Double0Kevin
Togo is by far the worst in my opinion, however I haven't had a chance to ride their rides in Japan or an ultra twister which I hear are far better than say... Manhatten Expres... err The Roller Coaster at New York, New York.
gerstlaueringvar
All knock-off companies! Including Golden Horse, Shibaolai, Zhongye, Jiuhua etc. Â Seriously, if they cannot make something on their own, just simply get the hell out of the amusement industry! They are destroying the whole industry, people started to say that roller coasters(flat rides) are dangerous because of them-- Jiuhua's accident at OCT East is terrible . They are also killing the future of Chinese amusement industry and if the government does nothing to this situation(ONLY the government can control this in a country like China ), China would NEVER has a future on amusement industry! Â Sorry for being aggressive, I just hope they could close down! I'm saying this because I don't want my country to be seen as a knock-off heaven. Â As for the roughness, Gravity Group sadly got my vote for Hades360. Although I know that the park is more responsible for that...
Aceattack52
Vekoma has been getting better over the years, but they are still pretty bad. It seems like they are unable to identify the problems causing their rides to be uncomfortable and rough and for that reason, I don't like Vekoma. rctneil
Several years ago I would have gone for Vekoma but I have ridden a load of really good Vekoma rides so they are nowhere near the worst. Take Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars, the Space Mountain rides (California and Hong Kong), Gravity Max, Big Air, Kumali and i'm sure there are a lot of others too. Â I have to agree that some of their older coasters and the SLC's and boomerangs are not terribly pleasant but they look to be improving immensely. Â I would then have said Togo after Manhattan Express and Shockwave (KD) but after riding several Togo rides in Japan, they actually weren't that bad. Yes, they do look very retro but they were relatively smooth and hardly any headbanging. The Togo standup at Rusutsu, while not rough did seem to have the strange behaviour of the seat riding up and down as the train cycled around. They normally should be locked in placed but this one raised and lowered. Especially visible whilst going around the loop. Â I have to say the Chinese Knock off companies too. Golden Horse, etcetera. The Golden Horse spinners are badly made clones. They hardly spin at all and the fact that you have this stupid annoying shoulder seatbelt and the restraints are locked by a metal chain from the car floor loop up and over a peg on the restraint column also indicate that they didn't even copy it properly! Â This is not to say that all rides in China are bad, far from it! Just the ones built by the knockoff companies.

booink
I've been on only one Togo yet (Skyrider at Canada's Wonderland), and I hated every second of it ! I know they don't have a very good reputation so I definitely go with them. I've never been on any RCCA woodie, but I dislike them for trashing lots of trees in their bad coasters. Just look at Son of Beast; what a waste !
Pyrozooka0
Vekoma may have some good coasters, but they made the worst coaster I have ever been on and the most overhyped without deserving said hype (Carolina Cobra, despite the 2nd gen restraints)
GigaG
CCI...basically 90% of their rides turned to utter crap. Talk about bait and switch. Â I haven't been on many, but Shivering Timbers is a nice ride. Bumpy, but if you sit in a good (non-wheel, I think) seat near the front, it is nice except for a huge bump in the trick track. Also, didn't the PTC trains cause the rides to become bad (and not just CCI, from what I've gathered?) Â For woodies, I know RCCA was hated, but I only went on one coaster of theirs (SoB) and don't have much recollection of it besides it being pretty bumpy, but everybody seems to say that all of them are horrible. Dinn made some kinda bad rides, from what I heard, but Mean Streak isn't horrible as long as you don't sit on a wheel (just boring) and I love Georgia Cyclone (got some good, intense rides on it in the rain once.) Wolverine Wildcat is kinda crappy unless you sit in the right seats (I found that back car, middle row is O.K.) Â For steel coasters, I'd have to say I love to mock Vekoma, but I have more experience with bad Arrows.
rcjp
Has anyone thought of RCCA? I know they don't have a lot of rides but the worst coaster I've ever been on (Coaster Express - Parque warner madrid) is theirs. Just so rough and, from what I've heard, some of their other rides (like SOB) weren't that much better.

cfc
^Exactly. I'd rather ride Carolina Cobra than Ninja in Atlanta or St. Louis. But if the choice were Ninja at SFOG or Boomerang at Knott's, it would be a tougher call.

Geauga Dog
I don't hate any particular company, moreso I hate the parks that purchase their demonic death machines, and perpetuate the misery. Main offenders there would be the former Paramount parks, were executives getting kickbacks from Vekoma and Togo? Â I, too, don't hate any particular company though I think Paramount Parks is a good company to bring up as you had to scratch your head on some of their ride additions during their short tenure in the park industry, especially at Canada's Wonderland, despite the big attendance numbers that parks gets installs a Vekoma SLC and a Zamperla Volare over better options. Â Zamperla makes some great flats but some of their coasters are a bit lackluster. Knott's Pony Express doesn't seem to get good reviews. Martin's Fantasy Island's Crazy Mouse hardly spins and Darien Lake's MotoCoaster, despite having a decent launch, doesn't do much.

Maybe 90% haven't gone to utter crap but they have lost their luster. Boulder Dash is probably the only one that is still highly as regarded as it once once. Raven, Shivering Timbers, Tonnere de Zues, Silver Comet, Tremors, Timber Terror and Cornball Express are still solid coasters but not what they used to be. Jackdude101
Any company based in China. Â They shamelessly steal and copy other company's designs from other countries and even from fellow Chinese companies. In particularly heinous instances they have even attached the company's logo of the ride design they have stolen and put it on their own knock-off versions, so potential customers don't know it's a knock-off. They did a bust once at a recent amusement industry convention in the US where several of these Chinese companies were confronted and slapped with huge fines for doing these things, but it won't stop them from continuing to have unethical business practices in their home country.
