chadster
And finally here starts Day 4 and my last TR for about 5 or 6 weeks. I must be on the right street! This place must have low enrollment I mean, I'm pretty sure our nation's politicians, certain investors, and celebrities have not graduated from here. So if you guessed I am now in NY City, you guessed right! And in NYC we find a classic carousel! Hand crafted and painted, this classic is a work of art. Bath time? Jihad? Creepy. The attention to detail is beyond describable Elegant in every sense Bonus entry for the first one to name my stalker. Next park in quite a nice setting, still in Central Park. Mini Mad Mouse?!?! Oh well, lets get this over with, we have two more parks left on the list. Speaking of, have you been keeping track because I haven't Probably the safest park of NYC Moving on we would drive through Harlem quite by accident. If you have never visited Harlem, well, lets just say it looks just as it does on Law and Order. Moving quickly out of Harlem I hauled out to Adventure Park. This is puked out of.... This. Noted! I liked it, I mean it didn't give it me rough, but not smooth, so I suppose it gave it me with a mixture that was pleasurable. Wow, these kiddie rides run fast. My, what a long centipede(?) you are Ok, final park, and not only am I wearing down by now, so is my camera. Rye Playland is now in my top 10 most liked parks. It has a classic feel with a nice mixture of carnival rides and classic rides like this galloping racing horse. The employees would give you pointers on your riding technique. Next up was this death machine. Another death machine would be found on the NE Trip to Coney Island..... Noted. Coasters that require one to play with a brake handle turn me on. And finally a mouse ride to end this report. Goodbye Rye! Thanks for a fantastic evening and an unexpected fireworks show! (Unexpected because it was good!) And here would start the NE Trip, but thats already been covered so... So wave bye to the camera and remember to post for your chance to win an envelope of garbage! Thanks again, see you again in February!

Skycoastin Steve
Whore on the Shore is the only way to go. Doing all those in one day is one of my proudest accomplishments, although I didn't to Keansburg or Clementon that day. I didn't have a stalker following me, though, so you get bonus points for that. sspaz1000
Whore on the Shore is the only way to go. Doing all those in one day is one of my proudest accomplishments, although I didn't to Keansburg or Clementon that day. I didn't have a stalker following me, though, so you get bonus points for that. Steve or Chad or anyone who has done a whore on the shore, help and advice would be appreciated. I'm planning on doing this this summer (as sad and pathetic as I'm only a couple hours away, I've never done this). So how many parks are there? and just in general advice on how to do something like this. Thanks!
eddie200330
I am going to be in Atlantic City mid July..... would it be worth it to investigate going to say Wildwood or any other of the shore areas? We will be taking a bus trip up for 3 days/nights so transportation might be an issue? Any thoughts would be well received!
larrygator
Nicole - from North to South here are the parks along the Jersey Shore: Keansburg - 2 credits Jenkinsons (Point Pleasant) - 2 credits, one is powered Casino Pier (Seaside Heights) - 4 credits Funtown Pier (Seaside Hieghts)- 3 credits, the 4th credit is powered and for children only Blackbeard's Cave (some people skip as it is not actually on a beach, but within 2 miles of the ocean) - 1 credit Fantasy Island (Long Beach Island, only has a powered coaster) - 1 powered coaster Steel Pier (Atlantic City) - 2 credits Storybook Land (another park not on the shore, about 10 miles inland near Atlantic City) - 1 credit Gillian's Wonderland Pier (Ocean City) - 3 credits Playland's Castaway Cove (Ocean City) - 3 credits Gillians Funland (Sea Isle City) - 1 credit Moreys Piers (Wildwood) - 6 credits The two factors that make it nearly impossible to get all the coasters all in one day are traffic and park hours. If you try to drive north to south on a Saturday the traffic is horrendous and driving south to north on a Sunday means you encounter the same problems. So a weekday trip is preferable. Also, the piers at Moreys have staggered openings but they also stay open late. The ideal route is to start in Keansburg. Start by listing all the parks you want to visit on a grid in the direction of your travel plans and put the park hours along side each park, then factor in the time need at each park. I would estimate the following time at each park from the time you leave your car to return, if you just want the coasters (but some parks have other can't miss offerings, both food and rides). Keansburg (30 minutes) Jenkinsons (30 minutes) Casino Pier and Funtown Pier (2 hours if you don't move your car) Blackbeard's Cave (20 minutes) Fantasy Island (20 minutes) Steel Pier (30 minutes) Storybook Land (30 minutes) Gillian's Wonderland Pier and Playland's Castaway Cove (90 minutes if you don't move your car) Gillians Funland (20 minutes) Moreys Piers (2.5 hours) Then start plugging the park addresses into the mapping direction option of your choice (GPS or online) and figure out your schedule to determine if it is even possible. sspaz1000
^Thanks Larry. I've figured it's probably impossible for a day, but might make a weekend out of it. And I've already gotten Steel Pier in AC already from years ago, so that will save me one stop. But thanks for the organizational list from North to South. This helps a lot
chadster
I could not have put it any better Larry! And like he said, Morey's has staggered opening times but will stay open until midnight most nights. Storybook land we skipped as it was like $27 to get in for one credit. The only other thing I can add is that Fantasy Island opens at 6pm which put a kink into my schedule and we doublebacked to get it adding about 3 hours to the drive. Skycoastin Steve
Larry got it right. I'm not entirely sure how I was able to swing 9 of them in one day. I started at Jenkinson's and ended at Morey's, and I think I just got lucky with the traffic on the Garden State Parkway and in Atlantic City (even got lost in AC for a little bit trying to find Steel Pier). I skipped Storybook Land, too. Getting all the credits would be rather impressive, as a few were closed that day (it was early in the season). I also missed the one Wacky Worm because I'm an idiot and didn't remember it was there. The one thing that helped me with Morey's is that it was open until 10 or 11 that night, and I needed just about every second of that to get every credit there since it was pretty crowded. Best of luck whenever you try it!
Chrisrad
It was exhausting just reading this TR and looking at the pictures - can't believe you were able to do all of that in such a short amount of time. And yeah, Hell Cat was ridiculous.. I think it's even worse than Wild Cat at Lake Compounce. Nice TR!

Plus, if I do go North to South, if I don't make it in one weekend, I'm not that far away to pick up the credits at another time. (Which is also why it's sad and pathetic that being not quite two hours away, I've yet to do this.)
