I've said it everywhere else, will say it here too...awesome video! SUF is definitely one of those strange yet awesome rides! Yes I'm proud to have a crazy machine like this in the area

When the opportunity happens, I'd definitely try out all the different rows...6 being the craziest dosage of airtime, followed by being slammed into your seat in the hardest way possible (which is a good thing)...sudden g-force changes

I was just visiting the Northern California parks last week, then I got home to find TPR videos of the credits I just got. Great video!

As for Superman Ultimate Flight itself, I thought the ride was good but didn't really live up to the hype. Rode twice, tried both the front and back rows, and both times I left thinking "that was fun, but I thought it would be better." Perhaps I'm spoiled by having Xcelerator and Full Throttle at my local parks, or perhaps I just was underwhelmed after waiting over an hour. I'd certainly ride it again, I just wouldn't call it a must ride or travel worthy and still think Medusa is the best coaster in the park.

SFDK locals, I'll be visiting the park sometime in August. I'm having a hard time finding any passholder event info. Magic Mt offers passholder exclusive ride time about once a month. Is SFDK doing anything like that? I might change my trip to take advantage.

Last year, my group stumbled upon a Superman passholder ERT. The same day the park opened Medusa a half hour early to celebrate World Ice Cream Day or something. Anyone could get a wristband if they knew to ask for one at a table in the entry plaza.

The most recent one just passed: "Sunrise with SUPERMAN: On July 20, flash your Season Pass to enjoy exclusive access to SUPERMAN Ultimate Flight and receive a commemorative poster, starting at 9:30 a.m."

The next announcement is July 31st, so the next ERT will most likely be on 8/3 or 8/10. Go to sixflags.com/discoverykingdom and sign up for the newsletter.

Here you go they just announced it:

Go Behind the Scenes of Shark Experience!: On Saturday, August 3 from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., flash your Season Pass to receive a behind the scenes tour of Shark Experience.

Hammerhead Exclusive Ride Time: Flash your Season Pass to enjoy exclusive ride time on Hammerhead from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 3.

The Shark Experience backstage tour is a pretty unique perk, I like that. Hammerhead ERT..eh not so much.

Nice! I'm going to SFDK this Saturday and I'm looking forward to the backstage tour of the Shark Experience.

I have to work so I can't go, I would really appreciate any photos you are able to take (If they even let you take them backstage)

So now that I got the party started over at CGA thread... let's talk Marine World.

What does everyone think next year will bring?

I think we'll probably see a permanent solution to the Toyota Stadium and possibly a small flat... however it'd be nice to finally see the old 4D buildings back in use.

What do you mean by "A permanent solution"? The stadium seems pretty permanent to me, and I think the fact the stage is on the water is pretty cool. I think its fine the way it is, unless your talking about something different regarding the stadium.

It would be great to see the park do something with the 4d building. I personally think it would be really cool to see a tracked dark ride at the park, maybe using the 4d building as queue or part of the ride its self. But its not something I see happening anytime soon.

Toyota Stadium is the former Shouka stadium.

Sorry, but I am probably not going to bring my camera because of the very fluffy bunnies. I usually bring my camera to SFDK if I can have a non-rider hold on to it when I'm on the "bunnies" enforced rides.

I was thinking of something different, sorry.

I went to SFDK 2 days ago and I finally went onto Superman. Superman was a really good coaster, though I don't see it as amazing and it barely makes my top 10 list. It just didn't seem to be as intense as I thought it would be and the hangtime is good, though I believe V2's hangtime is more intense. I went on row 1 and 6, so I experienced the most intense seats. I did like Superman, though I don't think it lived up to the hype.

Also, the park's operations seemed a little bit better than last year's operations. I was able to get onto most of SFDK's major coasters without that much of a wait and this was on an August Saturday.

Toyota/Shouka/Pacific Stadium isn't likely to go anywhere. It's the largest venue at the park and is almost always used for something. I doubt they would tear it down for a flat ride or two.

I agree, though I more meant finding a more permanent show for it since Cirque Dreams will be closing up shop soon. Once Cirque Dreams leaves, I'd assume the regular dolphin show will move back to Hawaiian Airlines Stadium. After that, there is once again no use for Pacific Stadium unless it's going to sit there like Chabot and serve as a shadow of the park that once stood there.

The park once stood for mediocre ski shows?

Personally, I think Dolphin Theater should be returned to a stage theater for traditional style stage productions like it was back in the 90s when it was Showcase Theater; and Pacific Stadium should be the dolphin show location as it's a much better venue for marine animal shows.
