dandaman Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 I want to ask this since it might get lost in the discussion tomorrow night... Has anyone here seen the glorious Yul Brynner sci-fi film that is "Westworld"? I saw it last night and it was seriously Red Dawn awesome.
BeachKidBoy Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 One more item, and I don't want to stretch my welcome, is here in LA at the Nokia Theatre for Earth Day, they are showing Avatar, with Cameron and a lot of the cast in person. Sorry I don't have the exact website but it's probably something like earthday.com, lalive.com, etc...

I saw it in the 70's during my formative theme park years. It was written by Michael Crichton. Edited April 10, 2010 by larrygator
cfc Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 ^Very entertaining, and much better than its sequel, Future World.

I just loved the fact that they got Yul Brynner to practically reprise his role in The Magnificent Seven... but as a murderous robot. Also, Dave... thank you so much for posting tomorrow's movie schedule. I was almost about to be productive, but screw that, because DINOSHARK!
CoasterBoyJosh Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Hey everybody, I'm new to the site. Where does the actual chat occur?? In this thread??
SharkTums Posted April 10, 2010 Author Posted April 10, 2010 ^Look under the calendar, there's a little link that says 'Chat [number]' just click on that and it will take you to the chat room! I seriously don't know how I'll get anything done today with a movie lineup like that...wow, SyFy channel for the win!!!
alpengeist04 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Ok, I'm now home for the day and it's Sea Beast time.
SharkTums Posted April 10, 2010 Author Posted April 10, 2010 So who's watching DinoShark right now!? This one starts off a bit more terrible than most, but some of the last 20 minutes are just amazing! Tune in now!!!
alpengeist04 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 (edited) Classic lines: "You're gonna need a bigger chopper" and "Welcome to the endangered species list, you bastard!!!" Those where the two that stood out to me. ...Just a great flick overall. Edit: Oh and Lake Placid 2 already has a few great lines. MEGA PIRANHA: They double in size every 36 hours. Tonight should be great!!! Edited April 10, 2010 by alpengeist04

BeachKidBoy Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Spring Break Shark Attack has to be worst ever. It wasn't even bad in a 'bad' way. For anyone else into horrible films make sure you see 'The Creeping Terror' and check out the production notes on Wikipedia.
the ghost Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 ^ Theres nothing horrible about mega pirhana, its gonna be awesome. I'll be a little late to chat tonight(ill be in at around the end of the movie) cause I have to Tevo it. If anyones still in the chat at 8 or 830 pacific time I cant wait to discuss the carnage and awesomeness.
Mr. Starr Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Oh, I'll be there. And if not, then I might be being EATEN ALIVE BY MEGA PIRANHAS!!!
SharkTums Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 I'm watching Luke Perry deal with 'Snakes on a Sub' right now, we're getting closer guys! Can't wait to experience the awesomeness of Mega Piranha with all of you!
BeachKidBoy Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Just wish TPR had some pull and they could have added "KISS Meets The Phantom".
jynx242 Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Oh dear god - Sea Snakes? This is AWESOME! The incredible acting range of Luke Perry is astounding. The men are complaining about the COLD? I'd be complaining about all the snakes on the sub.
jray21 Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Awesome movie. What a great start to an epic evening. It's like riding Revolution before Tatsu. Had to throw in a stupid theme park item somehow!
