Sir Clinksalot Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Yes, today was the day that all parents look forward to, and I am no exception-FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! Amanda and Josh love school so they were eager to go also. Gregg and I walked them to their classes and let me tell you, the tears were starting when I left Amanda. I am such a chick! She looked so big! Josh is a little more timid and he was eager to sit down. So, here are a few pictures of them. Amanda and Josh Amanda and Josh Joshua Amanda again.. Amanda
FlyingScooter Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Nice shots, Belle. Where did this summer go? Seemed like a quick one to me.
SharkTums Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Awww, they look so adorable! Enjoy it while it lasts...just a few more years till they have no desire to go to school!
coasters 4 me Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 I hate going to school. But I like going back to see my friends, but after a month, I want to get of school again! My mum said that she is happy seeing me go back to school on friday. This summer has really gone in quick!
Hattuchili Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Nice pictures, Kristi. They looked really nice. I loved school, too! --Sören
Chrissie Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Awww! They r soo cute! I wish I could go back to school! Lol!
Justin Adams Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Ahh, 2nd and 4th grades... I've got so many good memories of my time in elementary school. Then I've got memories of middle school... *shudder*, and good memories of High School. I just regret that I didn't finish college earlier in my life. Doing it at 30 makes it harder, but at least I'm motivated finally! Thanks for sharing the pics, tell the kids I said to STAY IN SCHOOL, DON'T EVER LEAVE! STAY AS LONG AS YOU CAN! MAKE MOM AND DAD PAY FOR EVERYTHING! Justin
coasters 4 me Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 ^Yeah, my mum and dad keep telling me to learn and do my best in school because you only get to go to school once. If you do well, you will get a good job and live happy! So that keeps me motivated during History! YAY! This is my last year of history!
CoasterCrazy Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 I like College a lot more than I liked grade school! Like Elissa said you better enjoy it while it lasts.
disneygurlz2s Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 How cute.... I will have to post Sammi's too. I think Amanda favors Gregg and Josh favors you, am I right? Shari "They always look so nice the first day...." Shoufler
OzCatter Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Yeah, once they hit 13, poof, there goes all wanting in school. I myself meander in somehow every morning. -Cal
Sir Clinksalot Posted August 31, 2005 Author Posted August 31, 2005 Shari, I actually think the kids are pretty equal in their effection towards the both of us.
Angry_Gumball Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Where did this summer go? Seemed like a quick one to me. Did Summer even come yet??? Yeah, it's been warm and all but this summer was not my typical summer of relaxation, theme parks, trips, and more relaxation...in fact, no trips at all. I had summer classes so Summer vacation did not happen.
DATman Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 I am enjoying being at school (just started HS last week!), but I hate half of my classes. My friends help me get through the udder (bad pun intended) boredom Oh, and to parents/adult things who want to go back to school-NO YOU DON'T
YoshiFan Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Did Summer even come yet??? I had summer classes so Summer vacation did not happen. Yeah, summer classes can really ruin summer. Even if it's only 1 or 2 classes, you can't have the "I'm free" mentality that you get with no classes. I only take summer classes during the first session so I can still have 2 months of no school.
USRoadTripper Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 This was the third year that I didn't have to go back to school at "back to school" time, and it just gets better every year! I truly hated every second of my education, and think it's a load of BS when adults say to enjoy school. No one rememebrs being picked on? No one remembers having to do homework when all you wanted to do was play with your friends or go hang out at the mall? People said that to me almost daily in college, which I regard as the worst four years of my life, and I swore I'd never say it to another human, ever. I have never, and will never miss school for one second. -Julie
AllisonY2K Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 awww...cute little TR. That's really awesome that you both had the time/opportunity to walk your children to class.
Sir Clinksalot Posted September 1, 2005 Author Posted September 1, 2005 ^ I walk them every day. The only good thing about working the night shift.
ebl Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Diana started her sophomore year at Camarillo High today. It was a zoo dropping her off. Eric
disneygurlz2s Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 Shari, I actually think the kids are pretty equal in their effection towards the both of us. NO, NO, NO..... I meant in their appearance Gregg!! Amanda looks more like you (minus the bald head, thankfully) and Josh's features favor Kristi. Shari "giggling at the misunderstanding" Shoufler
Sir Clinksalot Posted September 2, 2005 Author Posted September 2, 2005 ^ After I posted that Kristi said you most likely meant in looks ... And yes, you are right.

Anyone that ever said that high school/college would be the best part of life is either a liar or doesn't aspire to doing a whole lot with life. I did not like school. I was often bored, and just never really enjoyed any of it. College wasn't much better, as I really didn't relate to all the alcohol abuse and related nonsense I witnessed on a daily basis. In reality, my life took a turn for the better when I got out of school and lived on my own and stuff. I'm much happier now than I ever was when I was in the educational system. It's good to know that I'm not the only one with that experience... dt
ebl Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 School is what you make of it. It can be a happy time, or a miserable time. But I agree that if school is the best part of your life, then why move on when the best part of your life is behind you. I always like to think that the best things are yet to come! Back to topic, we always took Diana to Tierra Linda on her first day and took a picture of her in front of her classroom. They do grow up, Kristi. Just wait till they start bringing boyfriends/girlfriends home. I'm at that point now. Eric
FlyingScooter Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 ^ You aren't kidding. I barely survived my oldest daughters high school dating. i got greyer, and that is the truth.
