Boulder Dash remains by far my number 1, followed by Phoenix. My numbers 3-5 are all new to me in Balder, my new favourite steel (Powder Keg) and Renegade rounds off my top 5.

Kings Dominion yet again dominates the bottom of my list with Grizzly, Rebel Yell and Hurler all right at the bottom.

Just reading through here, and thought it was funny that my top three are exactly the same as yours (but in a different order), but your number 4 wood (Bordwalk Bullet) is probably in the bottom 10% of all the woodens I've ridden, if not in last place! It's funny how people's opinions can be so similar but so diferent.

Here is my ballot. Since I've been on 164 different woodies out of the 184 that are listed on Mitch's poll, I choose to us the "grouping" method, otherwise this would take me forever! As you can see, the way I do it, I have a top 10 (and a tie for #1) and a bottom 10. Assume that ranking #35 is "totally average", so you can see what coasters call "above average" in my opinion, and "below average."

 

I also think about coasters as "best in their class", so for example, even though a "Scenic Railway" might not stack up to some more modern rides, I'll give a few bonus points for the one I feel that is "best in it's class."

 

Out of all the coasters on my list, the only one that really drop significantly from last year was Hades. It was at #15, and this year it's at #40. The rides we had on it this summer we just absoultely terrible. Was such a disappointment!

I agree it is strange how people's opinions differ! When I first rode Boardwalk Bullet in 2007, it beat me within an inch of my life, and I absolutely hated it. However, when I got the chance to ride it again this year, it ran much more smoothly. I actually rode it in the back seat and loved it!

I honestly considered a three-way tie for those, but last time we rode El Toro, it wasn't *quite* running as good as it was the year before. And, having said that, it still ran like the #3 coaster in the world. But Balder last year, OMFG. Wow. I had dropped it down below T-Express a couple of years ago, but then it shot right back up there!

For some reason (maybe I'm blind), I can't find what I'm supposed to put in place of the n,n next to each ride entry. Could someone please help me out?

^First, delete all coasters you haven't ridden. Of the coasters you have ridden, the first "n" becomes an automatic "y". Change the second "n" to a "y" if you have ridden the coaster in 2010. So each one will either be "y,y" or "y,n".
