ocna
Well i was wondering that lots of theme parks have been mentioned with people travelling over the season. i know that Different places have different seasons but dont worry lol . so...what theme parks have you done so far and to think what was your best Over the year. So far this year i have done: Alton Towers Busch Gardens Tampa Bay MGM studios Universal Studios IOA SeaWorld Orlando Epcot I also did three water parks Wet N Wild (orlando) , Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon but that aint very important lol. My favourite was IOA its just all over greatness!!!!!!!!!
nannerdw
This summer I went to SFOG twice, Dollywood, and PKI. I was most impressed with Dollywood. The scenery and music everywhere really set a great mood for the park. It reminded me a lot of Opryland. I love Thunderhead and Tennessee Tornado so much. I was actually really sad when I had to leave that park after the two amazing days I spent there. I had a great experience at SFOG the first time I was there. Unfortunately, I only went on 5 coasters the second time, due to heavy rain in the middle of the day. I spent the majority of the day sitting inside the station of Batman the Ride, waiting for the rain to clear off. When I went to PKI, I was just in a really bad mood at that time. I felt really depressed for some reason, and even the coasters did not make me feel any better. I only liked a few of their rides. Memories of that park were just depressing. Hopefully I can go back sometime in the future, so that I can actually enjoy the park. I think the main reason for my disappointment was that I had gotten too hyped up about the trip a few months before it, and then it ended up not being as great as I had expected it to be. Next year, I am planning to visit Holiday World (to ride the Voyage) and SFOG (to ride Goliath.)
Rooey
Islands of Adventure My first ever visit here and now its probably one of my favourite parks ever. Gorgeous setting, great themings, kick ass rides, i was just thoroughly impressed with the whole place, which is probably why in the 15 days i was in Florida, we went here about 4 or 5 times. Hulk was amazing, and my friends face after, as he didnt know about the launch, was priceless. Dragons were awesome, and the water rides were great. I even enjoyed Dr Doom! Universal Studios FLorida Had a good time here, highlight had to be "Revenge of the Mummy" - just awesome i found. Busch Gardens Well we saw Sheikra, but that was a week before it opened. Great day, great coasters, apart from the girl puking up on the Phoenix. Montu and Kumba are all kinds of loveliness. MGM Studios Another great day at a great park, finally got on the Tower of Terror, was amazing. Rock n Rollercoaster was fine, but i wasn't overly impressed, but a good ride nonetheless. Sea World Florida Finally got on Kraken, and i was not disappointed, i thoroughly enjoyed this, and thank god it was a quiet day, i think we must have rode it about 20 times! Thorpe Park For quite a small park, it packs a punch! Enjoyed the new Slammer and Rush rides immensely, Colossus, has gotten a tad rough, but still good, Nemesis Inferno was a great ride. Dreamland, Margate Well, i live about 5 minutes away from here, and i was so enthused when i found out it would be open this year...how sad it was then, to see this once fun place (well 10 or so years ago before it was a car park and wasteland) in the state it was. The lovely Scenic Railway looked to be falling apart, and a few flat rides from travelling fairs plonked down with some imbeciles operating them wasnt encouraging..i mean, Top Buzz was operated by some kid who was about 8 years old, maximum. How i wish someone would take over and use this place to its full potential Looking forward to next year where i intend to go to many more places! Olympus Timber Falls Adventure Park Cedar Point Little A-Merikk-A Paramounts Kings Island My favorite park is a tie between SFGAm and CP, with Raging Bull and Milli being my two best coasters of the season (even though I have previously ridden MF). MichRollerCoast
Cedar Point What can you say about Cedar Point, Best park on the planet 8 years running, but not so much when you work there and spend everyday there. Geauga Lake Hey I love this little park and the water park is so much fun. Paramount's Kings Island One of my two favorite parks and I won a giant Sonic the Hedgehog and it was awesome. Hersheypark I was impressed by this park and who can turn away free candy after every ride? Kennywood I love this place, enough said. But the new Jack Rabbit sign is horrible. Knoebel's I thought this place was horrible and was not impressed at all, in fact my ACE friend and I left after 3 hours. Dorney Park Good little park and Hydra was frickin sweet. Six Flags Great America My favorite park, yes I know it's Six Flags. I love most of the rides there and the atmosphere. Mt. Olympus Hades is not as good as people say, I prefered Avalanche. Timbers Falls Avalanche is better than Hades. Michigan's Adventure My home park and my other place of employment, I love it here. Dollywood I was shocked at how good it was, and Thunderhead was breathtaking. Paramount's Carowinds Crappy, boring park. They something new and big. MagnumForce
Best place on the face of the Earth IMO. It's Holidayworld that is grossly overrated.
edboxer
My home park - Dorney - multiple times!! Hades is a blast - 5 inversions in a row! Lake Compounce - Boulderdash didn't seem to have the air it had last year. But I rode it twice in the rain!! Astroland - The Cyclone still has the best first drop, especially in the next to last seat. Nothing else grabs my stomach like it. Then there was the coast trip: Conneaut Lake Park - I grew up at Conneaut, Idora and Geauga Lake - it pains me to see the place such a shambles. But still loved the Blue Streak. Martin's Fantasy Island - in the rain - Silver Comet kicks ass, and bruises ribs.... Waldameer - loved the place. Amazed to get some airtime on the Comet - what a great coaster. Somebody needs to start making them this size again. Its the perfect tweener coaster. Geauga Lake - Big Dipper still has great Air. Dominator is a blast, especially in the last seat. But the finale double corkscrew is painful. 3 days at Cedar Point, including Coastermania, - 18 rides on TTD - 16 in the front seat. I'd still kill for a roolback. The highlight - Coastermania - hundreds of people by the front gate at 5:30am. riding TTD at 6:45am - 6 rides on MF before 8:00am.
PhishyBrewer
-Six Flags Marine World -Paramount's Great America -Funderland -Cedar Point -Universal Studios Hollywood -Knott's Berry Farm -Disneyland -California Adventure And that's it so far for this year. JamminJ
Knoebel'sI thought this place was horrible and was not impressed at all, in fact my ACE friend and I left after 3 hours. Yay! I'm not the only person who thinks that place is OVERRATED. Umm.. WTF? Anyway, my list: Paramount's Carowinds - Yay my homepark. Top Gun and the Flyers ROCK. Paramount's Kings Dominion - Tomb Raider was fun, if you ignore the whole nut-smashing aspect. Busch Gardens Williamsburg - DarKastle is nothing after Spiderman. Dollywood - Best ride at Dollywood not named Thunderhead? Lemon Twist Tea Cups Libertyland - Got to love John Miller classics. Zippin Pippin is great. Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom - SF park that gets a lot of crap. It wasn't awesome, but it wasn't horrible either. Holiday World - Raven and Legend are two great woodies. Can't wait for Voyage next year.. Paramount's Kings Island - This park sucks, plain and simple. Indiana Beach - This park ROCKS plain and simple. Michigan's Adventure - Timbers has been "CedarFair'd" Six Flags Great America - Best. SF. Evah. Mt. Olympus - Best collection of wood on the planet. Riverview - Yay for credit whore stops. Timber Falls - Avalanche isn't as good as Hades, but its damn close and the line is a lot shorter. Six Flags St. Louis - Its sad to see an SF original go down the crapper like this. Silver Dollar City - Overall very awesome. Celebration City - Not quite 'SDC awesome' but Ozark Wildcat is fun. Williams Grove - Its uhh.. Williams Grove.. Dorney Park - Hydra is boring, but fun. Knoebels - Best park on the planet, nothing more nothing less. Clementon - Best woodie on the East Coast. (After Boulder Dash) Coney Island - Most overrated and disgusting park(s) on the planet. Rye Playland - Most underrated and beautiful park on the planet. Still hitting Dollywood, Carowinds, Kings Dominion, Dixie Classic and NC State Fairs, Winterfest at Carowinds, Dollywood Christmas.. Pretty good year overall.
