matteocrepaldi Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 If you haven't noticed, they have removed the brakes from the first camelback!
Vid_w Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Exactly! The airtime should ba awesome over that hill, and the rest of the ride will be insane! Can't wait to see it in action! Matteo, any word on when they will start testing?
atem122 Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I believe this ride is referred to as Intamin ultra hotness
matteocrepaldi Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I've no idea. There's a media preview for anyone who joined the group on Facebook but I've no idea about the exact day. Some say May 31st but I doubt that they do a Media preview on a Sunday. Â Check out the amazing iSpeed micro site! There's a link from www.mirabilandia.it ! Â Camelback... -1.5g!!!
jmicha Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Dang, this is going to be an intense coaster. Going from pulling 4.9G at the bottom of the top hat to -1.5G in the camelback. That's an absolutely insane amount of airtime. Nothing like 1.5 times your weight being launched upward into the restraint lol.
DiSab Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 ^If it's anything like the ejector air on Maverick's first airtime hill, they'll have a winner for sure. This just keeps looking better and better. Intamin ultra hotness is right.
Vid_w Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 That is going to be one of the most powerful coasters EVER! 4.6G on the climb to the tophat -0.5G over the tophat 4.9G at the bottom of the first drop -1.5G on the camelback 4.5G on the first turn 4.3G in the corkscrew (?) 4.3G in the Italian loop  <3!
jmicha Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 ^^That's actually exactly what I was thinking when I saw that lol. And it will be for a greater period of time too since the hill is significantly longer than Maverick's drop. Should be insane.
Coaster Italy Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 That is going to be one of the most powerful coasters EVER! 4.6G on the climb to the tophat -0.5G over the tophat 4.9G at the bottom of the first drop -1.5G on the camelback 4.5G on the first turn 4.3G in the corkscrew (?) 4.3G in the Italian loop  OMG! It's a Dead machine!
Vid_w Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Today at 1:45pm, iSpeed has completed its first circuit! I hope for some video footage soon!
atem122 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 ^Aw beautiful! Not too much to see there, but hopefully they get it going over the top hat a tad faster, still, that's definitely going to be one of the greatest rides built in a while to say the least
matteocrepaldi Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Did you see that headchopper underneath the launch track?? Â Awesome! And that's just the beginning!
Thelegendarymatthew Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 ^^^^ It probably will, there could of been wind in the way, plus there was nothing in the train. Â Anyways, I really want to see an on-ride POV, but I doubt i'll see that for a while. Anyways, this ride looks awesome! Â -Matthew K.
thrillrideseeker Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 That is going to be one of the most powerful coasters EVER!4.6G on the climb to the tophat -0.5G over the tophat 4.9G at the bottom of the first drop -1.5G on the camelback 4.5G on the first turn 4.3G in the corkscrew (?) 4.3G in the Italian loop Is it just me or does that not sound like this coaster is going to go through wheels more so than Maverick??~Matthew
Noxegon Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Given that the ride is now being tested do we have any further leads as to opening date?
Vid_w Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Given that Mirabilandia is planning a sneak preview on may 31st, or the week after, I'm guessing that the ride will open soon after.
Noxegon Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Bollocks! Â I'm going to be driving past on the 28th. What miserable sodding luck!
matteocrepaldi Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Probably the preview is going to be on the 7th of June. If it's on the 31st of May I'll just miss it.
matteocrepaldi Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Wow!!! It really flyies through those inversions! Thanks for sharing this!
themeparkman25 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 It seems that they have picked the launch speed up noticeably. Thanks for posting that video, this coaster looks so awesome.
