christianscoasters
Oh great... IDK if this has been mentioned before, but GL still has Dominator on their site. You'd think it'd be off by now.
FeelTheFORCE
I wonder what park Villain would go to. I would hate to get that as an addition.
Scaparri
^I must be the only person who actually likes that ride. Oh great... IDK if this has been mentioned before, but GL still has Dominator on their site. You'd think it'd be off by now. Well, aside from this being strictly an unconfirmed rumor, GL's season isn't even over yet, so of course they haven't taken it off yet.
All Clear
I think to the people of Richmond and Washington, DC it will be VERY original. There is nothing like it out there. Between Six Flags America, Busch Gardens and Dominion there isn't anything remotely close. The only other Paramount Park that could have benefited from this addition more was Canada's Wonderland and we all know what they are getting I think I can speak accurately for all the coaster people in the Richmond area by saying that Canada's Wonderland can have Dominator if we can have that other thing. edit to add: I agree with BeemerBoy and think it would be cool if they shifted stuff around so that GL became a massive waterpark with a small "dry rides" area and two great old woodies. FeelTheFORCE
^I must be the only person who actually likes that ride. I loved it it's first few years, but after going there this year for the first time in about 3 years, I didn't like it so much. The turns killed the whole ride, they weren't banked at all and you were going very fast through them. The fully metal, non-padded lap bars don't help either, especially when your thighs are driven into them when you turn. It was good when it went straight. natatomic
^^I agree, but at least there's Apollo's Chariot at BGE.
almightyfire
I saw this coming. Why would CF purchase a park down the street? The only reason I could see was to get rid of the competition. When they removed the first coaster I knew that they had no intent to keep this park open, Kings Dominion is wack and so are all of the other CF parks to me besides CP. All of the coasters are just ok. Dominator is a wonderful hypercoaster and I enjoy the villian. Kings Dominion really needs it but i thoroughly enjoyed Guega Lake when Six Flags owned it. I enjoye dit more than cp.

PKI Jizzman
If all this is true, I think KI should have gotten the B&M out of this. We need a really good ride
Reon
We have one..Vortex Not to mention we just got ANOTHER ride from GL this year, and that thing is pretty sweet! I'm sad that GL's going out of buisness before I could visit, but I'd like to see it reincarnated as a traditional park if thats still possible. "Hyper coaster" is a term used by Cedar Fair. It could mean anything, really. ^ I hope you were kidding, but if you weren't, Vortex is not a B&M, it's an Arrow. Reon
He was asking a a GOOD ride, not a B&M.... IMO, Vortex is a top10 worthy coaster, and I've been to CP, Universal, HP, Mt Olympus, and many other parks....
Kingbooba
You all have Firehawk, Vortex, Beast, Son of Beast, Delirium, Face/Off, and Runaway Reptar. At KD we only have Volcano, FoF, Drop Zone, and Avalanche.
ParkTrips
haha Vortex isn't even in my top 100. Worst Arrow looper ever!
ginzo
haha Vortex isn't even in my top 100. Worst Arrow looper ever! You gotta ride in the second to last row. This is true of most Arrow loopers. But yeah, it's pretty much a joke of a ride that should be replaced. Though you could say this about basically all the coasters there.
ms13
Well, this sucks. Geauga Lake needs all the rides they have to survive. I like Kings Dominion and all, but it has enough rides. Clean up the park, add a few flats, and a tram/train from one side to another and more people will come. Removing rides wont help. I hate seeing one of my favorite parks go down like this. At KD we only have Volcano, FoF, Drop Zone, and Avalanche. Seriously dude! SOB is AWFUL, Firehawk is a used clone, Face off is a boomerang, Reptar is a kids coaster. On your list only Delerium and Beast are worth riding and in another year beast won't be on that list. I find the coaster collection at KD to be superior to KI. What is wrong with Grizzly and Hurler. Your mouse rocks, your Stunt Job is better even Anaconda is just as crappy as vortex.
Shockwave
^^Wes, I'll second you on the Head Trauma. That ride stinks. Well, this sucks.Geauga Lake needs all the rides they have to survive. I hate seeing one of my favorite parks go down like this. Well you need to get to more parks then. Because it was pretty lacklustre when I went there. And people haven't really been coming year for the last 3 years. It's got almost nothing which the other big two Ohio parks don't have already. Reon
*Sighs* I love how positive we are about the previously Paramount parks. Sure they arent the best in the world, but they have a nice charm to them. DEATH TO DELIRIUM! I WANT MY COBRA BACK!
coaster05
No they had a nice charm to them BEFORE Paramount bought them. Now they are shells of their former self with extra trash cans.
ParkTrips
You gotta ride in the second to last row. This is true of most Arrow loopers. I understand this. Been on a few of them. I know we were going to ride there but I think we ended up in the next car up. Vortex blows. It had one nice moment of airtime and about a dozen moments where I wished I was back at home. DBJ
That's kind of surprising that they are gutting out GL. I wonder if their intent is to raze the bobsleds as well, and really do a massive Wildwater Kingdom expansion. They could do an onsite indoor waterpark/hotel combo like they have at Cedar Point, and do a boardwalk type feel between the two. It'll be interesting to see what they do with the remainder of the property. Although clearly they need to find a way to make it stand out a bit more in the marketplace. FlyingEagle
I went to Geauga Lake for the first time in July. And took rides on all there remaining coasters. All of them were walk-ons. That day the park was very empty but the employees were very friendly. Dominator is the best coaster they have left. I think cedar fair should add family type coaster to show they are not giving up on the park. Raging Wolf Bobs should be repaired, and was the only coaster I didn't get ride that day I Finished all the coasters just under 2 hours.
Kingbooba
Grizzly and Hurler are rough as I don't know what, Anaconda sucks, Ricochet isn't very fun like it used to be because of trims, and how is our Stunt Track better than your's? They're the same rides! And so what if Firehawk is a used clone? Be thankful KI even has a flyer!
