I have to agree with you there, Zierer is definitely taking off. IMO, they've always been doing well with the Tivolis and Forces (the Schwarzkopfs too, but they were built a while ago). I think Bowcraft's Crossbow and Lagoon's Wicked really set them off, and they haven't stopped climbing since. I seriously can't wait to see what they have in store for the coming years.

Just wondering if anyone has seen a report from the media about this event.

"Disney at Dawn

Take a very exclusive tour to the Walt Disney World® Resort and see it as few others can. The tour begins at dawn – literally – and you will experience Disney’s Hollywood Studios® before the gates open, before the guests arrive, and before the magic begins. Jim MacPhee, Senior Vice President, WDW Parks and Next Generation Experience* will greet you upon arrival and provide an overview of Walt Disney World® Park Operations. The experience continues with an escorted behind-the scenes visit to several areas of the park. Finally you will enjoy breakfast and the opportunity to ask questions of several senior Disney leaders.

*Guest speakers are subject to change."

It took place on Monday morning and I haven't seen a report on any site.

Er...um...we were signed up for it and...decided to sleep in instead.

I know, but Jack and Jaqui had us out very late for Mickey's Very Merry Xmas Party the night before. You had to be at OCCC at 05:30 for the buses and we just needed to sleep instead.

For what it's worth, we were told in advance that no cameras were permitted on the tour, including cell phone cameras. I talked to someone who did do it and he said it was just okay. The highlight was the engine room for Tower.

The agenda was Tower, Rock'n Roller Coaster, and Fantasmic.

Tour cost was about $100 per person, which included breakfast.

Great updates and videos. I'm really intrigued to find out more about the new Vekoma coaster going into China, as well as the first entirely new Rocky Mountain coaster. A lot of interesting ride and theming concepts too, and hopefully we start to see them show up soon. Theming seems to be of a higher priority in European parks, but parks back here seem to be adding more now.

The zipline looked great, and it would be awesome to see even small ones like at the expo show up at parks in the states. They probably would take up little space, be fairly affordable, and parks could probably find a creative place to put one easily.

The Big Fun coaster was also interesting. I recall GCI coming up with other stock models in the past, but if one truly has been sold, I believe that would be a first. I can't think of many American parks that would build one, although there are some parks I hope do, but I could see some European parks pick one up.

And this is exactly why we didn't sign up for it either. I asked about it, and yeah, no cameras means no updates which isn't very interesting to someone who runs a site where everything is based on visuals.

Having worked at Disney parks for many years of my life, I've seen most of it all before, and if I can't share it with others, it was kind of pointless for us.

Thanks for posting the seemingly mundane schedule. Sounds like not much was missed. On an aside, your attraction videos are amazing Martin (but I'm sure you've heard this before) .
