When i went to BG last weekend all of the maps had python one it.....

I always like getting my Arrow Corkscrew credit, and I have no idea why. Probably because it's just old, and I like the older rides. Also, I'm tall enough that my head is far away from the dreaded Arrow harnesses.

I got to ride it with Erik Johnson last weekend, and took a few pictures and a little bit of video. When we got to the ride, it was closed due to the rain, but we were on the second train out when it opened back up. Anyone here want to work on a Python tribute video?

Does that mean they're removing that cool bridge that goes through the cobra roll? Or is that the only way to get to the rapids ride, I forget...

^There are two bridges to the River rapids area.

 

*The cobra roll bridge thats being removed .

*The bridge over by the left of Kumba.

^Its not the "only way" but its the easiest to use from the Stanlyville area. They wont tear it out, dont worry, that bridge isnt going anywhere!!!

I dont know much about the Busch Gardens parks but I like how the announcing over the speakers gives all the warnings and stuff.

I called the park last weekend and they said it wasen't being removed. I really hope it stays.

Well, i got my last ride about a month ago, and yeah, it sucked!

Rode it on the 25th. Yeah, so it kicked my ass, but it wasn't all THAT bad. Then again, I unbelievably (to some) found Gwazi Lion in the front seat very fun.

I rode Python in July 2002 when I was there. Identical to Knott's old Corkscrew; short, but a fun ride nonetheless.

 

Whether it stays or goes is apparently up in the air, so it seems. I can understand taking it out. It is old, and newer rides have certainly supassed it in terms of thrills. And the space could be used for something new, though I'm not sure a playground is the best use.

Is it possible that they just have a bunch of older maps left in stock and they aren't rotating them out?

^ It does seem odd that some people have a map that shows Python cleared out, and others have maps that still show Python. My guess is that you're right, Robb.

 

I've seen the same thing at SFMM, too. They've given me maps from the previous year because they had 'em left over.
