Some of us were talking in the chat room last night and this got brought up. Do you prefer Bob Evans or Cracker Barrel? Me? Why thanks for asking. I much prefer Cracker Barrel over Bob Evans. So which of these "country cooking" chains do you prefer?

Yeah, I've been drinking a lot of slim-fast lately....actually, We don't have Bob Evan's up in New England, but there is a Cracker Barrel near my town along I-91. But the Cracker Barrel I go to, is the Cracker Barrel Pub. It isn't apart of the chain, it's a small resturant/bar with great casual food.

Don (Jeezus Juice), Monica (Don's G/F), John (CreativeForce) and Rebecca (John's wife) can testify about the food there.

Cracker Barrel! The food's better, IMO, the service is better and the portions are bigger. I've never left a CB hungry.

I like the atmosphere and the gift shop as well as the food. In fact, that was the place I found my stuffed Gumby and Pokey.

I have eaten at both, and neither one of them are my kind of place. So I chose neither. I guess if I *HAD* to choose, I guess it would be Cracker Barrel? Actually, I take that back. If I had to choose, I wouldn't care.

It's not that I hate either places, they just aren't one of those places on the top of my list I would eat at.

The only place like this I can think of that I actually would eat at would be Claim Jumper.

Again, I don't eat at either of these but at least you can play table game things at Cracker Barrel...Bob Evans always seemed more on the Denny's level to me. Plus Cracker Barrel had that cool like quadrulple murder near my hometown about 10 years ago!

Actually, I love BOTH!! I would have to say that I like Bob's breakfasts better than CB, but I love dinner more at Cracker Barrel. Their baby carrots are "da bomb"! And I love the gift shop at Cracker Barrel, especially at Christmas.

I voted for CB cause I have also never eaten at Bob Evan's, they never looked like a good place to eat, so we just have always avoided it. I mean come on Cracker Barrel is awesome!

Cracker Barrel hands down. Of course my wife and I only eat there about once a year when we travel. There doesn't seem to be any in California. Although, I'm with Craig, the Craker Barrel Pub in Connecticut is pretty darn tasty!

CB had hashbrown casserole and fried apples on their breakfast menu. I also like their coffee, as it is the "good ol fashion black as night" blend, not the fancy stuff you get at starbucks. Its the type of place that'll jumpstart your batteries on a cold morning

Well, considering we only have cracker barrel here in Albuquerque, you can probably guess my vote

We went there a few weeks ago, and it was pretty good, not blow me out of the water good, but good, with a pretty nice country atmoshere

I remember that Elissa. I grew up in Bonita. Where did you live down in SWFL?

I'm thinking we will be taking a trip up to Chicopee next year to visit my mom. I haven't been to SFNE since I graduated from high school, when it was still Riverside. I'm dying to go and check out how much it has changed.

BTW, I've never been to Cracker Barrell or Bob Evans, so I guess I can't vote.

I don't like either, but..... Up in the northeast, they do sell Bob Evan's baby-link sausage in the grocery, and DAMN, they are the best! I miss those things, I could eat 6-8 with my breakfast!
