silentabomb
If you were to add up the length of all the roller coasters you have ridden, how many miles do you think you have traveled on a roller coaster?? With a mile being 5,280ft two or more roller coasters would add up to 1 mile Edited January 12, 2012 by silentabomb

rolercstrluvr
total Inversions (or times you've been upside down): 792 (792 Steel, 0 Wood) Average Speed: 51.16 mph / 82.34 kph (45.45 mph / 73.14 kph Steel, 56.88 mph / 91.53 kph Wood) Distance Climbed: 10.21 miles / 16.42 km (9.54 miles / 15.35 km Steel, 0.66 miles / 1.07 km Wood) Just all my facts. cal1br3tto
According to CoasterCounter, I've traveled 460.27 miles, 232.51 of them on steel coasters and 227.76 on wooden ones. This is a low estimate, as many coasters on the site don't have lengths noted (I try to add them in when possible). My lap counts may be a bit off at the moment, as well. KI Kidd
This year I traveled 103.320 miles by roller coaster. Almost a fourth of that (24.009 miles) was on Diamondback.
Skycoastin Steve
My lap count is only completely accurate for the last two years, and everything before that is a rough estimate, but according to Coaster Counter, I've traveled 1533.44 miles (2467.83 km). I have climbed 61.79 miles and dropped 49.21 miles. I have somewhere between 2500 and 3000 lifetime laps I think. I'd like to know what someone like Robb or Roger Bannister's mileage would be, although I highly doubt they have laps counted.

cal1br3tto
I might as well post my other stats as well. They're kind of fun to check up on every now and then. Total Inversions: 835 (plus extras from some of the shuttle coasters) Average Speed: 42.47 mph (35.66 mph steel, 49.29 mph wood) Distance Climbed: 16.83 miles (10.56 miles steel, 6.26 miles wood) Distance Dropped: 13.49 miles (7.83 miles steel, 5.67 miles wood)

PKI Jizzman
I probably rode Diamondback over 700 times when I worked on it in 2009 April-October 31st. Some days when it's dead we'd rotate and ride all day haha. And slow days after work? Damn, like, atleast 10-20 times a day. There's no other re-ridable ride at KI..maybe Drop Zone. Sooo since Diamondback is 5282' long, 3minute duration, and 1620 people per hour...I rode that awesome B&M for about 710 miles or so, for 35.35 hours on the ride, and with about 15,500 (possibly) different people! SharkTums
I'd like to know what someone like Robb or Richard Bannister's mileage would be, although I highly doubt they have laps counted. I can let you know that Robb and myself have never and will not count laps, so sorry! So this is our based on just one ride on each coaster ridden...obviously we've been on lots of these way more than once! Robb: Total Inversions: 1164 (1163 Steel, 1 Wood) Average Speed: 37.36 mph Distance Climbed: 15.59 miles Distance Dropped: 6.94 miles Distance Traveled: 406.6 miles Elissa: Total Inversions: 1102 Average Speed: 38.34 mph Distance Climbed: 14.67 miles Distance Dropped: 6.63 miles Distance Traveled: 380.02 miles
chickenbowl
I had to do some editing on CoasterCounter dude to people counting rides like Deja Vu and Invertigo as 6 inversions each. I also added some lengths that weren't there. 155 different inversions 61.76 miles Also, I count V2 at SFDK to have an inversion, but RCDB says different. cal1br3tto
^I would definitely "count" them as inversions if there were an easy way to do so. In the sense of CoasterCounter's inversion count, they clearly count as "times you've been upside down". They just don't happen to be unique elements. As for the V2 thing, I've gotten used to not considering it an inversion, but I used to be confused by that. I know people sometimes get into in-depth debates over the necessary angles, etc., but I don't care enough.
Sir Clinksalot
I also don't count laps ... I've ridden some coasters (CA Screamin', Big Thunder, Monty, Jaguar (191 in one day), Xcelerator, Goliath, Batman, Colossus, Gold Rusher) over 200 times easy. Total Inversions (or times you've been upside down): 223 (223 Steel, 0 Wood) Average Speed: 47.54 mph / 76.51 kph (41.76 mph / 67.21 kph Steel, 53.32 mph / 85.81 kph Wood) Distance Climbed: 3.13 miles / 5.03 km (2.65 miles / 4.27 km Steel, 2499.0 feet / 761.7 meters Wood) Distance Dropped: 1.98 miles / 3.18 km (1.58 miles / 2.54 km Steel, 2120.6 feet / 646.36 meters Wood) Distance Traveled: 75.43 miles / 121.39 km (59.57 miles / 95.87 km Steel, 15.86 miles / 25.53 km Wood)
Jerrykoala2112
I've been upside down 1056 times... Average Speed is 45.61 mph... Distance Climbed is 21.04 miles... Distance Dropped is 17.77 miles... Distance Traveled is 601.93 miles... That's between 2008 to present because that's when I began tracking coasters. I guess it's just preference to people, but I see it as different individual inversions that are physically built. And if you go upside-down multiple times from the same element, I characterize that along the same lines as multiple laps on a coaster. Montezooma's Revenge has one loop to me, just because you go around it twice doesn't mean it has 2 inversions. Same goes for if a kiddie coaster cycles you through the ride twice, it doesn't mean it has 2 lift hills. But hey, I can see why other people feel different than I do. I know of only one. I can barely be bothered to keep my track listing up to date, never mind keep track of how many times I ride each coaster. And I wouldn't want to count track, because I find that people who do so often spend more time worrying about counting rides than actually enjoying them! In fact, I still haven't updated my list since just before my big Scandinavia (etc) trip this Summer. And before that I finally updated my list for the first time in two years. I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a coaster somewhere on my list that I didn't actually ride, because it was closed or broken down or moved, and I forgot about it! Updating the list after the China trip should be fun, especially if I end up adding all the side trips I'm considering (South Korea, Taiwan and Japan highlights.) The good news (or bad, depending on how you look at it) is that that trip will probably be the last one I ever take that gives me anything close to 100 credits. Unless I strike it rich and do some crazy credit whoring. So updating the list in the future should be much easier.

cal1br3tto
I'm the lap-counting type, but it's hard for me not to second-guess myself, especially during ERT. ...The good news (or bad, depending on how you look at it) is that that trip will probably be the last one I ever take that gives me anything close to 100 credits. Unless I strike it rich and do some crazy credit whoring. So updating the list in the future should be much easier. I'm already starting to know what you mean. In my case, there are numerous places where I need a lot of credits, but there are some achievements I just won't be able to attain again in the future. For example, no more doubling my credit count, or even my wood credits, within a year.
OldJJman
I've ridden 1 coaster over over 1600 times (stopped counting at 1600, probably around 1720 by now), but only 3x in the last 3 years. So just on that one coaster (using the 1600#): Distance Climbed: 35.75 miles Distance Dropped: 32.72 miles Distance Traveled: 1373.63 miles The coaster? Ghostrider. But, since it's become such a POS, I really don't care if I ever ride it again. JJ
