Genx24
Very thankful for that. January rides on Nitro FTW. Also, to reiterate, if one chooses not to buy a flash pass, that's fine. But if you choose not to on a day where it's necessary, you can't complain about people who chose to buy it.

bill_s
On the last weekend last year it was empty. I was there Friday and Sunday, January 1st and 3rd. Not too many crazies coming out in subfreezing temps but the park definitely stayed open til scheduled closing time, B&M temp recommendations be damned. I meant the end of Halloween season that the weather rule doesn't apply (replying to "in a few weeks" although maybe that meant a couple months). I knew that would be mistaken as soon as I turned off the computer this morning. I have mixed feelings about fastpasses. They are a money grab, but there is no perfect solution. The standard Flash is brilliant, from the park's perspective anyway, because people spend even more money waiting while not in line. I remember thinking there ought to be some way to skip the line back in 1975 or 6 at a park with only one big line for the one big coaster. larrygator
OK now it seems we're officially bordering on Kings Dominion Thread levels of insanity at this point. Later gators! This level of civil banter is far superior and more entertaining than the cesspool of complaints and pile-ons that occurs in other threads. I haven't been on the forums lately due to work starting as well as being in the hiring process for a new job but I agree. The Great Adventure thread is one of the more normal ones on this site. Snotbubbles
Hey guy's... I just found this place and I'm stoked to have found it!!! I haven't been to GA in 8 years but I'm thinking about getting passes for the wife and I. It looks like they have a killer deal up right now for 2 season passes plus HH season passes plus season parking pass for $70 each. Here's the link... https://www.sixflags.com/greatadventure/store/season-passes This looks too good to be true. It's for the rest of this year and all of next year. Is this legit? Is this the best deal around and a no brainer or am I missing something? Also they have the Dining Pass for $87. Is that worth it? Here's the link... https://www.sixflags.com/greatadventure/store/season-dining-pass-sale I've enjoyed reading this message board so far. Thanks for any feedback. Six Flags routinely whores themselves out at absurdly low prices. The dining plan is worth it but if you get it you can only use it at select locations at select times so wait times for food can get long. Personally I don't have it because I'd rather just go to Panda Express and eat better food with no line whenever I want but the dining pass is a good deal if you don't mind a little waiting. But yes, you should buy the pass and use it this year for Holiday in the Park. Holiday in the Park is amazing. Fright Fest... not so much.

KBrylczyk
*appears on other shoulder in an angel costume* Hurricane Harbor can be fun! Give it a shot! Hurricane Harbor can be fun from exactly opening to exactly 10 minutes past opening. Once everyone gets away from their lockers and creates gridlock on the staircases it loses any happiness. I've got no problem with lines. I've got a problem with being stuck on a staircase on a hot day with no shade being rubbed up against by shirtless people who haven't showered in a while who have no idea of personal space. michaellynn4
^ I see where you're coming from, but that all seems to be issues with water parks in general and not specifically issues with Hurricane Harbor. My advice is based on the assumption that someone asking for an opinion on the park already enjoys the typical water park experience.
