dandaman Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Good thing Derek lasted 'till Canada with the drinking... he was able to meet his final undoing: CANADIAN BEER Yeesh, I'm having flashbacks: Derek Me, 2 months ago Dammit, Derek's more horny than I am...
ChrisZer0 Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Has anyone told derek that he's a spitting image of Adam Sessler from G4?
rabid disney Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Damm after seeing that Mexican girl I think I will go to Mexico instead of the United States next October. I have a question Beer School how much beer per cup do you get and how many countries or beers are there.?
SharkTums Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Beer School is FREE!!!! and they do it like 10 times a day! It's only Sam Adams products, but if you want to pay more there are all kinds of beer tastings and dinners that are fabulous for about $60 a person.
PhishyBrewer Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Very Cool! Can't wait for the Busch pics!
CoasterCrazy88 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Great pics guys! I'm glad you had such a good time. I would really like to ride Test Track. It looks so great! Antonio"Would love to go to Florida"G.
robbalvey Posted November 7, 2005 Author Posted November 7, 2005 I've added the Disney/MGM Studios photos: http://www.themeparkreview.com/orlando2005/halloween/mgm/mgm1.htm Enjoy! --Robb
ChrisZer0 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Nice update El Robb Esp, the pic of the "Worlds Largest Stall". Im guessing you could park a small truck inside that thing right?
Erik Johnson Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Yeah, one reason the queue for Star Tours (Which we all did skip) looks great is that they finished the queue area referb right before summer. The AT-AT looks brand new now....unlike the ride.
ChrisZer0 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I agree that queue looks amazing. I wonder if the rumors are true and they're going to have a refit(reprogram/new digital film) by 2007??
Stitch Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 That AT-AT is intimidating  , cool update and as always I look forward to the next one.
Gnome Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 So between haunt and IOA, whose event was better this year? You said that IOA was "the real deal" so does that mean it was better? Or they just don't need shaker cans to scare you? (if you've already answered this, just put the page # it can be found on)
Guy T. Koepp Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 So between haunt and IOA, whose event was better this year? You said that IOA was "the real deal" so does that mean it was better? Or they just don't need shaker cans to scare you? (if you've already answered this, just put the page # it can be found on) It's like comparing apples to oranges. Two entirely different interpretations of scaring/ entertaining people. I found both to be excellent. Guy "Only 329 days untill October. I better put the decorations up." Koepp
Sketch105 Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 I know I'm late with this, but it was awesome hanging out with all of you during the day at IOA..I miss my "lonley water" picture from Mythos though..How soon you forget your discounts! Anyway, I hope everyone comes down again soon..Looking forward to new trip reports.. I thought this was funny, but the Halloween decorations haven't been taken down fully, yet the Christmas ones are in swing.. No, Elissa..they are not boarding it up.. PS McMonkey McBean is moving forward..so nah nah nah nah nah to all you disbelievers..
JT3000 Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 I have a bad feeling that the driving machines will be the one and only new attraction for 2006. The park will need more than that.
ChrisZer0 Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 IOA appears to be in a "content" phase right now, as its working more on asethetics at the park. Remember, its not only the rides young padawan, its the atmosphere that makes a themepark a destination.
RCoasterny Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Forget the biggest bathroom stall! Look at Robb's Booty!
dandaman Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 I have my picture of the "lost" poster somewhere... did you guys actually go into ABC Commissary (the restaurant where the poster is)? They have a few things from the show in there, too, including Charlie's shoes and an original script... Didn't know Elissa liked the show that much! GO ELISSA!
RctInfinity Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Cool MGM update! I also went in the largest bathroom in the world!
Louise Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 So Robb, did you convince somebody to go into the stall with you to take that photo?! No offense Elissa but I think in that photo of Erik and Leanne you are pulling possibly the least attractive face I've ever seen you do... Hilarious! Great pics as ever guys.
robbalvey Posted November 9, 2005 Author Posted November 9, 2005 So Robb, did you convince somebody to go into the stall with you to take that photo?! Haha! No, actually....it was a real pain in the ass. I had to use the timer mode on the camera and I balanced it on the edge of the mirror that was over the sink and wedged some toilet paper (not used) under the camera to keep it steady! I'm telling you, that stall has everything! --Robb "I'll try to get the BGT photos up tomorrow!" Alvey
Guy T. Koepp Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Robb, I'm sure you have plenty of pics to sort through, but did I already give you my BGT photos? If you need some more, I can send them in a jiffy. Guy "cause I got lotsa photos of the turtles" Koepp

Remember, its not only the rides young padawan, its the atmosphere that makes a themepark a destination. They've been in a "content" phase for 6 years. And considering that the park just looks worse instead of better, I'm certainly not content. They can freshen up the park and add a major attraction at the same time.
