That just reminded me of this:

It's at Flight Deck/Top Gun at CGA.

GP1: This coaster goes over water.

GP2: How is that possible.

Me: Chuckling

Found this:

I can see the sarcasm. The only problem is that its not a roller coaster.

I thought it was funny because it was a slow flat ride.

So when do we get a new rollercoaster and the Little Dipper does not count? I'm talking about a Kingda Ka or a Takabisha. Also, PLEASE bring back the Sky Whirl. Thanks!!!

The fact that they can reference an obscure new ride in Japan is impressive for the GP, but it doesn't make that statement any less head-scratching.

Found this on Youtube...

"There is no looping rollar coasters there used to be 1 but a piece wood snapped and killed some people."

I had to read it a couple times before figuring out that he was talking about SOB. But it didn't kill anyone...

Here are a few things I here at parks a lot from the GP:

"Wow, (Name any really awesome non-inverting coaster here) sucked! It didn't have any loops!"

"(Name any really bad inverting coaster here) was awesome! I love the loops!!"

OMG, when I think of those quotes, this comes to mind:

Today at Great America the kid next to me on Vortex to his friend, "Why is that ride broken? (pointing at Firefall)" the guy next to me's response, "I think the seats fell off." /facepalm

Just in (sort of) from CGA's Facebook in reference to someone's iPad and other electronic goods that were stolen:

ghetto amusement park carneys tell you,you cant take cameras on ride, you put them down where they tell you, then get off the ride and they are stolen,I will pass the word around about this place..and I expect the return of 2 cell phones/digital camera,I am reporting this to the authorities

Well, keep on expecting, buddy! First off, who on earth brings an iPad to an amusement park? Stupid if you ask me. Second, ride operators are not responsible for stolen items...they are responsible for guests safety when operating rides.

As far as what I do, I typically only carry necessities with me. I prefer to bring a smaller camera, not my fancy DSLR camera as I can fit that in my pockets along with my cell phone. Anything I do store in the cubbies are not high value items such as souvenir cup or a hat. Everything else of value remains in my pocket.

This is from a CoasterForce video of Terminator Salvation

" Fun fact, this ride was imported from Six Flags New Orleans. Look up Mega Zeph and you'll see the resemblance"

I was watching a news report of the accident at Darien lake which included interviews of some other GP that was on the ride with him. One interviewer stated, "No one was really secure, I mean like all we had was just the thing that goes over your lap and the ride operators didn't check them that well because you know they were shaking, and loose enough to the point where you know, we were flying out of our seats at some points on the hills".

At Sfgam:

Girl: "Does that one loop?" (Pointing to RB)

Me: " No"

My Friend: "Yeah it does" (After we just went on it)

Me: "Oh really, where? Could you show me"

My Friend: (Looks at track and points to turnaround)

Me: *facepalm*

At Soccer practice:

Kid: "Hey did you hear there building a new rollercoaster at six flags great america?"

Me: "No (This was early June)

Kid: Yeah there taking out American Eagle and building Kingda Ka in its spot"

Me: *facepalms* No there not.

Then him and another person try to convince me that they really are.

*double facepalm*

Also with the new Rumors at Sfgam many people have been putting in there expert opinions such as;

"I hope it's an Interim" (Intamin)

"Iron wolf was going to go for Superman right after the Wizzard"

And the many comments including:

1. Why don't we have rides like Cedar Point!

2. American Eagle can't leave!

3. When are we getting Chang?

I had multiple guests ask me, "What time are the 9:45 fireworks" followed by, "Where are they?"

also had a guest ask me if he had missed the fireworks..

All overheard today:

Line-up for an Enterprise:

"I heard this thing has a 25% chance of failing."

"You fall out when you go upside down."

On a Swinging Ship:

"Someone fell out of this into a lake."

And then they tried the penny trick.

Later in the day, there was a quick power failure on a roller coaster (we were in the station but they wouldn't let us out until the power was back on), and the girl behind me said, "I'm really glad the power didn't fail when we were upside down!" which led to me turning to my sister and explaining physics of a roller coaster.

Funnily enough, these were all teenage girls.

Some guest waited in line for my ride, got up to the loading area, and asked me if I could break a 20. I laughed and told him no, and the rest of the day I put a sign on the turnstile "RIDE OPERATORS CARRY NO CASH".

Funnily enough, these were all teenage girls.

Even more funnily enough, these are the same girls that so many enthusiasts wish they had.

Allowed my travel buddy to buy his own park tickets back in may. The day before we left we printed out his ticket confirmation

Him- "what do you mean? I bought Disneyland tickets?"

Me- "We're going to orlando...Disney World"

Him- "Aren't they the same thing?"
