Port City Brewing Optimal Wit--Alexandria, Va.

This is a pretty good Belgian-style ale.

A couple of goodies I had over the weekend.

Never had this before. Not bad, but not sure if I would get it again. Big fan of the summer shandys tho.

Tastes like soda. Meh.

Williamsburg Alewerks White Ale

It's not my favorite, but quite pleasant. They brew it with a nice mix of spices, including coriander.

I'm not much of a beer drinker (I prefer Vodka) . . .However, I just recently drank:

And it wasn't to bad!

Last year when I found out they were done shipping for the season I decided to create a massive stockpile in the basement (we have a beer fridge down there but it wouldn't all fit). I have six left and now it's shipping again. Suck it winter...

Williamsburg Alewerks Bitter Valentine

I think this is the best beer that Alewerks brews. I tend to like my beer on the bitter side.

Just read an article in the newspaper yesterday that Southern Tier will soon be building a new place in Charlotte, NC and open a brewpub in between the two sports stadiums in Pittsburgh!

Devil's Backbone (Lexington, Va.) Skull Crushing Ape

This is a dark doppelbock that I think got its name due to the distinct aroma of bananas when you open the bottle. It's pretty good stuff, and it's got a nice kick (8%).

If you're into dark beer, this is a very pleasant choice.

Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA

I think this is Sierra Nevada's best brew. It never disappoints.

Old Stitch Brown Ale--Alewerks (Williamsburg)

This is one of the brews Alerwerks makes for Colonial Williamsburg, and it's based on an 18th-century recipe. It's pretty durn good and quite smooth.
