Six Flags Over Georgia (SFOG) Discussion Thread

^I wasn't counting Monster Plantation because I don't think the new version will be ready for Saturday. Obviously that's the best enclosed ride in the park, it's one of my favorite dark rides ever! (and this coming from someone with WDW and Universal season passes)

Monster Plantation (Mansion) will be opening sometime around Memorial Day. It just didn't make sense for the park to actually work on the ride right when the park closed, it would have allowed the ride to open with the park this year.

Haha Joe. When I first began to read the response, I thought someone was going to yell at me for giving Six Flags a hard time. Then, I looked to the left and saw the name, definitely not the case. haha.

Be sure to ride the Dahlonega Mine Train in the last row of the last car. If you do, you'll get Air Time right before the tunnel.

Yeah, I've been to Knoebels. Luckily Joe and Tyler pretty much summed up anything I would have said. I personally think Knoebels is overrated.

I recommend opening day at just about any park, especially when there are snow and thunderstorms.

Oh well, I've done parks in the snow before and I'll do it again. Let's hope they stay open.

I just found out I won't be able to go this weekend but I talked to my grandfather & he is making the trip next weekend & will have no problem dropping me off at SFOG. Hopefully the weather will be better next weekend because I am 90% sure I will be there So will anyone be there next Saturday?

^ Interesting. The website still lists them as being open on Sunday, even though the current forecast for Sunday is much worse than tomorrow's.

FYI, Six Flags Over Georgia's website now lists them as closed tomorrow (Sunday), as well.

 

So opening day is now March 7.

Good luck with that, I know how you feel right now.

I always have a hard time convincing my mother or father to let me go to Kings Dominion, when they say I could go to Busch Gardens, which is much closer to where I live.

 

I don't really know your complete situation, but I'm sure you'll convince them.

^So here is my situation. My grandfather is driving to Florida on Friday. He told me he will be able to drop me off at SFOG however I will have to fly home & I will be going alone. My parents don't want me to be in the park alone but now that Tyler will hopefully be going I'm going to let them no I no someone who I can hang out with. I do have a plan to invite one of my friends with me & we follow my grandfather down in my car but I don't no if that is going to work out. Hopefully I will be able to go I still have a lot of convincing to do.

The whole "flying home" may be the only thing that your parents might not agree with.

But it seems like you've been to alot of parks up and down the east coast, so I'm sure you'll think of something.

Yeah it is the getting to the airport by myself which is what my parents don't like. If it doesn't work out I will hopefully get down there this summer & stop off at Carowinds since it will be on the way.
