larrygator
Didn't seem like there were alot of people in line for the coaster so maybe that's why it only ran one train. That is not a good excuse on a mobius coaster. Back in 2013 during the TPR visit the lines were pretty long and they did the same thing.
Shockwave
It's real shame when a park with some great looking attractions doesn't do itself justice with poor operations. And the whole point of a racing/duelling rollercoaster is for the trains to DUEL/RACE! It's like buying a pair of shoes and only wearing one shoe when you don't have far to walk. It just looks daft. I305forever
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^( I can't do quotes on my mobile device ) Don't they all have almost exactly the same layout but with different numbers of inversions? robbalvey
Didn't seem like there were alot of people in line for the coaster so maybe that's why it only ran one train. The queue for the ride was completely full. I'm guessing at least an hour wait, maybe more, the way they were operating it. DonGeorge
Earlier this month I thought La Feria seemed really cool and I liked the way everything interacts. I hear the Reverchon mouse spins really crazy at this park. Coincidentally, I was in Tijuana on Saturday building a house.
robbalvey
Today was "culture day" for our Mexico trip. Here's some photos from Mexico City... Yup the "punch buggies" are still alive and well here in Mexico! And so is Blockbuster Video, apparently! lol Saw quite a few of these today... And Kristen was very happy to continue the punch buggy game she started on our 2013 trip! Today's culture day starts off with the famous Teotihuacán pyramids! Our tour guide Sergio explains how the pyramids came to be. He drew a picture of what the tunnel system looks like, but I'm pretty damn sure that's a penis! And so we start the climb to the top... A view from about half-way up. We made it to the top! And so did *most* of the group! Why is going down almost as hard as going up??? This entire city is thought to be built around 100 B.C. - So it's short, it's much older than you and me. Sergio shows us how you can make some cool artwork out of crushing bugs eggs and splattering their blood everywhere. Sound cool? Sure looks pretty! Pyramid Stuff... Inside the pyramids... I found this AWESOME treasure for sale at one of the booths. There are so many things that can be said about it, but I'll just take solace in knowing it will be placed right on my shelf in the TPR office! Lunch included some AWESOME Mexican food! Yum! These dudes played some classic Mexican folk songs like "La Bamaba..." That's a lot of pricks! Taco & Beer! Do you need anything else? Love all the colorful houses all over Mexico City. We are back in the city, checking out some cool buildings and stuff. This is a theater. Tall buildings and some that are leaning and sinking...yes, just like Magnum. Boobs! I see BOOBS!!! This is a post office. It kind of looks like the money exchange place in Diagon Alley. It's old and pretty. Daniel Craig was JUST HERE filming the next James Bond movie! Seriously! Google it! I'm like 99% sure I just witnessed a drug deal between the dude on the left and funny hat guy. More cool looking buildings. Still trying to figure out what's happening on the left hand side with those two dudes. They took us out onto a ledge over Mexico City! Caesar! Don't jump!!! Streets and old buildings. LOTS of people down there! Now THIS is my kind of culture! Buildings and things... This is something old. Oh, good, it's a church, I'm sure I'll be VERY welcome in here! This is giving me flashback nightmares from my catholic upbringing! It's pretty and catholic. Mexican Jesus candles were everywhere. Yo. It's black Jesus. More catholic dudes. I probably would know this guys name if I paid attention in school, but instead I played video games. Apparently this chick is important. Time for dinner and margaritas!!! Yay!!! Everything I know about Mexico I learned from Epcot's Donald Duck Boat Ride! lol

laqueefa
Awesome TR! I'd love to run through Mexico with TPR. Apparently my family owns some water park down there. I'll have to look into that.
GwaziBSRider1
I loved the Culture Day from the 2013 tour, and this one looks even better! I see you didn't take everybody to ride that random Wacky Worm this time around.
robbalvey
^ The trip is not over yet, and we don't always do the exact same things on the exact same day every trip.

robbalvey
Since we were so blown away by Medusa today, and since I took hundreds of photos at Six Flags Mexico which is a lot of sort through, I decided for this update I'd just post some photos of Medusa! Enjoy! Climbing the lift hill you see this...you really don't have an idea of what's about to come next! I love these reverse POV shots! This reverse POV shot gives you an idea of the layout. Coming up... AIRTIME!!! Medusa serves up a perfect mix of twistyness, inversions, and airtime. Everything about this ride seems perfectly paced. It's just beautiful. I mean, look at that! And the airtime is UNREAL! I *love* this shot of the first drop...and the drop is amazing! Would love to see this included in more RMC rides in the future! This photo pretty much sums up our thoughts on the ride! Oh, and Medusa does this to your hair! The ride is just relentless! And oddly enough, with they nylon wheels on the train, it *feels* a lot more like a wood coaster than the RMC conversion projects in Texas do. I know it's consider a steel coaster (as it should be), but it has a different feel to it, and I like that. Backseat POV!!! This ride is worth a trip to Mexico for! It was hard to get good off-ride shots because it's just so damn fast! Looks like some happy faces! Airtime... airtime... and MORE airtme! This drop is just sick! Everyone LOVES Medusa!!! Check out that hairtime in the middle of the train! Seriously just an all-around KICK-ASS coaster! Blew us all away! You need to get to Six Flags Mexico to ride it! ZeroGravity55
It's amazing how much more Alan Schilke was able to do with less height, less speed, and less length. It's also amazing how the ride (from the video's I've seen) never loses the crazy pacing up until the breaks. This makes me much more excited for WC and TC! One day I will get to Mexico to ride Medusa. ^^Aw nice! I guess you were right in your Medusa POV when you said it needs some Rocky Mountain treatment. 95% of wooden roller coasters need some Rocky Mountain treatment! gerstlaueringvar
Gotta go to Mexico! So excited to hear about how great it is. Do you think the negative G is stronger than Outlaw Run, NTaG etc?
