my favorite coaster is Medusa. I've been on all coasters there except V2.
Airtime&Gravity Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Since my home park is SFGAM, I'd have to say Viper. This is the only ride at the park that doesn't get old, and it's the only coaster that gives air time on every ride.
Fry Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 My home park would be Alton Towers. The best there is Rita.
apollo210 Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 My homepark is Canobie Lake Park, I live 30 minutes from that place. Favorite coaster: umm CANOBIE CORKSCREW (jk) In reality its Yankee Cannonball! Favorite flat: Starblaster.
pkdcoaster Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Grizzly! Most people would probably say Volcano but the reality is after many rerides in a row it really loses the thrill plus the layout is extremely reptetive. JEFF
jamesdillaman Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Home park: Paramounts Kings Island Best coaster there: Adventure Express
niiicolaaah Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 I have like a thousand home parks. Martin's Fantasy Island - Silver Comet Marineland - Dragon Mountain Six Flags Darien Lake - S:ROS Paramount Canada's Wonderland - Vortex Very easy decisions, in each case.
