I'm living proof that Boldikus has no standards and will hang out with absolutely anybody at the park.

^^^^^-----as long as they have a car and live near him!

Wow- what a weird day! Fire was working this past Saturday- too bad you couldn't make it then, as it was walk on city!

Out of curiosity, Boldikus, do you know where on which road you were stuck on in NJ? I suspect I may have driven past you unknowingly.

We were on 38 near 73? I think? Jersey is so confusing to me. Philly is just a giant grid, its hard to exist somewhere its not.

I live right off of the 73/38/41 interchange and took 38N to get to my in-laws house yesterday, but now that I think about it, I left too early to have passed you.

Next time your ride blows out a tire in that spot, hit a brother up!

More noob trip planning questions

Looking like I'll be at the park Mon. June 13. I tried looking back on past trip reports for around this time and couldn't find any real patterns on attendance. I assume that is the first week area schools are out. Any guesses on park attendance?

I'll be solo so I'd like to avoid flash pass, but if it's needed, I'll make it happen. Any rides "Platinum only"? Are Single Rider lines an option?

How's SFGAdv's Rain Policy? I have the 12th as a backup plan but I'll likely be hungover as hell from the Copa America match the night before in Philly. Also it's a weekend Could also do Friday the 10th if the 12/13th are total washouts but that only happening if everything else is FUBARed.

What is the area around the park like? I won't have a car so SEPTA/Uber will get me to/from the park. If I'm there before open, is there a place I can walk to to kill time and get food? Also I would prefer to ditch the park for lunch/dinner since I've had few positive interactions with SF food service.

As always help us appreciated Thanks!

^Don't worry about weather, they run most of the coasters in the pouring rain. If you have a strict schedule with the rides you want to get on, the crowds won't mess up your day too much. But it's very hard to predict how crowded the park will be.

^^ Joker will be Platinum flash pass only. SRL's aren't an option, except on Green Lantern but the entrance to it is so far into the queue that it's basically worthless.

The area around the park is woods. Nothing within walking distance to eat so if you get there early you'll just be stuck in the lot. You'd have to call another Uber to leave the park and get something to eat.

Attendance could be a crapshoot, but you're going on a Monday so you should be fine. The park's weather policy is amazing; nothing closes in rain except Kingda Ka and Zumanjaro.

I tried to hit on everything.

Any rides "Platinum only"?

Joker is, but that's it.

Are Single Rider lines an option?

No

What area around the park? Just stand at the gate and play Candy Crush or something.

As far as Flash Pass, you won't need it but you can benefit from it. Kingda Ka does not run in the rain so if it's in the forecast, ride that first. Everything else runs pretty much regardless of weather except of course the Skyway and Parachutes.

Yea, you have a Wawa, a couple fast food joints, and ten miles of woods in every direction. If you REALLY don't want to eat inside the park, there are a couple options, but honestly there is good food to be had. You could always just go to Nathan's on the Boardwalk if you want something familiar.

Best food in the park, IMO, is from Macho Nacho. So if you like Mexican and actual edible food from a Six Flags park, that's your best bet.

Are Single Rider lines an option?

Zumanjaro always has it's SRL going. Green Lantern does sometimes but that's a big maybe. The Joker will have a single rider line as well but you still have to wait through the regular q-line. The SRL doesn't begin until near where the line separates to either side of the station.

Don't bother with the SRL on Zum, I swear it's like the crew just completely ignores it.

Ok, so I got to eat park food for the day. It's disappointing, but it is what it is. Kinda wishing I sprang for a Gold Dining pass now seeing that 2 meals in-park would basically cover 3/4 of what the sale price was. And I still got to buy a sports bottle to boot

Panda Express isn't on the dining plan so if you go there you won't feel ripped off. Really it's the only logical choice.

Team Panda has all the answers.

^ I love Panda Express, but if the SFGAd Panda is like the one at SFStL, it is absolutely disgusting! Hopefully that's not the case. But I know most of the parks are one in the same when it comes to food.

The Panda Express at SFGAdv is the best one I've experienced at an amusement park. Clean, fully air conditioned, lots of variety in the food options. I know some of the park locations only offer a handful of entrees. SFGAdv offers most if not all of the full menu, including my favorites Honey Walnut Shrimp and Beijing Beef.

Wow! That looks amazing. Wish I could attend the passholder preview days, but alas real life got in the way. Going to have to plan a weekday trip to get on this because if internet response indicates anything, the ride is going to be pulling people from all over in on weekends.
